Prayers

Morning Offering
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer Thee all my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings
of this day for all the intentions of Thy Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
throughout the world, in reparation for my sins and especially for the intentions of the Holy Father the
Pope, (your intentions such as peace throughout the world, the poor souls in purgatory, my family, the
clergy, our leaders, and our enemies). Amen.

I wish to gain all the indulgences attached to the prayers I shall say and to the good works I perform this
day. Amen.

(Say two Our Father's, Hail Mary's, and Glory Be's in honor of the precious Drops of Blood Christ lost
on the way to Calgary every morning.)

The Apostle's Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our
Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was
crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell, the third day He arose again from the dead; He
ascended into heaven, sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to
judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the Communion of
Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Our Father
Our father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as
it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who
trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee. Blessed art Thou among women and blessed is the Fruit
of Thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory be to the Father

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever
shall be, world without end. Amen.

2
Hail Holy Queen
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To Thee do we cry, poor and
banished children of Eve. To Thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate, Thine eyes of mercy towards us, and after this our exile, show unto
us the blessed Fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

V. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.

R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us Pray: O God, by the life, death and resurrection of Your only-begotten Son, You purchased for
us the rewards of eternal life; grant, we beseech You, that while meditating on these mysteries of the Holy
Rosary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise. Through the same Christ our
Lord. Amen.

The Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to Thy
protection, implored Thy help or sought Thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this
confidence, I fly unto Thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To Thee do I come; before Thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in Thy mercy, hear
and answer them. Amen.

An indulgence of 3 years. A plenary indulgence under the usual conditions, if recited daily for a month.
(No.339)

Act of Faith
O my God, I firmly believe that Thou art one God in three Divine Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
I believe that Thy Divine Son became man, and died for our sins, and that He will come to judge the
living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the Holy Catholic Church teaches, because
Thou hast revealed them, Who canst neither deceive nor be deceived.

Act of Hope
O my God, relying on Thy almighty power and infinite mercy and promises, I hope to obtain pardon of
my sins, the help of Thy grace, and Life Everlasting, through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and
Redeemer.

3
3
An Act of Love
O my God, I love Thee above all things, with my whole heart and soul, because Thou art all-good and
worthy of all my love. I love my neighbor as myself for the love of Thee. I forgive all who have injured
me, and ask pardon of all whom I have injured.

Act of Contrition
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because I dread the loss
of Heaven and the pains of Hell; but most of all I offend Thee, my God, Who art all good and deserving
of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to
amend my life. Amen.

An indulgence of 3 years for each of the above four Acts. (No. 36.)

COME HOLY SPIRIT

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful, and kindle in them the fire of Thy love.

V. Send forth Thy Spirit, and they shall be created;

R. And they shalt renew the face of the earth.

Let Us Pray: O God, who hast taught the hearts of Thy faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that
by the gift of the same Spirit that we may truly wise, and ever rejoice in His consolation. Through Christ
our Lord. Amen.

Fatima Prayer
"O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls into Heaven especially
those who have most need of your mercy."

The Consecration to the Holy Angels
O Holy Angels of God, here, in the presence of the Triune God and in the love of Jesus Christ, my
Lord and Redeemer, I, N.N., poor sinner, want to make a covenant with you, who are his servants, so
that in union with you, I might work with humility and fortitude for the glory of God and the coming
of his Kingdom. Therefore, I implore you to assist me, especially - in the adoration of God and of the
Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar, - in the contemplation of the word and the salvific works of God,
-in the imitation of Christ and in the love of his Cross in a spirit of expiation, - in the faithful
fulfillment of my mission within the Church, serving humbly after the example of Mary, my heavenly
Mother, your Queen. And you, my good guardian angel, who continually behold the face of our
Father in heaven, God entrusted me to you from the very beginning of my life. I thank you with all my
heart for your loving care. I commit myself to you and promise you my love and fidelity. I beg you:
protect me against my own weakness and against the attacks of the wicked spirits; enlighten my mind
and my heart so that I may always know and accomplish the will of God; and lead me to union with
God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Conclusion
O glorious Prince St. Michael, chief and commander of the heavenly hosts, guardian of souls, vanquisher
of rebel spirits, servant in the house of the Divine King, and our admirable conductor, Thou who dost
shine with excellence and superhuman virtue, vouchsafe to deliver us from all evil, who turn to Thee with
confidence, and enable us by Thy gracious protection to serve God more and more faithfully every day.

V. Pray for us, O glorious St. Michael, prince of the Church of Jesus Christ.
R. That we may be made worthy of His promises.

Almighty and everlasting God, who by a prodigy of goodness and a merciful desire for the salvation of all
men, hast appointed the most glorious Archangel, St. Michael, Prince of Thy Church, make us worthy,
we beseech Thee, to be delivered from all our enemies that none of them may harass us at the time of our
death, but that we may be conducted by him into the august presence of Thy Divine Majesty. This we
beg through the merits of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

PRAYER TO ST. JOSEPH

all my interests and desires. Oh St. Joseph do assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me
from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord; so that having engaged here
below your heavenly power I may offer my Thanksgiving and Homage to the loving of fathers. Oh St.
Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms. I dare not approach while He
reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine Head for me, and ask Him to return the
kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for us. Amen.

A TRUE LETTER OF OUR SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST
Copy of a letter of the Oration found in the Holy Sepulcher of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Jerusalem,
preserved in a silver box by His Holiness and by the Emperors and Empresses of the Christian Faith.

