Inability to touch and feel merchandise. Majority of the population is not aware of ecommerce and computer based technologies. Some online stores does not guide the customer clearly. Hacker may intercept money transaction. In a developing nation the use of internet is not known largely to woman and elder persons.

From the Indian context, internet is not widely available at present. Customer are wary of giving their credit card numbers to vendors who have only a web presence. EDI standards have to be in place before B2B ecommerce increases. E-Commerce will depersonalize transaction. Denial of service to legitimate customer. Portal have to be protected from virus attack by special security system.
