Members Spotlight: Lithuanian Pharmaceutical Students Association and Training

The International Pharmaceutical Students Federation (IPSF) and the Lithuanian Pharmaceutical Students' Association (LtPSA) are pleased to announce to all IPSF members what is happening with Leaders in Training (LIT) and the activities of LtPSA. LtPSA is the gracious host for Quatrino, which will take place from the 27th of September to the 4th of October. Along with European Pharmaceutical Students Association (EPSA), which is the main event organizer, Istanbul University Pharmaceutical Students' Association, Malta Pharmaceutical Students Association and Croatian Pharmacy and Medical Biochemistry Students Association, LtPSA aims to make Quatrino a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate the vitality and skills of pharmacy youths. During this project each country will present the topic of stress and depression levels in their countries and share the experience how to manage these problems. The project is sponsored by European Union programme "Youth in Action". LtPSA, as the host of this years Quatrino, is willing to make this project unforgettable to all four countries and to organise it with the highest quality possible. During the project pharmaceutical students will have the opportunity to attend various trainings and workshops, to experience cultural differences between each country, to explore the most beautiful places of Lithuania. The participants of Quatrino will also organise the Campaign Against Stress and Depression in the host city Kaunas, Lithuania. LtPSA is pleased that IPSF and EPSA trainers will be present during this project and represent the most important organisations of pharmaceutical students. To showcase the opportunities of training and where it can take you, Zoi-Maria Glarou, who participated in IPSFs LIT during the 57th World Congress in Hat Yai, Thailand during the summer of 2011, and is now trainer, will be attending Quatrino. LIT is a training programme to help individuals who are interested to become trainers themselves; participants have the opportunity to immerse themselves through

workshops and activities on such topics such as communication skills, project management, and leadership during LIT. As a trainer, Zoi-Maria, will be there to offer two training session regarding Youth against Stress and Depression, the theme of this years Quatrino. Both IPSF and LtPSA are excited to share with you this news and hope it will be an inspiration to all pharmacy students worldwide. Vive la Pharmacie! The International Pharmaceutical Students Federation was founded in 1949 by eight pharmacy student associations in London. The Federation now represents around 350,000 pharmacy students and recent graduates in 70 countries worldwide. IPSF is a non-governmental, non-political, and non-religious organisation and is the leading international advocacy organisation of pharmacy students promoting improved public health through provision of information, education, networking, and a range of publication and professional activities.