St. Elizabeth, Queen of Hungary, with St. Matilda and St. Bridget, wishing to know something of the
Passion of Jesus Christ, offered fervent and special prayers, upon which appeared to them Our Lord Jesus
Christ who spoke to them in the following manner:

I descended from Heaven to the Earth in order to convert you. In olden times people were religious and
their harvests were abundant; at present, on the contrary, they are scanty. If you want to reap an
abundant harvest you must not work on Sunday, for on Sunday you must go to Church and pray to God
to forgive your sins. He gave you six days in which to work and one for rest and devotion and to tender
your help to the poor and assist the Church.

Those people, who brawl against my religion and cast slurs on this Sacred Letter, shall be forsaken by
me. On the contrary, those people who shall carry a copy of this letter with them shall be free from death
by drowning and from sudden death. They shall be free from all contagious diseases and lightening; they
shall not die without confession, and shall be free from their enemies and from the hands of wrongful
authority, and from all their slanderers and false witnesses.

Women in peril at child-birth will, by keeping this Oration about them, immediately overcome the
difficulty. In the houses where this Oration is kept no evil thing will ever happen: and forty days before
the death of a person who has this Oration about him or her, the Blessed Virgin will appear to him or her.
So said St. Gregorious.

"To all those faithful who shall recite for 3 years, each day, 2 Pater’s, Gloria’s and Ave’s, in honor
of the drops of blood I lost, I will concede the following 5 graces.

1st. The plenary indulgence and remittance of your sins. 2nd. You will be free from the pains of
Purgatory. 3rd. If you should die before completing the said 3 years, for you it will be the same as
if you had completed them. 4th. It will be upon your death the same as if you had shed all your
blood for the Holy Faith. 5th. I will descend from Heaven to take your soul and that of your
relatives, until the fourth generation." "Be it known that the number of armed soldiers were 150;
those who trailed me while I was bound were 23. The executioners of justice were 83; the blows
received on my head were 150; those on my stomach, 108; kicks on my shoulders, 80. I was led,
bound with cords by the hair, 24 times; spits in the face were 180; I was beaten on the body 6666
times; beaten on the head, 110 times. I was roughly pushed, and at 12 o'clock was lifted up by the
hair; pricked with thorns and pulled by the beard 23 times; received 20 wounds on the head;
thorns of marine junks, 72; pricks of thorns in the head, 110; mortal thorns in the forehead, 3. I
was afterwards flogged and dressed as a mocked king; wounds in the body, 1000. The soldiers
who led me to Calvary were 608; those who watched me were 3, and those who mocked me were
1008; the drops of blood which I lost were 28,430."

First Prayer

Our Father - Hail Mary.

Oh Jesus Christ! Eternal Sweetness to those who love Thee, Joy surpassing all joy and all desire,
Salvation and Hope of all sinners, Who hast proved that Thou hast no greater desire than to be among
men, even assuming human nature at the fullness of time for the love of men, recall all the sufferings
Thou hast endured from the instant of Thy conception, and especially during Thy Passion, as it was
decreed and ordained from all eternity in the Divine plan.

Remember, oh Lord, that during the Last Supper with Thy disciples, having washed their feet, Thou
gavest them Thy Most Precious Body and Blood, and while at the same time Thou didst so sweetly
console them, Thou didst foretell them Thy coming Passion.

11
11
Remember the sadness and bitterness which Thou didst experience in Thy Soul as Thou Thyself bore
witness saying: "My Soul is sorrowful, even unto death."

Remember all fear, anguish and pain that Thou didst suffer in Thy delicate Body before the torment of the
Crucifixion, when, after having prayed three times, bathed in a sweat of blood, Thou wast betrayed by
Judas, Thy disciple, arrested by the people of a nation Thou hadst chosen and elevated, accused by false
witnesses, unjustly judged by three judges during the flower of Thy youth and during the solemn Paschal
season.

Remember that Thou wast despoiled of Thy Garments and clothed in those of derision; that Thy Face and
Eyes were veiled, that Thou wast buffeted, crowned with thorns, a reed placed in Thy hands, that Thou
wast crushed with blows and overwhelmed with affronts and outrages.

In memory of all these pains and sufferings which Thou didst endure before Thy Passion on the Cross,
grant me before my death true contrition, a sincere and entire confession, worthy satisfaction and the
remission of all my sins. Amen.

Second Prayer

Our Father - Hail Mary.

Oh Jesus! True liberty of angels, Paradise of delights, remember the horror and sadness which Thou didst
endure when Thy enemies, like furious lions, surrounded Thee, and by thousands of insults, spits, blows,
lacerations, and other unheard-of-cruelties, tormented Thee at will. In consideration of these torments
and insulting words, I beseech Thee, oh my Savior, to deliver me from all my enemies, visible and
invisible, and to bring me, under Thy protection, to the perfection of eternal salvation. Amen.

Third Prayer

Our Father - Hail Mary.

Oh Jesus! Creator of Heaven and earth Whom nothing can encompass or limit, Thou Who dost enfold
and hold all under Thy Loving power, remember the very bitter pain Thou didst suffer when the Jews
nailed Thy Sacred Hands and Feet to the Cross by blow after blow with big blunt nails, and not finding
Thee in a pitiable enough state to satisfy their rage, they enlarged Thy Wounds, and added pain to pain,
and with indescribable cruelty stretched Thy Body on the Cross, pulled You from all sides, thus
dislocating Your Limbs.

I beg of Thee, oh Jesus, by the memory of this most Loving suffering of the Cross, to grant me the grace
to fear Thee and to Love Thee. Amen.
Fourth Prayer

Our Father - Hail Mary.

Oh Jesus! Heavenly Physician, raised aloft on the Cross to heal our wounds with Yours, remember the
bruises which Thou didst suffer and the weakness of all Thy Members which were distended to such a
degree that never was there pain like unto Thine. From the Crown of Thy Head to the Soles of Thy Feet
there was not one spot on Thy Body that was not in torment, and yet, forgetting all Thy sufferings, Thou
didst not cease to pray to Thy Heavenly Father for Thy enemies, saying "Father forgive them for they
know not what they do."

