ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Fork Lift Driver rate of pay includes an all purpose allowance of 1.5% of the weekly standard rate (cl 21). Weekly standard rate means the minimum weekly rate for a Level 4 - Cook (tradesperson) grade 3. Standard hourly rate means the minimum hourly wage for Level 4 - Cook (tradesperson) grade 3. Refer to Part 7 of the award for industry specific provisions. Forklift drivers receive an additional 1.5% of the standard weekly rate of pay as an all purpose allowance. Managerial Staff Hotels. Refer to clause 27 of the award for information about Annualised Salary Arrangements

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The rate of pay has been calculated on the percentage (see table above) of the Standard Weekly Rate. Weekly standard rate means the minimum weekly rate for a Level 4 Cook (tradesperson) grade 3. An apprentice who has completed their apprenticeship and is qualified tradesperson must be paid at no less than Level 4. Proficiency Payments Cooking Trade and Waiting Trade: Refer clause 20.4(c) of the award for further information.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The junior rate of pay is calculated at a percentage (see table above) of the appropriate adult rate of pay. Where the law permits, junior employees employed as 'liquor service' employees must be paid the adult rate of pay. A liquor service employee is employed to sell or dispense liquor in bars and or bottle departments, cellars and other places where liquor is sold. No employee under 18 years of age will be required to work more than 10 hours in a shift.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Penalties are calculated on the full time rate of pay. A minimum of 4 hours must be paid for full time/ part time employees working on a public holiday. By agreement full time/ part time employees may be paid for a public holiday at 50% loading rather than the penalty plus equivalent time added to annual leave or alternative day provided within 28 days (cl 32.2). Full time/ part time employees working on a Xmas day that falls on a weekend are to be paid 300% for hours worked plus receive a substitute day (cl 32.2). Penalties are not cumulative. Where more than one penalty applies, use the penalty that is most advantageous to the employee (cl 32.4).

Definition of (Cl 4.2) HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY includes hotels; motor inns and motels; boarding establishments; condominiums and establishments of a like nature; health or recreational farms; private hotels, guest houses, serviced apartments; caravan parks; ski lodges; holiday flats or units, ranches or farms; hostels, or any other type of residential or tourist accommodation; wine saloons, wine bars or taverns; liquor booths; resorts; caterers; restaurants operated in or in connection with premises owned or operated by employers otherwise covered by this award; casinos; and function areas and convention or like facilities operating in association with the aforementioned.
