Installation (TICM)
ADAPT01379974 Incomplete patch installation occurs when full and patch build (silent) installations are performed using a batch file
Perform the following steps to resolve the problem: 1. Install the following Windows utilities and set the environment variables: * Download the Windows Resource tool kit, which contains the sleep.exe binary, from the following location: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?DisplayLang=en&FamilyID=9d467a69-57ff-4ae7-96eeb18c4790cffd * Download the PSTools package, which contains the pslist.exe binary, from the following location: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896649.aspx 2. Set the PATH and ensure that sleep.exe and pslist.exe commands can be run from any location. 3. Open Notepad, paste the below contents, and save the file as enable.reg. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager] "PendingFileRenameOperations"="" 4. Double click enable.reg file. This will add appropriate registry keys to registry. 5. Create a batch file in the format <Name>.bat with the following content: echo off set PATH=%PATH%;C:\!\auto;C:\! @echo ON Comment: user needs to repeat the below steps for as many products as they want REM RTM Installation echo "Start Installation" >> C:\!\test.log Start /wait C:\!\LO\setup.exe /qb -r inst.ini pslist -x setup >> C:\x.log @echo OFF :RTM pslist -x setup >> C:\!\x.log echo %ERRORLEVEL% >> C:\!\test.log if "%ERRORLEVEL%" == "0" GOTO RTM Comment: User needs to repeat the below section for as many LPs as they want for each product loop :RTMLP1 pslist -x setup >> C:\!\x.log echo %ERRORLEVEL% >> C:\!\test.log if "%ERRORLEVEL%" == "0" GOTO RTMLP1 sleep 60 @echo ON echo "RTM Completed" >> C:\!\test.log regedit.exe /s enable.reg 6. Update/Modify the "<Name>.bat file with the respective response file paths. 7. Create individual response files for every product/patch since the response files are different in each release. 8. For a .msp supported patch, if you are installing multiple language packs, then there should be an equivalent number of loops in the batch file. 9. In the Command Prompt window, navigate to the folder where the batch file is copied, and run the batch file by typing start.bat.

ADAPT01501932 Resolving installation issues for SAP Integration solution

When the SAP integration solution is installed an error may occur if the "Client" install option is selected. The installation is unable to proceed because neither Crystal Reports 2008 nor Universe Designer were detected. To perform a Client installation, please install either Crystal Reports 2008 or Universe Designer This issue will not be fixed in the XI 3.1 SP4 release because there is no full installer for both the BusinessObjects Enterprise client or the SAP integration solution. As a work around, when installing the SAP integration solution, select the "Custom" install option and choose the required components.

ADAPT01511489 Installing PeopleSoft Integration SP4 update on Unix.

Users installing the UNIX version of the PeopleSoft SP4 update may see an error message regarding the partnercafuninstall.sh. It is safe to ignore this message and continue with the update.

ADAPT01528149 End of Life of BusinessObjects Performance Manager and BusinessObjects Predictive Analysis
Business Objects announced the planned End of Life of BusinessObjects Performance Manager and BusinessObjects Predictive Analysis in 2008, and that Patch support for these products ends in March 2011. Therefore no further enhancements will be considered for these products and no further errors will be corrected in future fix packs and service packs. However, technical support will continue to be available for these products through the normal channels until March 2012 on the BusinessObjects Enterprise Service Pack 3 code-level. As a result of this change: Predictive Analysis functionality has been removed from BusinessObjects Enterprise Service Pack 4 onwards. If the Predictive Server has been previously installed, the server will remain in a running state, even though its functionality has been deactivated. If predictive rights have been assigned, applying the SP4 patch will render the rights as Unknown Rights.

Security
ADAPT01397417 Remapping modified WinAD group domains
If a WinAD group is moved to a different domain after being mapped to BOE, then that group must be unmapped in BOE and then remapped before a WinAD update is performed. If this is not done the users of the group may lose their folders and contents on the next WinAD update.