12
Through this great Mercy, and in memory of this suffering, grant that the remembrance of Thy Most
Bitter Passion may effect in us a perfect contrition and the remission of all our sins. Amen.

Fifth Prayer

Our Father - Hail Mary.

Oh Jesus! Mirror of eternal splendor, remember the sadness which Thou experienced, when
contemplating in the light of Thy Divinity the predestination of those who would be saved by the merits
of Thy Sacred Passion. Thou didst see at the same time, the great multitude of reprobates who would be
damned for their sins, and Thou didst complain bitterly of those lost and unfortunate sinners.

Through this abyss of compassion and pity, and especially through the goodness which Thou displayed to
the good thief when Thou saidst to him: "This day, Thou shalt be with Me in Paradise." I beg of Thee, oh
Sweet Jesus, that at the hour of my death, Thou wilt show me mercy. Amen.

Sixth Prayer

Our Father - Hail Mary.

Oh Jesus! Beloved and most desirable King, remember the grief Thou didst suffer, when naked and like
a common criminal, Thou was fastened and raised on the Cross, when all Thy relatives and friends
abandoned Thee, except Thy Beloved Mother, who remained close to Thee during Thy agony and whom
Thou didst entrust to Thy faithful disciple when Thou saidst to Mary. "Woman, behold Thy son!" and to
St. John: "Son, behold Thy Mother!"

I beg of Thee oh my Saviour, by the sword of sorrow which pierced the soul of Thy Holy Mother, to
have compassion on me in all my affliction and tribulations, both corporal and spiritual, and to assist me
in all my trials, especially at the hour of my death. Amen.

13
13
Seventh Prayer

Our Father - Hail Mary.

Oh Jesus! Inexhaustible Fountain of compassion, Who by a profound gesture of Love, said from the
Cross: "I thirst!" suffered from the thirst for the salvation of the human race. I beg of Thee oh my
Savior, to inflame in our hearts the desire to tend toward perfection in all our acts; and to extinguish in
us the concupiscence of the flesh and the ardor of worldly desires. Amen.

Eighth Prayer

Our Father - Hail Mary.

Oh Jesus! Sweetness of hearts, Delight of the spirit, by the bitterness of the vinegar and gall which Thou
didst taste on the Cross for Love of us, grant us the grace to receive worthily Thy Precious Body and
Blood during our life and at the hour of our death, that they may serve as a remedy and consolation for
our souls. Amen.

Ninth Prayer

Our Father - Hail Mary.

Oh Jesus! Royal Virtue, joy of the mind, recall the pain Thou didst endure when, plunged in an ocean of
bitterness at the approach of death, insulted, outraged by the Jews, Thou didst cry out in a loud voice that
Thou was abandoned by Thy Father, saying: "My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken me?"

Through this anguish, I beg of Thee, oh my Savior, not to abandon me in the terrors and pains of my
death. Amen.

Tenth Prayer

Our Father - Hail Mary.

Oh Jesus! Who art the beginning and the end of all things, life and virtue, remember that for our sakes
Thou was plunged in an abyss of suffering from the soles of Thy Feet to the Crown of Thy Head. In
consideration of the enormity of Thy Wounds, teach me to keep, through pure love, Thy Commandments,
whose way is wide and easy for those who love Thee. Amen.

Eleventh Prayer

Our Father - Hail Mary.

Oh Jesus! Deep abyss of mercy, I beg of Thee, in memory of Thy Wounds which penetrated to the very
marrow of Thy Bones and to the depth of Thy being, to draw me, a miserable sinner, overwhelmed by my
offenses, away from sin and to hide me from Thy Face justly irritated against me, hide me in Thy Wounds
until Thy anger and just indignation shall have passed away. Amen.

14
Twelfth Prayer

Our Father - Hail Mary.

Oh Jesus! Mirror of Truth, Symbol of Unity, Link of Charity, remember the multitude of wounds with
which Thou was covered from head to foot, torn and reddened by the spilling of Thy adorable Blood. Oh
Great and Universal Pain which Thou didst suffer in Thy Virginal Flesh for Love of us! Sweetest Jesus!
What is there that Thou couldst have done for us which Thou hast not done! May the fruit of Thy
sufferings be renewed in my soul by the faithful remembrance of Thy Passion, and may Thy Love increase
in my heart each day, until I see Thee in eternity, Thou Who art the treasury of every real good and every
joy, which I beg Thee to grant me, oh Sweetest Jesus, in Heaven. Amen.

Thirteenth Prayer

Our Father - Hail Mary.

Oh Jesus! Strong Lion, Immortal and Invincible King, remember the pain which Thou didst endure when
all Thy strength, both moral and physical, was entirely exhausted, Thou didst bow Thy Head, saying: "It
is consummated!"

Through this anguish and grief, I beg of Thee Lord Jesus, to have mercy on me at the hour of my death
when my mind will be greatly troubled and my soul will be in anguish. Amen.

Fourteenth Prayer

Our Father - Hail Mary.

Oh Jesus! Only Son of the Father, Splendor and Figure of His Substance, remember the simple and
humble recommendation Thou didst make of Thy Soul to Thy Eternal Father, saying: "Father, unto Thy
Hands I commend My Spirit!" And with Thy Body all torn, and Thy Heart Broken, and the bowels of
Thy Mercy open to redeem us, Thou didst expire. By this Precious Death, I beg of Thee oh King of
Saints, comfort me and help me to resist the devil, the flesh and the world, so that being dead to the
world I may live for Thee alone. I beg of Thee at the hour of my death to receive me, a pilgrim and an
exile returning to Thee. Amen.

