From the generosity of 173 donors, we have received $54,791 in cash & an additional $26,675 in pledges. We have reached 74% of our goal and hope to reach 100% by October 9th, the Feast of St. Denis.

FAITH FORMATION
Preparation for Sacrament of Baptism: Your family must be registered active members St. Dennis. Baptismal Prep Mtgs. are divided into two meetings, 4 weeks apart on Saturdays, 9 -10:30 am. Parents and Godparents are required to attend both classes before a date is set. The dates are: Oct 15th & Nov 19th, No Dec class. For more info, call the Parish Office at 815-838-2592, ext. 123. At least one Godparent must be a confirmed Catholic, active in their faitha letter of permission is required from their church.

Generations of Faith: (GOF) A program designed for all ages. Gather with us, share a meal, pray, and grow closer to God. The 2011-2012 seasons theme is The Creed. Join us as we prayerfully reflect on the Creed and the basic tenets of our Catholic Faith. Oct. Event: I Believe in God: Wed., Oct. 12th, 58 pm, Fri., Oct.14th 6-9 pm, Sun., Oct. 16th, 12:30- 3:30 pm. Call the parish office to register or go to www.saint-dennis.org. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) A program for children 3-6 years based on Maria Montessori. Sessions are Mon. 4:30-6, Wed. 6-7:30 or Sun. 9:15-10:45 or 5:156:45. Call Jackie Bedore in the parish office or jbedore@saint-dennis.org for more information. Home Grown Faith (HGF) A parent led, home based program for children. Parents meet monthly with staff to review materials and engage in discussions. Parents work with their children in own their home. First Reconciliation, Eucharist, & Confirmation The first parent meeting for First Reconciliation & Eucharist prep. is Wed., Dec. 14th in church. St. Dennis Rosary Ministry Rosaries for Healing


Our next sale at St Dennis will be on October 22 & 23. There will be many new items , such as watches, scriptural bracelets and bangles. If you would like an inspirational gift for a friend or loved one please call anytime, we would be happy to help you. Do you have old rosaries, chaplets, beads you no longer wear? Do you have old Holy Medals? We are in need of all types of beads and Holy Medals. The beads are used to make rosaries for those beginning their journey to wholeness through healing prayer, as well as to encourage people to pray the rosary. Holy Medals are repurposed and provide another avenue of prayer. If you would like to donate beads, medals, or rosaries, please place them in the basket on the table in narthex or call Kim 815 838-8407 or Mary 815 838-2592 for more info. We also repair rosaries at no charge.

I am so thankful for the hundreds of parishioners who work so tirelessly in sharing their talents and gifts in serving St. Dennis Parish. Individuals who donate to the United Way can direct their funds for any 501(c)(3) public charity of their choice, including St. Dennis, during their companys employee giving campaign! The good news is St. Dennis School is already included in the United Way system. (ID 13884 EIN 362170159) We hope you will consider designating funds directly to St. Dennis School along with other organizations and not into the UnitedWay general fund. Questions?