ADAPT01483232 Performance management analytics in XI 3.1 cannot be displayed in Internet Explorer when running in SSL (HTTPS)
When a user attempts to run performance management analytics (created by SAP BusinessObjects Dashboard Builder or SAP BusinessObjects Performance Manager) in Secure Socket Layer (SSL) environment using Internet Explorer (IE) in some servers, for example Tomcat, the analytics fail to be displayed. This problem occurs because by default HTTPS response headers use the no-cache setting, which is one of the settings that cause Internet Explorer to fail. To workaround this problem, you need to configure the server to use a setting other than the default settings. For example, in case of Tomcat server, you can configure the PerformanceManagement.xml file located under Tomcat55\conf\Catalina\localhost, by adding a certain value to the context. You can also choose any one of the following suggestions to resolve this issue: 1. <Context path="/myapp" docBase="myapp"> <Valve className="org.apache.catalina.authenticator.FormAuthenticator" disableProxyCaching="false" /> </Context> This option works but reduces security, as it does not allow no- cache control headers to be issued. 2. <Context path="/myapp" docBase="myapp"> <Valve className="org.apache.catalina.authenticator.FormAuthenticator" securePagesWithPragma="false" /> </Context> This configuration causes a header <Cache-Control: private> to be issued in place of the default <CacheControl: none> and <Pragma: no-cache> headers. This suggests shared caches not to cache the response, while still allowing downloads to work in IE. 3. <Context path="/myapp" docBase="myapp"> <Valve className="org.apache.catalina.authenticator.BasicAuthenticator" disableProxyCaching="false" /> </Context>

7/29

ADAPT01487377 Hidding session tokens from URL parameters

There is a new configuration option in the web.xml of BusinessObjectsPortlets.war called "Hide DocumentUrl Parameters". This parameter needs to be set to true if the administrator does not want the session token parameter to present in the user's browser history.

8/29

Enterprise Deployment (TICM)

ADAPT01469302 Enabling cookie based session affinity
Use the instructions below to enable SAP BusinessObjects Web Services to operate in a load-balanced environment that uses cookie-based session affinity. 1. Access the web.xml for dswsbobje on the machine hosting the web application server. 2, Edit web.xml of the Web Services application to contain the following: <!-- filter to generate JSESSIONID --> <filter> <filter-name>Session ID Generation Filter</filter-name> <description>To inject JSESSIONID to requests</description> <filter-class>com.businessobjects.dsws.wsc.common.http.GenerateSessionIDFilter</filter-class> </filter> <filter-mapping> <filter-name>Session ID Generation Filter</filter-name> <url-pattern>/services/*</url-pattern> </filter-mapping>

ADAPT01513572 Web Intelligence Rich Client: New option added to Web Service Publication wizard 'Share report content for all consumers'
New option added to Web Service Publication wizard in WebI Rich Client. A check-box labelled 'Share report content for all consumers' has been added to "Define published content" step of Web Service Publisher wizard. Option allows all web service consumers get the report block content from the same (and single) instance of document. When enabled, this option is intended to reduce memory load on the WebI Processing server, and should be used when content is to be consumed by several concurrent users, and content security is not critical. Technically, the document is opened by the first consumer sending a request for it, and then consumed by any consumer invoking same request thereafter "on behalf" of first user (i.e. implementing his permissions). Document security cannot therefore be applied with web service calls designed with this options. To avoid any conflicts and inconsistencies, all consumers should be granted the permission to open the corresponding document and refresh it. Option can be enabled on existing BI Services, by simple edition, without requiring to update web service consumers (URL invoke does not change). When option is enabled, report filters and drill cannot be used by consumers.

9/29

Performance
ADAPT01499720 WebI Rich Client BI Service management optimization
Web Intelligence Rich Client BI Service management optimization intended at reducing memory consumption by an estimated 66%. Test benches comprising 10 BI Services containing 100 blocks each show that Web Intelligence Rich Client Web Service Publisher uses only 32.6% of the the initial required memory without the fix. Memory utilization grows slowly after several refreshes, but tests illustrated it does not go beyond 400Mb. Web Intelligence Rich Client web service publisher has only been tested to accommodate up to 1000 published blocks.

ADAPT01532418 Interpolation function now has consistent behavior

This fix makes the behavior of the function interpolation consistant: it processes the data set limited to the current context : table or section, and never goes out of this context. Previously, in specific circumstances, the function retrieved data out of the context.

10/29

Functional Correctness
ADAPT00769920 The Autofit Height and Autofit Width limit
In Web Intelligence, the Autofit Height and Autofit Width properties do not work when the Read Cell Content As property is set to HTML. This is by design.