Fifteenth Prayer

Our Father - Hail Mary.

Oh Jesus! True and fruitful Vine! Remember the abundant outpouring of Blood which Thou didst so
generously shed from Thy Sacred Body as juice from the grapes in a wine press.

From Thy Side, pierced with a lance by a soldier, blood and water issued forth until there was not left in
Thy Body a single drop, and finally, like a bundle of myrrh lifted to the top of the Cross Thy delicate
Flesh was destroyed, the very substance of Thy Body withered, and the Marrow of Thy Bones dried up.

Through this bitter Passion and through the outpouring of Thy Precious Blood, I beg of Thee oh Sweet
Jesus, to receive my soul when I am in my death agony. Amen

Conclusion

15
15
Oh, Sweet Jesus! Pierce my heart so that my tears of penitence and love will be my bread day and night;
may I be converted entirely to Thee, may my heart be Thy perpetual habitation, may my conversion be
pleasing to Thee, and may the end of my life be so praiseworthy that I may merit Heaven and there with
Thy saints, praise Thee forever. Amen.

EXORCISM AGAINST SATAN AND THE REBELLIOUS ANGELS PUBLISHED BY ORDER
OF HIS HOLINESS, POPE LEO XIII (TRANSLATION)

In the Name of The Father and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit. Amen.

Prayer to Saint Michael, The Archangel

Glorious-Prince of The Celestial Host, St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in the conflict which we
have to sustain against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the world of the darkness, against
the spirits of wickedness in the high places. (To the Ephesians, VI, 12). Come to the rescue of men
whom God has created to His own image and likeness and whom He has redeemed at a great price, from
the tyranny of the devil. It is Thou whom the Holy Church venerates as her guardian and her protector;
Thou whom the Lord has charged to conduct redeemed souls into Heaven. Pray, therefore, the God of
Peace to subdue Satan beneath our feet, that he may no longer retain men captive nor do injury to the
Church. Present our prayers to the Most High, that without delay they may draw His mercy down upon
us. Seize <<the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan>>, bind him and cast him into the
bottomless pit. <<that he (may) no longer seduce the nations>>. (Apoc. XX, 2, 3)

Exorcism
In the Name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Saviour, strengthened by the intercession of the
Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God, of the Blessed Michael, the Archangel, of the Blessed
Apostles, Peter and Paul and all the Saints, (and powerful in the holy authority of our ministry), we
confidently undertake to repulse the attacks and deceits of the devil.

Psalm 67
Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; let them that hate Him flee before Him.
<<As smoke is driven away so drive them away; as wax melts before the fire so let the wicked
perish at the presence of God.>>

V. Behold the Cross of the Lord, flee bands of enemies.

R. He has conquered, the Lion of the Tribe of Juda, the offspring of David.
V. May Thy mercy, Lord, descend upon us.
R. As great as our hope in Thee.

We drive you from us, whoever you may be, unclean spirits, Satanic Powers, infernal invaders, wicked
legions, assemblies and sects; in the Name and by the virtue of Our Lord Jesus Christ +, may you be
snatched away and driven from the Church of God and from the souls redeemed by the Precious Blood of
the Divine Lamb +. Cease your audacity, cunning serpent, to delude the human race, to persecute the
Church, to torment God's elect, and to sift them as wheat +. This is the command made to you by the
Most High God + with whom in your haughty insolence you still pretend to be equal +. The God <who
will have all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.> (I Tim., II,4.) God the Father
Commands you +; God the Son commands you +; God the Holy Spirit commands you +; The Christ,
God's Word Made Flesh, commands you +; He who to save our race, out-done through your malice,
<humbled Himself becoming obedient even unto death;> (Phil., II,8) He who has built His Church on the
firm rock and declared that the gates of hell shall not prevail against her, because He dwells with her <all
days even to the consummation of the ages.> (St> Math., XXVIII, 20) The hidden virtue of the Cross
requires it of you as does also the power of the mysteries of the Christian Faith +. The glorious Mother
17

of God, the Virgin Mary, commands you +; She who by Her humility and from the first moment of Her
Immaculate Conception crushed your proud head. The faith of the Holy Apostles, Peter and Paul and of
the other Apostles commands you +. The blood of martyrs and the pious intercession of all the Saints
commands you +.

Thus, cursed dragon, and you wicked legions, we adjure you by the living God +, by the true God +.
by the holy God +, by the God <who so loved the whole world that He delivered His only Son, that every
soul believing in Him might not perish but have life everlasting> (St. John, III): Cease deceiving human
creatures and pouring out to them the poison of eternal perdition; cease harming the Church and
hindering her liberty. Retreat, Satan, inventor and master of all deceit, enemy of man's salvation Cede the
place to Christ in whom you have found none of your works. Cede the place to the One, Holy, Catholic
and Apostolic Church acquired by Christ at the price of His Precious Blood Stoop beneath the all-
powerful Hand of God; tremble and flee at the evocation of the holy and terrible Name of Jesus, this
name which the Virtues, Powers, and Dominions of heaven are humbly submissive, this name to which
the Cherubim and the Seraphim praise unceasingly repeating: Holy, Holy, is the Lord, the God of armies.
V. O Lord, hear my prayer.
R. And let my cry come unto Thee.
V. May the Lord be with Thee.
R. And with Thy spirit.

