HISTORY OF BROOKS COMPANY:

Brooks pharmaceutical company established in 1986.They initially started there business with packing of imported medicine. For the daily 18 hours work of Abdul Haseeb Khan, he became his company the fifth largest national pharmaceutical company in a period of ten years, still growing up out of 3000 companies. Now become the manufacture of many essential medicines like hepamers for liver diseases, pyodine for antiseptic used in hospitals and surgical department, flogine for arthritis and goute, oxoforine for bones and injuries and hemo plus for iron deficiency. Sri Lanka was the first foreign market, to which Brookes made its appearance in 1996. It has since then been pretty successful in penetrating the 'pharmacy bazaars' of a number of Asian and African countries including Russia, Kenya, Sudan, Afghanistan and Myanmar. This success, while attributable to its aggressive marketing strategies, is one of the indicators of the organization's growing global recognition as a producer of quality medicines. He says that Education is the most important part of our manifesto as it prepares the young kids against the challenges of professional life and also imparts to take best decisions in their lives SCHOOL FOR POOR PEOPLES: Brookes' social contributions span a vast area of collective life from primary, secondary and higher education to civic development. A creator and developer of Brookes Education Systems, the organization is engaged in setting up a chain of charitable schools in the deprived areas of the city. The first school of kind has already been established at Surjani Town with an initial investment of about 4 million rupees and second set up Amal-e- Danish in khuda ki basti where slum children get quality education free of cost. A unique aspect of this school is that, in addition to books and stationery, it provides children with free food and free medical treatment. This work is nice service for poor where more than five hundred students getting education and further continues their studies in good colleges and universities in Karachi.

RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES: For promoting higher education particularly in the field of pharmacy, Brookes has made generous endowments to various educational and research institutions of different government and private universities. The biggest contribution in this regard has been made for setting up the Research Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (RIPS) at the University of Karachi. Pakistan Pharmaceutical Educational Foundation (PPEF) is yet another NGO established by Brookes to have the specific purpose of establishing a liaison between the academia and the industry in order to acquaint the pharma graduates with the new practices, procedures and standards existing in the world of pharmaceuticals.

CONTRIBUTION IN HEALTH: According to Abdul Haseeb Khan: Health is a blessing and its importance cant be denied In his opinion, health is important element for the development of a society. Brooks worked for the health uplift in the city. TRAUMA CENTRE: Federal government not provides enough basic facilities for every citizen. For this Behavior Brooks Company provide funds to city district government of Karachi to established trauma centre in Abbasi Shaheed hospital for the treatment of poor peoples as they afford. For this contribution charges of ventilator per day is 5 rupees as compared to other hospitals which is 15000 rupees per day which is unaffordable for poor to take remedy. This is the great step which no one can do.

CONTRIBUTION IN MEDICAN AND PHARMA INDUSTRY GROWTH: Brooks pharma had made a great progress in pharmaceutical field. They headed different forums and also had various other important offices. With new inventions and innovation multiple and more effective medicines have been introduced to counter various diseases.