ADAPT01176929 Modifying the Shared Webpart properties

In Web Intelligence, when a user attempts to modify the Shared WebPart properties that is opened in the Edit mode of Analytical Reporting Webpart, the SAP BusinessObjects Java Report Panel displays an error. To workaround this issue, users need to modify the Shared Webpart properties by first editing the page and then modifying the Webpart properties.

ADAPT01220531 Deprecated Web Intelligence server parameter "Maximum number of documents in Cache"
In Web Intelligence Processing server properties in the Central Management Console (CMC), the parameter "Maximum number of documents in Cache" is deprecated. It is still available in the CMC to support servers created in older version of BOE.

ADAPT01246327 Web Intelligence Report Server processing with JDBC connections on HP Itanium
To make JDBC connections work on HP Itanium, the Memory Upper Threshold of the Web Intelligence Report Server (WIReportServer) must be increased from 1500 to 1800 in the CMC Servers page.

ADAPT01260951 Polestar Information Spaces type is displayed as DataDiscovery instead of "Information Space"
Polestar Information Spaces type is displayed as DataDiscovery instead of "Information Space" to keep it consistent with thetitle used in the Add Objects screen of the LCM application.

11/29

ADAPT01339738 The Close button in a Web Intelligence report is not supported when located inside a dashboard
In a Web Intelligence report, the close button does not work when Web Intelligence is located under a dashboard. It works only when it is located directly under InfoView. If Hyperlink is needed in a Web Intelligence report and the report is under a Dashboard, the suggested workflow is to configure a Hyperlink to open in a new window, instead of the current window.

ADAPT01350811 Analytics added to a new compound analytic are not displayed properly in Firefox 3.5
When users create a compound analytic in Firefox 3.5, the content of the analytics added to the compound analytic is not displayed properly. However, when you save the compound analytic and add it to a dashboard, the content of the analytics is displayed properly. Editing an already saved compound analytic should work fine. Workaround: Drop all needed modules and then save & edit the compound analytic. Or create the compound analytic using a Internet Explorer or Safari.

ADAPT01367293 Universe Designer: No error message is displayed when an incorrect value is entered for the connection settings
This is not an issue. all the controls are working as expected. The min and max acceptable values for Pool TimeOut are 1 and 60000 respectively. The min and max acceptable values for Array Fetch Size are 1 and 1000 respectively. The min and max acceptable values for Array Bind Size are 1 and 32767 respectively. The min and max acceptable values for Login timeOut are 1 and 1000 respectively.

ADAPT01372156 The Close button in a Web Intelligence report is not supported when located inside a dashboard

12/29

ADAPT01373341 CMS name not displayed in the System Name field on the LCM home page in a distributed install setup.
On the LCM home page, the tomcat system name is displayed instead of the CMS name in the System Name field in a distributed install setup. You can work around this issue for web tire installation as follows : 1. Open the web.xml file from the location C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat55\webapps\LCM\WEBINF and modify the cms.default value to the CMC host name.CMc host name refers to the name of the machine where CMC is installed or the name of Box 1. For example, if the current xml tag is : <context-param> <param-name>cms.default</param-name> <param-value>bng-lcm-box3</param-value> </context-param>, Iit can be modified as : <context-param> <param-name>cms.default</param-name> <param-value>bng-lcm-box1</param-value> </context-param> 2. Restart the tomcat server and then launch the LCM application. The CMS name will now be displayed on the home page.

ADAPT01378698 Unable to promote Encyclopedia objects created using feature Samples crystal report to destination
Encyclopedia objects created using feature Samples crystal report are not promoted to destination. The Feature Samples folder containing crystal report objects is created by default during installation and they possess different CUIDs on different CMSs due to which promotion fails. It is recommended not to promote these objects.

13/29

ADAPT01380744 Date format of the openDocument date parameter dynamically changes when it is passed to a child report
Within Infoview, using certain functions will allow Web Intelligence to dynamically change the date format of the openDocument date parameter when it is passed to a child report. However, outside Infoview, the format will always be exactly as it is in the openDoc link, causing errors if the locale does not match. This is now possible by using the Date() function on the date object in the Web Intelligence (child) report. For Example, create a variable for the date object using the Date() function to generate the output: ="Date("+FormatNumber(Year([Date Object]);"d")+","+MonthNumberOfYear([Date Object]) +","+DayNumberOfMonth([Date Object])+")" This will allow Web Intelligence to interpret the date format dynamically.