God of heaven, God of earth, God of Angels, God of Archangels, God of Patriarchs, God of
Prophets, God of Apostles, God of Martyrs, God of confessors, God of Virgins, God who has the power
to give life after death and rest after work, because there is no other, for Thou art the Creator of all
things, visible and invisible, of whose reign there shall be no end, we humbly prostrate ourselves before
Thy Glorious Majesty and we supplicate Thee to deliver us from all the tyranny of the infernal spirits,
from their snares, and their furious wickedness. Deign, O Lord, to protect us by Thy power and to
preserve us safe and sound. We beseech Thee through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

From the snares of the Devil, deliver us, O Lord That Thy Church may serve Thee in peace and liberty;
We beseech Thee to hear us That Thou may crush down all enemies of Thy Church; we beseech Thee to
hear us.
(Holy Water is sprinkled in the place where we may be.)

FOURTEEN HOLY HELPERS
As devotion spread, Pope Nicholas V attached indulgences to devotion of the Fourteen Holy Helpers in
the 16th century, but these are no longer attached under the modern norms and grants. INVOCATION
OF THE HOLY HELPERS

Fourteen Holy Helpers, who served God in humility and confidence on earth and are now in the
enjoyment of His beatific vision in Heaven; because thou persevered till death thou gained the crown of
eternal life. Remember the dangers that surround us in this vale of tears, and intercede for us in all our

life and doing penance. Obtain for me the grace to serve God with a willing heart, to be resigned to His
holy will, to be patient in adversity and to persevere unto the end, so that, having finished my earthly
course, I may join thee in Heaven, there to praise for ever God, who is wonderful in His Saints. Amen.

A Prayer to Saint Pio
Beloved Saint Pio, today I come to add my prayer to the thousands of prayers offered to you every day
by those who love and venerate you. They ask for cures and healings, earthly and spiritual blessings, and
peace for body and mind. And because of your friendship with the Lord, he heals those you ask to be
healed, and forgives those you forgive.

Through your visible wounds of the Cross, which you bore for 50 years, you were chosen in our time to
glorify the crucified Jesus. Because the Cross has been replaced by other symbols, please help us to bring
it back in our midst, for we acknowledge it is the only true sign of salvation.

As we lovingly recall the wounds that pierced your hands, feet and side, we not only remember the blood
you shed in pain, but your smile, and the invisible halo of sweet smelling flowers that surrounded your
presence, the perfume of sanctity.

Padre Pio, may the healings of the sick become the testimony that the Lord has invited you to join the
holy company of Saints. In your kindness, please help me with my own special request: (mention here
your petition, and make the sign of the Cross).

Bless me and my loved ones. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

In Memoriam J.S. The following quotes of Saint Pio tell how he looked after and loved his spiritual
family:
'I love my Spiritual Children as much as my own soul and even more.'
'Once I take a soul on, I also take on their entire family as my spiritual children.'
'To my Spiritual Children, my prayers for you will never be lacking.'
'If one of my spiritual children ever goes astray, I shall leave my flock and seek him out.'

ACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY

(by St. Louis De Montfort)

I, (Name), a faithless sinner, renew and ratify today in Thy hands, O Immaculate Mother, the vows of my
Baptism; I renounce forever Satan, his pomps and works; and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ, the
Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life, and to be more faithful to Him than
I ever have before.

In the presence of the heavenly court, I choose Thee this day for my Mother and Mistress. I deliver and
consecrate to Thee, as Thy slave, my body and soul, my good works, both interior and exterior, and even
the value of all my good actions, past, present and future; leaving to Thee the entire and full right of
disposing of me, and all that belongs to me, without exception, according to Thy good pleasure, for the
greater glory of God, in time and in eternity. Amen.

THE FIFTEEN PROMISES OF MARY TO THOSE WHO RECITE THE ROSARY

1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the rosary, shall receive signal graces.
2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the rosary.
3. The rosary shall be a powerful armour against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat
heresies.
4. It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of
God; it will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and it will lift
them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, the souls that would sanctify themselves by this means.
5. Whosoever shall recite the rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred
mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he
shall not perish by an unprovided death; if he be just he shall remain in the grace of God, and
become worthy of eternal life.
6. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the rosary, shall not perish.
7. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the
Church.
8. Those who are faithful to recite the rosary shall have during their life and at their death the Light
of God and the plenitude of His graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the merits
of the saints in Paradise.
9. I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the rosary.
10. The faithful children of the rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in heaven.
11. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the rosary.
12. All those who propagate the holy rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the rosary shall have for intercessors
the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death.
14. All who recite the rosary are my sons, and the brothers of my only Son, Jesus Christ.
15. Devotion of my rosary is a great sign of predestination.

27
27
1. Make the Sign of the Cross and say the "Apostles' Creed."
2. Say the "Our Father."
3. Say three "Hail Marys."
4. Say the "Glory be to the Father."
5. Announce the First Mystery; then say the "Our Father."
6. Say ten "Hail Marys," while meditating on the Mystery.
7. Say the "Glory be to the Father."
8. Announce the Second Mystery; then say the "Our Father." Repeat 6 and 7 and continue with Third,
Fourth and Fifth Mysteries in the same manner.

After the Rosary:

HAIL, HOLY QUEEN, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope! To thee do we cry,
poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of
tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show
unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
V. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray. O GOD, whose only begotten Son, by His life, death, and resurrection, has purchased for
us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech Thee, that meditating upon these mysteries of the Most
Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise,
through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.
After each decade, say the following prayer requested by the Blessed Virgin Mary at Fatima: "O my
Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who
have most need of your mercy."
After each decade, you nay also want to add the “Payer to Saint Michael”: “St. Michael, the Archangel,
defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke
him, we heavenly pray, and do Thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God cast into Hell
Satan and all the other evil spirits who wonder throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.“
As suggested by the Pope John Paul II the Joyful mysteries are said on Monday and Saturday, the
Luminous on Thursday, the Sorrowful on Tuesday and Friday, and the Glorious on Wednesday and
Sunday (with this exception: Sundays of Christmas season - The Joyful; Sundays of Lent - Sorrowful)

The First Joyful Mystery
THE ANNUNCIATION

1 The time for the Incarnation is at hand.

2 Of all women God prepared Mary from her conception to
be the Mother of the Incarnate Word.
3 The Angel Gabriel announces: "Hail, full of grace! The
Lord is with thee."
4 Mary wonders at this salutation.
5 The Angel assures her: "Fear not . . . you shall conceive in
your womb, and give birth to a Son."
6 Mary is troubled for she has made a vow of virginity.
7 The Angel answers that she will conceive by the power of
the Holy Spirit, and her Son will be called the Son of
God.
8 The Incarnation awaits Mary's consent.
9 Mary answers: "Behold the handmaid of the Lord. Be it
done unto me according to your word."
10 The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.

