Information Technology
Perhaps no other science has ever
brought about such sweeping changes
in the course of human development as
Information Technology (IT). Its awesome
power and incredible capabilities have
made the concept of a ‘global village’
which was once considered a far-fetched
dream, into a practical reality.
IT has brought about a dramatic
transformation in our lives, both
professional and personal. Sectors such
as Business, Industry, Communication,
Defence, Education, Entertainment,

tremendous impact. IT has become a
yardstick to measure the progress of
nations, societies and individuals.
India has all the earmarks of emerging
as a global Information Technology
Superpower in the near future. It has
already grabbed the world’s attention
with the quality of its enormous pool of
talented software professionals. A number
of prominent organizations across
USA and Europe have discovered the
advantages of outsourcing service lines to
offshore locations in India.
The statistics are quite impressive. Exports
last year increased nearly 30% to touch
$10 billion and are estimated to reach a
whopping $50 billion by 2008! While in
two decades, the nation’s GDP is expected
to double, the software industry’s
contribution is expected to increase at
least 10 fold.
Education Methodology
A d m i s s i o n Po l i c i e s
Completely filled in application, along with
relevant enclosures, should be submitted to
the learning centres within the due date. If the
Institute is satisfied of the applicant’s eligibility
and suitability, he/she will be granted
admission to the program. No student is
permitted to pursue more than one course
at a time. The right to accept or reject any
application is at the Institute’s discretion.
In case of applications not complete in
any respect, those students may be given
provisional enrollment at the Institute’s
discretion. They will have to submit the
required certificates /mark sheets within
three months. Upon receipt of which their
enrollment shall be confirmed. Students will
be allowed to appear in the examinations only
after their enrollment is confirmed.
All students will be provided the program
guide for each course or semester, which has
to be read thoroughly.
An identity card will be provided to the
students after their enrollment.
Students, who are unable to complete the
program within the specified validity period,
are required to register de novo by paying the
requisite fee.
Cour se Structure
And eminently qualified team, drawn form
Industry, University and in-house faculty,
designs the course materials. The curriculum
is drawn-up and scrutinized by experts,
supervised by instructors and only then
adopted.
Support Services
Counselling Sessions: learning centres
have been set up, which provide students
a platform to interact with the counselors,
with other students and also use the library.
Students will get personal attention and
support at these centres. Including hands-on
training at designated training centres. These
centres shall provide counseling and hands-on
experience for each program (each Semester)
as indicated in respective course headings.
Written Material: Comprehensive printed
study material, specially designed for
independent study for both theory and
practical, is supplied in batches to the
learning centres. For every course. For each
student. Students have to collect the material
pertaining to the course along with the
program guide.

Online delivery through VSAT, wherever
required.
Credit System
The ‘credit system’ is followed in all courses,
wherein each credit amounts to 30 hours of
study.