ADAPT01406299 Correcting scheduling out of memory errors

"OutOfMemoryError" error messages sometimes display when Java program objects fail to schedule. It is possible correct the error by increasing the heap size. When scheduling the Java program, enter the desired heap size in the "JVM arguments" text field, found in the "Program Parameters" section of the Scheduling tab. Note: setting this field is optional, and should only be used to correct errors. If there are no problems then the "JVM arguments" field should be left blank.

ADAPT01411966 New memory thresholds for Web Intelligence servers on HPUX IA64
The memory thresholds of the Web Intelligence server on HPUX IA64 is increased to enable servers to use more than 2 GB memory. Servers created after the upgrade will have the new thresholds but those created on older version will still have the old thresholds even after upgrading to SP4.

ADAPT01418446 Multiple context data not displayed in the InfoView Deski

Deski report in the infoview displays results with single context data when the report is generated in the deski full-client by selecting multiple contexts. To work around this issue, refresh and re-export the report after the XI 3.1 SP4 installation to display the complete contextual information.

14/29

ADAPT01439878 Web Intelligence Web Service Publisher does not support Universe prompts
Web Intelligence Web Service Publisher does not support Universe prompts. BI Service consumers cannot set values for universe prompts. Query prompts are the only prompts available with the web service designer wizard to be exposed into BI Service WSDL. This is by design.

ADAPT01440064 Web Intelligence Rich Client prompt limitation for the 'no_value' setting when using openDocument (URL Reporting)
When using the Web Intelligence DHTML client with openDocument (URL Reporting), no_value is taken literally. This is a product limitation. To workaround this, leave the prompt out of the URL or leave the value empty: ex: &lsS[OptionalPrompt]=

ADAPT01443920 Granting requisite authorization for running and designing BW BeX queries
When creating a report from a universe based on a BW BeX query, if a date dimension is included, a database error message is displayed. To avoid this error, the system administrator needs to grant S_RS_IOBJ authorization to both the user designing the Universe and the user running the report.

ADAPT01449881 Extra row or column is displayed when exporting Web Intelligence documents to MS Excel
While exporting Web Intelligence documents to MS Excel, an extra row or column is displayed after the table, to compensate for margins. Follow these steps to resolve the issue: 1. Open the caching_media_profiles.xml located in <BOBJInstallDir>\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\config\bobjserver folder for Windows and <BOBJInstallDir>/enterprise120/aix_rs6000/config/bobjserver location for Unix. 2. Locate the section "<!-- For Excel -->" and uncomment the lines for each section: "<PROPERTY NAME="mode.normal.right.extra.margin">0</PROPERTY>" and "<PROPERTY NAME="mode.normal.bottom.extra.margin">0</PROPERTY>" for Excel outputs. 3. Choose a value for extra margin or set it to 0 to remove the blank rows. Restart the Web Intelligence Processing and Application servers. Also, clear Web Intelligence and browser cache to ensure that the changes are reflected.

15/29

ADAPT01462897 Universe Builder Oracle Olap Plug-in cannot connect to Oracle 11G cubes
Currently, you cannot connect to an Oracle 11G cube from an Oracle 11G server. You can, however, connect to an Oracle 10G cube.

Universe Builder: Restrictions when migrating Oracle 10G cubes to 11G.

1.The Bridge will not support existing built in views in 11g, only the views generated by the Bridge on 11g will be supported 2.Migration of views from 10g to 11g is not supported by oracle, therefore the Bridge will not support 10g views created by the Bridge on 10g version 3.The length of some object names is limited in 11g to 30 chars, this limit did not exist in 10g). In some cases, due to this limitation, some existing object names migrated from 10g might be truncated and might not work in the universe.

ADAPT01489537 Universe Designer: When refreshing customized Select statements using MDX definitions, they are reset
A new option has been added to the refresh structure wizard called "Keep MDX definitions of objects". It applies to "Select" statement, "Where clause" of objects as well as filters. It is unchecked by default meaning that the customization made won't be kept. You have to explicitly enable it to keep all the changes you've made to the statements. The option has no effect on filters generated for Hierachy, Hierarchy node variables that doesn't have index awareness enabled as refresh structure process will recreate those filters to automatically enable it.