Spiritual Fruit: Humility

The Second Joyful Mystery
THE VISITATION

11 Mary's cousin Elizabeth conceived a son in her old age . . .

for nothing is impossible with God.
12 Charity prompts Mary to hasten to visit Elizabeth in the
hour of her need.
13 The journey to Elizabeth's home is about eighty miles
requiring four or five days.
14 Though long and arduous, the journey is joyous, for Mary
bears with her the Incarnate Word.
15 At Mary's salutation, John the Baptist is sanctified in his
mother's womb.
16 Elizabeth exclaims: "Blessed are you among women, and
blessed is the fruit of your womb."
17 "How have I deserved that the mother of my Lord should
come to me?"
18 "Blessed is she who believed that the Lord's words to her
would be fulfilled."
19 Mary replies: "My soul proclaims the greatness of the
Lord, and my spirit finds joy in God my Savior."
20 Mary serves her cousin in all humility for three months
until the birth of John the Baptist.

Spiritual Fruit: Love of Neighbor

The Third Joyful Mystery

29
29
THE NATIVITY

21 Joseph and Mary go to Bethlehem to comply with the

decree of Caesar Augustus.
22 The hour for Mary to give birth is near, but there is no
room in the inn.
23 In the stillness of the night, the Savior is born in a cave,
Mary remaining a Virgin.
24 She wraps Him in swaddling clothes and lays Him in a
manger.
25 In unspeakable joy Mary gathers to her bosom the Flower
of her virginity.
26 Jesus enters the world in poverty to teach the lesson of
detachment from earthly things.
27 The angel announces to the shepherds: "Today there is
born to you in the town of David a Savior, Who is
Christ the Lord."
28 The angelic chorus sing: "Glory to God in the highest, and
peace to His people on earth."
29 The shepherds come to the stable to pay homage to the
Infant Jesus.
30 The Magi come to adore the Holy Child and offer Him
gifts.

Spiritual Fruit: Poverty of Spirit

The Fourth Joyful Mystery

THE PRESENTATION

31 Observing the law of Moses they take Jesus to the temple

to present Him to the Lord.
32 According to the Law the firstborn male child of every
family should be consecrated to the Lord.
33 Mary offers her Son to the Father, then ransoms Him back
at the price paid by the poor.
34 Jesus is not subject to the law of Moses, yet to teach
obedience, submits to it.
35 Mary is not subject to the law of purification, yet in
humility she submits to it.
36 God had revealed to Simeon that he would not see death
until he had seen the Messiah.
37 Recognizing the Child, he prays: “Now you can dismiss
your servant in peace. You have fulfilled your word.”
38 “This Child is destined to be the downfall and rise of many
in Israel, a sign that will be opposed.”
39 And to Mary Simeon reveals: “And your own soul a sword
shall pierce.”
40 After they fulfill all the Law requires they return to
Nazareth.

30
Spiritual Fruit: Purity of mind and body
The Fifth Joyful Mystery

THE FINDING OF JESUS IN THE TEMPLE

41 When Jesus is twelve years old, He goes with His parents

to Jerusalem for the feast of the Passover.
42 After the feast of the Passover, Joseph and Mary
unknowingly set out for Nazareth without Jesus.
43 At the end of the first day's journey they discover Jesus is
missing.
44 His parents return immediately looking for Him.
45 This loss causes grief and anxiety beyond our
understanding to the hearts of Mary and Joseph.
46 On the third day they find Jesus in the Temple among the
Doctors who were astonished at His wisdom.
47 Mary: "Son, why have you done this to us? Your father
and I have been searching for you in sorrow."
48 Jesus: "Why did you search for me? Did you not know that
I must be about my Father's business?"
49 Jesus goes down with them to Nazareth, and is subject to
them.
50 Mary keeps all these things in her heart.

Spiritual Fruit: Obedience

The Sorrowful Mysteries

The First Sorrowful Mystery

THE AGONY IN THE GARDEN

1 Jesus comes with his disciples to Gethsemani: "Stay here,

while I go yonder and pray."
2 Entering the garden with Peter, James, and John, Jesus
prays, "My soul is sorrowful unto death."
3 Jesus sees the sins of all mankind, whose guilt He has taken
upon Himself.
4 He sees the wrath of the Father which His sufferings must
appease.
5 So great is his anguish that His sweat becomes as drops of
blood falling to the ground.
6 An angel appears to Him from heaven to strengthen Him.
7 "Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet, not
My will but Yours be done."
8 Finding the disciples asleep: "Could you not watch one hour
with me?"
9 Jesus is betrayed by Judas, cruelly bound and led away.
10 Father, by the merits of the agony of Jesus in the Garden,
have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Spiritual Fruit: God's Will be done

The Second Sorrowful Mystery

THE SCOURGING AT THE PILLAR

11 Jesus is taken before the High Priest where He is falsely

accused, buffeted and insulted.
12 The Jewish leaders take Jesus before Pilate, for only he can
impose the death penalty.
13 The robber, Barabbas, is preferred to Jesus.
14 Pilate can "find no cause in Him", yet to appease the Jews,
he orders Jesus to be scourged.
15 The scourge is made of leather thongs to which are attached
small sharp bones.
16 Jesus is bound to a pillar and cruelly scourged until His
whole body is covered with deep wounds.
17 The Lamb of God offers His suffering for the sins of
mankind.
18 Jesus suffers so much in His sacred flesh to satisfy,
especially, for sins of the flesh.
19 The prophesy of Isiah is fulfilled: "He was wounded for our
iniquities, He was bruised for our sins."
20 Father, by the merits of Jesus in this painful scourging, have

32
mercy on us and on the whole world.

