From the Desk of The Editor Excellence and Growth in Academics

I have seen many good college in Jaipur and have studied in them also, but the level of commitment that I find in the teachers in Podar College is unparallel and I really feel satisfied that I have shifted to this college from Jaipur. Manasvi (a student from BA III, who has earlier studied in some Colleges in Jaipur). When I joined this college, I didnt understand anything for the first 15 days, as I was from Hindi medium. The teachers guided me and encouraged me. I put in hard work and finally I was able to score above 76% marks, just due to motivation, inspiration and encouragement provided by the faculty members in Podar College. Aditya (Aditya Got I rank in the Rajasthan University in MSC (Physics). The above statements are only a few of the feedbacks that we are receiving frequently from the students and alumni. These feedback reinforce our commitment to teaching and quality. The mission statement of Podar College asserts its commitment to Excellence and Growth. PLACEMENT FOR BCOM / BSC After NBC, it is the JSW Steels. JSW Steels is coming to Podar College for recruitment of B.Com and BSC graduates. The company will offer a package close to Rs. 2 lakhs p.a. + Accommodation. Interested students / alumni can contact us for participating in the placements. The written test and interviews will take place on 11/10/11 in the Podar College itself. The interested students should get themselves registered by 10/10/11. SAHAS 2011The Presentation Challenge BBA students organized and participated in SAHAS 2011. It was a presentation contests. The students presented their papers on topics like 1. inflation 2. international marketing 3. marketing mix etc The students were trained and guided by Mr. Ashish Kumar Soni in the art of presentations and communications. The contest was organized primarily to enable the BBA students to polish their presentation skills. The contest was successful in its objectives because at the end of the contests the participants realized that they can improve their presentations and they learned the tips for better presentations. language without having to have knowledge of the key board of that language. This software has been designed by CDAC. This software is available with us for free installation in any academic institution. Selection in Republic Day Parade Mr. Leeladhar, an NCC cadet with our college has been selected for Republic Day Parade. We congratulate him. Fresher Party Students of final year are busy in welcoming their juniors. They are extending warm welcome to their juniors through Fresher party. Students of PIMS will be organizing Fresher party on 03/10/11, while students of Physics, English, Geography and Zoology have already organized it. The executive director Sri R.C. Sharma encouraged the students to develop their communication skill & IT skill while inaugurating the fresher party in the department of Zoology. He encouraged the geography department to incorporate latest technology in the geography lab, while inaugurating the Geography department. FDP in podar college An FDP Titled Teachers as Transformers was organized in the podar college for the faculty members of the college. Dr. T.K. Jain spoke on the art of teaching and the role and responsibilities of teachers. Librarian Mr. Dilip K. Nain imparted training in inflibnet and online library system. Sri R.C. Sharma organized a discussion on learning and development.