16/29

ADAPT01489597 Web Intelligence report when saved to CSV and opened in notepad shows extra double quotes
When a Web Intelligence report is saved to CSV and the saved file is opened in a notepad, the data is enclosed either in double quotes or single quotes. To resolve this issue, users need to modify the file on the server by performing the following steps: Here is an example with Tomcat: %INSTALLDIR%\BusinessObjects12\Tomcat55\webapps\AnalyticalReporting\WEB-INF\classes \webiviewer.properties The Webiviewer.properties lists all the characters used as Column separator. 1. On this file, Edit the following line: CSV_CharDelimiter= 2. Add two spaces at the end of the line. 3. Save and restart your App server (here Tomcat). The character list is updated and offers the space at the end of the drop down list.

ADAPT01491498 NullPointer errors in clustered WebLogic deployments

NullPointer errors may be encountered in either Infoview or CMC on the "Document List" pages when the web tier is hosted in a clustered WebLogic environment. To resolve this issue: 1. Uncomment the context-param tag with param-name "weblogic.session.IDLength" in the following files: WEB-INF/web.xml file in CmcApp.war, CmcAppActions.war, InfoViewAppActions.war, and PlatformServices.war. 2. Repackage and redeploy the war files.

ADAPT01495622 Parameterized queries fail for Sybase15.5 CTL BigDatetime datatype

The Data Access layer does not support the new datatypes BigDateTime and BigTime introduced in Sybase ASE 15.5.

17/29

ADAPT01496527 Universe classes disappear while creating a Web Intelligence document

After translating Universes and linking them, some classes are not displayed when creating or editing Web Intelligence or Desktop Intelligence reports that are based on these linked Universes depending on the specified Infoview viewing preference locale. However, if you change the locale to the original language of the Universe, the Web Intelligence and Destop Intelligence report displys these classes. This is because the Universes have some classes that are translated to the same name. Translation Manager is not aware of links and therefore does not rename the classes automatically as Designer does. Classes must have unique names. To resolve this issue, rename the classes at the Universe level or in the translation.

ADAPT01496847 Viewing Excel 2010 documents from InfoView using Internet Explorer 7
Using Internet Explorer 7,after viewing Excel 2010 documents from InfoView leads to errors when performing subsequent actions. This is by design. Use any of the following workarounds: 1) Use a different browser, such as Internet Explorer 8 or FireFox. 2) In the InfoView preferences, set the options: Document Viewing->"In a single full screen browser window, one document at a time" or "In multiple fullscreen browser windows, one window for each document".

ADAPT01500125 Known limitation deploying PeopleSoft Integration Solution authorization on Tomcat 6

There is known limitation in PeopleSoft Integration Kit to have error message when you try to deploy PeopleSoft authorization on SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise with Tomcat 6 as the web application server. This limitation is due to a known Java 6 bug: http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6434149. To work around this issue, you need to add -Dsun.lang.ClassLoader.allowArraySyntax=true to the JVM options.

ADAPT01500592 Opening Microsoft Word documents from Sharepoint integration

When viewing Microsoft Word documents from the intergration option for Microsoft Sharepoint, the documents should open in Microsoft word. If you encounter difficulties opening Microsoft Word 2007 documents, please refer SAP Note 1555054.

18/29

ADAPT01503059 Test connection fails for HANA JDBC connection in Universe Designer
The issue occurs because HANA suppports Java run time 1.4 and 1.6. The jvm entry used by connection server is jre 1.5. As a workaround, change the value in the registry entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\default\Shared\ConnectionServer \Configuration\JVM Library from C:\Program Files\Business Objects\javasdk\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll to C:\Program Files\Business Objects\javasdk\jre6\bin\client\jvm.dll

ADAPT01508307 Manual change required for deploying Integration for SAP solution on SAP NetWeaver 7.3
When deploying the SAP BusinessObjects Integration for SAP Solutions on the SAP netweaver 7.3 web application server, you need to mannualy delete "$" from the web.xml file typically installed in: <BOE_INSTALLDIR>\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\warfiles\WebApps\SAP\WEB-IN. After the file is modified, repackage the SAP.war file and redeploy.