Spiritual Fruit: Mortification of the senses

The Third Sorrowful Mystery

THE CROWNING WITH THORNS

21 Pilate asks, "Are You a king?" Jesus answers: "I am a King,

but My kingdom is not of this world."
22 In the praetorium, the soldiers place an old purple robe on
Jesus in mockery of His claim to be a king.
23 They fashion a crown out of thorns, and forcefully press it
down upon His head.
24 In His bound hands they place a reed, as a sceptre, in
mockery of His kingship.
25 Kneeling before Him in derision, they spit on Him, and cry
out: "Hail, King of the Jews!"
26 Taking the reed from His hand they strike Him on the head,
driving the thorns more deeply into His scalp.
27 Pilate brings Jesus before the people, hoping His pitiful sight
will soften them: "Behold the man!"
28 Their response: "Crucify Him! Crucify Him!"
29 Our Blessed Lord submitted to this terrible humiliation to
make reparation for our pride.
30 Father, by the merits of this painful humiliation, have mercy
on us and on the whole world.

Spiritual Fruit: Reign of Christ in our heart

The Fourth Sorrowful Mystery

THE CARRYING OF THE CROSS

31 One condemned to death by crucifixion is forced to carry the

cross to the place of execution.
32 The suffering of Jesus is intense as the cross is laid on His
bruised and wounded back and shoulders.
33 Weak and exhausted from loss of blood, lack of food and
rest, Jesus falls three times under the cross.
34 Jesus meets His afflicted Mother causing untold anguish in
the Hearts of Son and Mother.
35 The countenance of Jesus is disfigured with blood and sweat,
with dust and spittle.
36 Veronica wipes His face, leaving on her towel the image of
His countenance.
37 Fearing that Jesus might die on the way, the soldiers force
Simeon of Cyrene to carry the cross behind Jesus.
38 Jesus speaks to weeping women; "Weep not for Me, but for
yourselves and your children."
39 "If anyone is to be My disciple, let him take up his cross and
follow Me."
33
33
40 Father, by the merits of this painful journey to Calvary, have
mercy on us and on the whole world.

Spiritual Fruit: Patient bearing of trials

The Fifth Sorrowful Mystery

THE CRUCIFIXION

41 The hands and feet of Jesus are nailed to the cross in the
presence of His afflicted Mother.
42 "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do."
43 "This day you will be with Me in paradise."
44 "Woman, behold your Son. Son, behold your Mother."
45 "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"
46 "I thirst."
47 "It is finished."
48 "Father, into Your hands I commend My spirit."
49 The side of Jesus is pierced with a lance. His body is taken
down and placed in the arms of His Mother.
50 Father, by the merits of the crucifixion and death of Jesus,
have mercy on us and on the whole world.

The First Glorious Mystery

THE RESURRECTION

1 The body of Jesus is placed in the tomb on the evening of

Good Friday.
2 His soul descends into the realm of the dead to announce to
the Just the tidings of their redemption.
3 Fearing the body of Jesus will be taken, the chief priests place
guards at the tomb.
4 On the third day Jesus rises from the dead, glorious and
immortal.
5 The earth quakes as the angel rolls back the stone, the guards
flee in terror.
6 The holy women coming to anoint the body of Jesus are
amazed and frightened to find the tomb open.
7 An angel calms their fears: "He is not here. He has risen as
He said."
8 Jesus appears to Mary Magdalen and Peter and two disciples
on the way to Emmaus.
9 That evening He appears to the apostles behind locked doors:
"Peace be unto you ... do not be afraid."
10 Jesus breathes on them and gives them the power to forgive
sin.

The Second Glorious Mystery

THE ASCENSION

11 Jesus remains on earth forty days after His Resurrection to

prove He has truly risen from the dead.
12 He commissions the apostles to preach the gospel to every
creature, and promises to be with them forever.
13 He will not leave them orphans, but will send the Holy Spirit
to enlighten and strengthen them.
14 Jesus proceeds to Mt. Olivet accompanied by His Mother and
the apostles and disciples.
15 Extending His pierced hands over all in a last blessing, He
ascends into heaven.
16 As He ascends a cloud takes Him from their sight.
17 Jesus ascends to take His place at the right hand of the
Father.
18 What jubilation there must be amid the angels of heaven at
the triumphant entry of Jesus.
19 The wounds in His glorified body are an endless plea before

35
35
the Father on our behalf.
20 The disciples leave Mt. Olivet and "return to Jerusalem with
great joy."

THE DESCENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

21 The apostles are gathered in the upper room where Jesus had
held the Last Supper.
22 They are persevering in prayer with Mary the Mother of
Jesus.
23 A sound comes from heaven like the rush of a mighty wind,
and it fills the whole house.
24 The Holy Spirit descends on each of them in the form of
tongues of fire.
25 Filled with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, they are enlightened
and strengthened to spread the gospel.
26 Having lost all fear of the Jewish leaders, the apostles boldly
preach Christ crucified.
27 The multitudes are confounded because every man hears
them speak in his own tongue.
28 The Holy Spirit comes upon the Infant Church never to leave
it.
29 That first day Peter goes forth to preach and baptizes three
thousand.
30 The feast of Pentecost is the birthday of the Church, for on
that day it begins to grow.

