Psalm 95:1-7 Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, And the great King above all gods. In His hand are the deep places of the earth; The heights of the hills are His also. The sea is His, for He made it; And His hands formed the dry land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, the sheep of His hand. Psalm 95 (NKJV) Narrators: Rueven Doron (Hebrew), David Davis (English). Hannah Szenes Hannah Szenes (spelled phonetically as Senesh) was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1921. As a young teenager facing rising anti-Jewish activity in Hungary, Hannah became a Zionist and began to long to go to the Jewish Homeland. Just after her 18th birthday she immigrated to the Land (now the Nation of Israel). Upon her arrival, she fell upon the sand at the seashore of Caesarea and afterward wrote this beautiful prayer of hope, ELI ,ELI (MY GOD,MY GOD). Hannah joined the Jewish Brigade to help rescue European Jewry during the war. Her only crime in life was that she saved little Jewish children from going to the gas chambers of Auschwitz. On her last mission she parachuted into Europe and was captured by the Nazis. She was sentenced to death for treason and executed by firing squad; she refused the blindfold, staring squarely into the eyes of her executioners at her death in 1944. Through the horrific suffering, pain and death inflicted upon 6 million Jews, victims of the Holocaust, along with Hannah Senesh and many others in World War II, Israel was reborn and became a Nation in 1948. May Hannah Seneshs short life be an inspiration to you as it has been to millions since her death in 1944. May this song of hope, inspired by the Covenant Promises to Abraham, based on Genesis 22:17, encourage you to walk by faith as Abraham walked, trusting in ELOHIM, the Sovereign God of the Universe, no matter what trials you may face in life.

How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you, were not willing! See!