ADAPT01509318 Web Intelligence Report Server processing with JDBC connections on HP Itanium
To make JDBC connections work on HP Itanium, the Memory Upper Threshold of the Web Intelligence Report Server (WIReportServer) must be increased from 1500 to 1800 in the CMC Servers page.

ADAPT01512628 Workaround required for supporting BW Query driver on NetWeaver7.3

The current release supports NetWeaver BW7.30, an error may occur when trying to create connection from BW7.30 server using BW Query driver. This is caused by a BAPI function that is disabled in Netweaver BW7.30. To enable the BAPI function please refer to SAP Note: 1553596.

ADAPT01517315 Parameterized queries fail with Sybase database

In some instances, parameterized queries fail when using the Sybase IQ15.1 database. The queries fail when using the datatype char[n] where n>=255. To work around these issue, it is recommended that you use the Sybase IQ 15.2 database.

19/29

ADAPT01520137 Correcting InfoView logon errors on WebLogic

If a ClassCastException ("weblogic.servlet.jsp.CompilationException: Failed to compile JSP /jsp/Shared_Logon/logon.jsp logon.jsp:1:1:") error is displayed when logging on to InfoView hosted on WebLogic 10.3.3, the problem can be corrected by the following steps: 1. Delete the "xercesImpl-noservices.jar and xercesImpl.jar from the WEB_INF/lib directory of the PlatformServices application (by default found in INSTALLROOT/enterprise120/warfiles/WebApps/ PlatformServices/WEB-INF/lib) 2. Re-deploy the application using Wdeploy.

ADAPT01533828 Error while creating an alerter on cell content

While creating an alerter on cell content, the application displays a message "This Alerter has been created using stripped objects. It may not work as expected". However, the created alerter works fine.

ADAPT01536333 Unable to import JD Edwards roles

When importing roles through the JD Edwards authentication plug-in, the following error may occur: Cannot connect to domain XXXXXXXXXXXXX.Cannot connect to domain. Please make sure the user and password information are correct and the domain server is on. To workaround this issue: 1.Specify the user name and password in the server tab of the "JD Edwards authentication" page in the CMC. 2.Click "Update" (the page will refresh and the password entry will be blank but the CMS will be updated). 3.Re-enter in the password but do not click "Update". 4.Navigate to the "Roles" tab and import in the roles.

ADAPT01543327 Xcelsius: alert icons are not displayed

When using the scorecard component alerting feature, a user binds the scorecard alert value and target, and then saves and reopens the model, but the alert icons are not displayed correctly at design time. The workaround is for the user to switch the alert order and then switch it back. For example, switch the alert order from "High values are good" to "Middle values are good", and then switch the order back.

ADAPT01408722 Integration Solution for SAP must be installed and patched same level as the SAP Business Objects suite core products
If you attempt to install the Integration solution for SAP on a core product deployment that is not consistent or patched at a different level, error messages will be displayed. The Integration solution for SAP is expected to be installed together with the SAP Business Objects suite core products and patched at the same level. Core products include SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise and SAP Crystal Reports.

ADAPT01513138 New web service runtime parameter available

A new web service runtime parameter, closeDocument, is now available. The default value of this parameter is false. When the value is set to true, this parameter forces the source document to be closed once the web service has responded with the requested content. A subsequent incoming request from the same session for this document will re-open the document. This parameter helps in optimizing memory consumption on the server, as consumers can directly control how long documents are actually cached, instead of waiting for the Web Intelligence idle document timeout value to be passed.

ADAPT01525692 The source of the other Data Provider is not changed

In Web Intelligence, if a document is created with two data providers (Queries) based on same source (universe), on changing the source of one of the Data Providers, the source of the other Data Provider is not changed. Limitation: If the report contains a query with a prompt having the option to display the previously selected values and you perform a change source on this query with the new functionality, after changing and executing the query, the report does not display the values that you selected for the first time.

ADAPT01537731 Crystal Reports 2008: BEx Explorer compound variable issues

Usability
ADAPT01339365 Enabling report summaries in SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise
Users who would like to make use the summary info in a report after uploading report to BusinessObjects Enterprise platform may need to take the following steps: 1. Locate the web.xml file for your web application server and open it in a text editor. 2. Add lines below to web.xml: <context-param> <param-name>crystal_on_upload_use_report_title</param-name> <param-value>true</param-value> </context-param> 3. Clear your web application servers work directory. 4. Restart the web application server. Make sure to select the "Use description from report" option before uploading reports. Note: The title displayed in General Properties is still the name of the report file. But the title will be updated to summary info after the report is uploaded to BusinessObjects Enterprise.