The Fourth Glorious Mystery

THE ASSUMPTION

31 After the apostles have dispersed, the Blessed Mother goes to

live with John, the beloved disciple.
32 Mary lives many years on earth after the death of Christ.

36
33 She is a source of comfort, consolation and strength to the
apostles.
34 As she had nourished the infant Jesus, so she nourishes
spiritually the infant Church.
35 Mary dies, not of bodily infirmity, but is wholly ravished in a
rapture of divine love.
36 Her body as well as her soul is taken up into heaven.
37 After her burial the apostles go to the tomb and find only
fragrant lilies.
38 Jesus does not permit the sinless body of His Mother to decay
in the grave.
39 Corruption of the body is an effect of original sin from which
Mary is totally exempted.
40 The bodies of all mankind, at the last judgment, will be
brought back and united again to the soul.

THE CORONATION

41 As Mary enters heaven, the entire court of heaven greets with

joy this masterpiece of God's creation.
42 Mary is crowned by her divine Son as Queen of heaven and
earth.
43 More than we can ever know the Hearts of Jesus and Mary
overflow with joy at this reunion.
44 Only in heaven will we know the great majesty of that
coronation, and the joy it gave to the angels and saints.
45 Even the angels, who by nature are greater than humans, hail
Mary as their Queen.
46 Mary shares so fully in the glory of Christ because she shared
so fully in His suffering.
47 Only in heaven will we see how central is the role of Mary in
the divine plan of redemption.
48 The angels and saints longed for the coming of her whose
heel crushes the head of the serpent.
49 Mary pleads our cause as a most powerful Queen and a most
merciful and loving Mother.
50 A great sign appeared in heaven; a woman clothed with the
sun, the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of
twelve stars.

THE BAPTISM OF THE LORD

1 John is baptizing in the Jordan proclaiming a baptism of

repentance.
2 "I am the voice of one crying in the desert, make straight the
way of the Lord."
3 "One mightier than I is coming after me."
4 "I have baptized you with water, He will baptize you with the
Holy Spirit."
5 Seeing Jesus, John exclaims: "Behold the Lamb of God."
6 After Jesus' baptism a voice from Heaven: "This is my beloved
Son in whom I am well pleased."
7 The Spirit descends upon Jesus in the form of a dove.
8 In this heavenly manifestation is instituted the sacrament of
baptism.
9 The divine Trinity is manifested: the voice of the Father is
heard as the Spirit descends upon the Son.
10 Filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus was led by the Spirit into the
desert for 40 days.

The Second Luminous Mystery

THE WEDDING OF CANA

11 Jesus, His Mother and disciples were invited to a wedding in

Cana.
12 During the wedding feast the wine ran short.
13 Mary turned to Jesus: "They have no wine."
14 Jesus replied: "What would you have me do? My hour has not
yet come."
15 Mary said to the waiters: "Do whatever he tells you."
16 There were six stone water jars, each holding fifteen to twenty
gallons.
17 Jesus bids the waiters to fill the jars with water, and then draw
some out and take it to the chief steward.
18 The chief steward said to the groom: "Every man serves the
good wine first... but you have saved the good wine until
now."
19 At Mary’s request, Jesus worked His first miracle.
20 By His presence, Christian marriage was raised to the dignity
of a Sacrament.

THE PROCLAMATION OF THE KINGDOM

38
21 "Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand."
22 "My kingdom is not of this world."
23 "Unless a man be born again of water and the Spirit, he cannot
enter the kingdom of heaven."
24 "Whoever does not accept the kingdom of God as a little child
will not enter into it."
25 "I have come to call sinners, not the just."
26 "Love your enemies, pray for those who persecute you."
27 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of
heaven."
28 "Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for justice, for they
shall be satisfied."
29 "Blessed are they who suffer persecution for justice' sake, for
theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
30 "You are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church... I
will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven."

The Fourth Luminous Mystery

THE TRANSFIGURATION

31 Jesus took Peter, James and John up a high mountain to pray.

32 Jesus was transfigured before them.
33 "His face became as dazzling as the sun, his clothes as radiant
as light."
34 This was to fortify their faith to withstand the coming tragedy
of the Passion.
35 Jesus foresaw the 'scandal of the cross,' and prepared them for
it by this manifestation of His glory.
36 Moses and Elias (representing the Law and the prophets of the
Old Testament) were conversing with Jesus about His
passion.
37 "Do not think I have come to destroy the Law or the
Prophets... but to fulfill them."
38 From a cloud came a voice: "This is my beloved Son, listen to
Him."
39 Jesus admonishes them not to tell the vision to anyone until
the Son of Man rises from the dead.
40 We too will behold the transfigured Jesus on the Last Day.

The Fifth Luminous Mystery

THE INSTITUTION OF THE EUCHARIST

41 I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I

suffer.
42 Jesus took bread, blessed it: "Take and eat, this is My Body."
43 Taking the wine: "This cup is the new covenant in my Blood,
39
39
shed for you."
44 At that Eucharistic meal, Jesus celebrated the first Mass.
45 At every Mass the sacrifice of Calvary is made present.
46 At the Last Supper Jesus instituted the sacrament of Holy
Orders to perpetuate this sacrifice.
47 "Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me
and I in him."
48 The Eucharist is a sacrifice inasmuch as it is offered up, and a
sacrament inasmuch as it is received.
49 In the Mass we offer ourselves to God, and God gives himself
to us.
50 The Mass will be fruitful in the measure of our surrender to
the Father.
