What if my environment/version isn't addressed in this document Environmental configurations not expressly captured in the Compatibility Matrix should be assumed to be unsupported. Requests for clarification may be directed to Oracle Support. What does it mean when a platform is certified? Oracle GRC application is regularly tested on that platform during the development cycle The platform is available within Oracle for support technicians and developers to reproduce problems. Bugs specific to that platform will be given a high priority A certified platform means we know how to get the Oracle GRC application running in that environment, and can troubleshoot Oracle GRC application issues within it. It does not mean we have any particular expertise beyond that. As such, we may not be able to help with customising or tuning that application server or database. Oracle GRC support or development is not a substitute for a good DBA. Q: What does it mean when a platform is supported? Oracle GRC application has not been tested on that platform by Oracle or the platforn is not tested regularly by Oracle Developers and support technicians will be unable to reproduce problems on that platform Bugs specific to that platform will be given a low priority If you are running Oracle GRC application(s) on a supported platform, it means there is a limit to the level of support we can provide. The more an issue looks like it is related to your operating system, application server or database, the more you'll need to work with us to help diagnose and fix the problem. And at some point, if we determine we cannot fix the issue, we may have to ask you to move to a certified platform instead. If you just want something to work, we recommend sticking to what we know works and make sure you choose a certified configuration.
Q: If we write our GRC applications using standards like J2EE, JDBC and SQL, doesn't that mean it should run on any compliant server? The operative word there is should. Oracle GRC applications are complicated applications, and we commonly come across interesting edge-cases, places where servers have interpreted the specificiations differently, and straight-out incompatibilities. Then, of course, each server has its own different collection of bugs.
Q: How can I get Oracle GRC product development to support a new platform? Supporting a new platform involves a significant investment of time by Oracle, both in up-front costs to set up new testing environments and fix any issues we might encounter, and the ongoing costs involved in maintaining the application against this new environment in the future. As such, supporting a new platform is not something we will do unless we know there is significant demand. So let us know you're interested by logging a service request in Metalink. Just keep in mind that your interest alone will not be enough to convince us to add support for your application server or database: we'd need to see a significant level of interest by multiple customers.
Q: My organization has standardized on an operating environment that Oracle GRC does not certify. What can I do? Ultimately, two options exist: 1. Run Oracle GRC application(s) in the supported environment, with all the caveats mentioned above 2. Make an exception to your standard environment
By all means let us know if your preferred environment is not certified, but keep in mind that certification, if undertaken, is a lengthy process, so your near term options are those listed in this document.

Change Reference 1. Removed 11gR1 db restriction from GRCC tabs (requires a separate tab for 8.2/8.5 and 7.2/7.3 as this only applies to 8.5/7.3) 2. Updated Database Server section for each platform tab with reference to supported operating systems (OEL, RHL, SS) that match the application servers 3. Updated Overview tab by adding new first question regarding general coverage disclaimer 4. Updated Application Server section of matrix with footnote "Updates and Service Packs later than the ones listed in this section, within the same major release version, are supported but not certified." 5. TCG 7.3 EBS tab added back 11.5.9 as "Supported" (note, there is no content for this however) 6. Added to matrix under DB that RAC is not supported 7. Added hardware tab 8. Updated Db section of matrix tab to replace last 2 digits of releases with "x"
1. updated CCG in GRC Support Suite Matrix, added C for 12.1 and S for 12.04 and S for 10gR2 64- bit and 11gR2 -64 bit 2. updated certification for 12.1 in CCG 5.x & EBS Support sheet 1. GRC Suite Support Notes : Added " GRCI 2.0 is certified on OBI SE1, also, which is available for Windows Operating System only." 2. Inserted columns for GRCI 1.0.1 and GRCI 2.0.1 3. Inserted rows for OBI EE 10.1.3.3.3 and 10.1.3.3.4 1. GRC Support Notes : Access Manger integration is supported only for AACG source not for GRCM. 2. GRC Suite Support Notes : Added For 10gR2, a patch 10.2.04 or higher is required for GRCI releases. 3. Added Hardware Requirements for GRCI 4. Updated 9i , 10G , 11G Database Server Support in the GRC Suite Support Matrix.