ADAPT01365798 Web Intelligence reports fail to load on a corporate dashboard when using Mozilla Firefox 3.0 and above
Using Mozilla Firefox 3.0 and above, users are unable to load Web Intelligence reports on a corporate dashboard. This is because of the Firefox bug #545641: "Firefox cannot render more than 9 embedded frames".

ADAPT01410154 Cancelling login pop-ups while editing and creating Web Intelligence document
In Web Intelligence, when a user attempts to edit and create a Web Intelligence document on Windows 2008 from Integration Option for Microsoft SharePoint, it requires cancelling a number of login pop-ups. To workaround this issue, enable the anonymous access on Internet Information Services 7 (IIS7).

ADAPT01446793 The Disable Automatic Refresh on Open for all documents security right
In Web Intelligence Application Property, a new application property "Check the Disable Automatic Refresh on Open for all documents security right" is added to the Central Management Console. In addition, a new security right "Disable Automatic Refresh on Open for all documents" is added to Web Intelligence Rights. This application property and security right enables you to set Web Intelligence to refresh automatically on opening the document without enabling Refresh on open in the Document Properties. To enable Refresh on Open, you need to do the following settings: 1. In the Web Intelligence Application property, select "Check the Disable Automatic Refresh on Open for all documents security right". 2. To refresh the document on opening, deny the Web Intelligence Application right Disable Automatic Refresh on Open for all documents. If you do not want to refresh the document on opening, grant the Web Intelligence Application right Disable Automatic Refresh on Open for all documents.

ADAPT01450763 Content copied from a WebI report in PDF does not match pasted content displayed on screen

Accessibility
ADAPT01361447 Authorization not applied on LOV hierarchies in Web Intelligence reports when using SSO
A change was made (in SP2_FP8, SP3_FP1, and SP4) due to a potential risk with sharing LOV cache between users when SSO authentication is used to the database. When SSO is used there is row level security at the datasource level that restricts LOV access based on the individual user. If LOV cache is shared between users there is no way to determine what set of LOV a user can see without going back to the datasource. If shared cache is enabled its possible that users could see report parameters that theyre not authorized to use, which is a security issue. To workaround this issue, when row level security is not being used at the datasource a user need to authenticate using a single datasource user hardcoded in the Universe: when defining a connection for that universe instead of enabling BOE credential mapping for that connection. The administrator can specify a common credential to be used for all users to access that datasource.

ADAPT01398804 The calendar picker start day of week starts with Sunday instead of Monday
When a user attempts to refresh a Web Intelligence report in InfoView with Estonian specified as the locale, the calendar picker start day of week starts with Sunday instead of Monday. Localized calendar widget for DHTML depends on the installed language packs installed for the product. To resolve this issue, user must install the Estonian language pack else, the English version is displayed.

ADAPT01445000 Cannot cancel Desktop Intelligence report when refreshed in Infoview

Cancel button does not work for Desktop Intelligence report when refreshed in Infoview. The workaround is to refresh the DeskI reports in the DeskI client tool or convert the DeskI reports to Web Intelligence reports.

ADAPT01464215 Unable to create a Web Intelligence Report from an Excel file which uses the VLOOKUP function
Web Intelligence displays an error when the Excel Data Source file uses VLOOKUP function with an external workbook reference. To workaroun this issue, Web Intelligence will retrieve the cached values present in the Excel Data Source file and display it in the report. To retrieve the VLOOKUP reference values (non-cached, latest) user needs to open this Excel file containing the VLOOKUP function and save it.

ADAPT01477836 Difference between behavior of Desktop Intelligence and Web Intelligence report with respect to default cell format
If you create a cell and put the formula for that cell as =1.10 in a Desktop Intelligence report, then it will always display 1.10 in DeskI document, whereas in Web Intelligence it will truncate the 0 and will display 1.1. This behavior is occuring because by default the Desktop intelligence cell format is 0.00 and that in Web Intelligence is #.##". This behavior can not be changed through the report conversion tool , as it would cause certian regression issues in Web Intelligence.
