Game Background
The Victis and the Great Reunion
In 2012 a malevolent virus, called by the world The Victis spread with an incredible speed and become pandemic in just two months. We live in the year 2062, fty years had passed since the world shook, and the technology of man was lost. Its now the great time of the Great Reunion when the people of the world is now organized as a single big country that gathers all the survived men and women of the human kind. Although the world would be forever changed, humanity is now free from the shackles of cell phones, electronic organizers and social networks. What was not forsaken was the rush that came from hearing the roar of an engine, and the force of acceleration. The world has awakened to a simpler time, where there are no destinations, only journeys.

The Racing Authority


An organization called the Racing Authority (RA)now brings back the legend of racing by organizing around the world the new racing world championship. Independent race teams and single race drivers from all around the world answered the call of the RA and now competes in the most amazing, diverse, and motley racing championship ever.

Start your journey


Victory offers you the chance to become one the those great race drivers that are competing in the RA Championship. You will start from level 1 and buy with your initial credits (the money is now called Victis, how ironic!) your rst car: create your rookie race car from scratch, customize it, buy new accessories and evolve it by competing online with other drivers to nally become the king of the Victory Lane.

Introduction
Main Screen
When you enter the main screen if you dont have a car you will need to create one. Its mandatory to have at least one car in Victory. Check out the Create a Car section for more information. After your rst car has been created you will be welcomed by the Main Screen of the game.

In the Main Screen you can notice the Main Menu along the left, the Driver Inspector on the top right, the Car Inspector on the middle right and the Dock on the bottom.

Main Menu
This is the central hub of the game. From here you can access all the areas and functions of Victory.

Driver Inspector
This inspector is always present in the game and shows your nickname, level and experience points when closed. You can move your mouse over the inspector to reveal your actual Victis (V$) and G1 balance.

Car Inspector
This inspector shows you the attributes of the actual car selected in the Main Screen. You can change the actual car, if you have more than one, with the switch car arrows in the dock.

The Dock

In the Main Screens dock you will nd many commands and functions. icon Function Back to the Main Screen. Opens and closes the Driver Sheet. Opens and closes the Game Options Panel. Changes the actual car with the previous one in your garage. Opens and closes the Car Sheet. Changes the actual car with the next one in your garage. Opens and closes the Chat Panel The number on the icon shows how many private conversations you have open. The number on the icon shows how many of your friends are online. Blinks when you dont have any cars in your garage. The number on the icon shows how many of your teammates are online. The number on the icon are the performance points you still have to allocate on the actual selected car. The number on the icon shows how many favorite items you have in the market.

Lobby
Enter the Lobby to play online races and events in Victory.

In the Lobby you can organize the different races and events with the available lters on the left side of your screen and on top of the races list. Create a Race
Click the Create Race button to create a new online race in Victory, you will be welcomed by the New Race Form:

Select your preferred Car Series, Car Class and Race Mode. Race Mode Description A fast single online race. A championship composed of 5 quick races with custom prizes. A series of quick races where the player who wins a race will get more weight on their car on the upcoming race. A series of quick races where the player who arrives in last place can steal performance points from the opponents' cars for the upcoming race.

HotLap
HotLap is the time trial mode in Victory. You will be placed on the track by yourself. With an unlimited number of laps you will try to set the best lap time in that particular track. You can enter the HotLap mode from the Main Screen and then choose whatever track you want to sprint in, or you can enter a Hot Lap Weekly event from the Lobby to race in that particular weekly track.

Develop
Enter the Develop Section to allocate your available Performance Points (PP) on your cars. As you gain levels in Victory, you will earn PP. Every car in your garage gains 2 PP per appropriate class level, with a maximum of 40 PP per car gained through levels.

Function Resets the allocated performance points. Buy the allocated performance points. Adds a PP to the attribute. Substract a PP to the attribute.

Notes Once you allocate and buy the PP, they are locked in to that car. Performance Points are not actually allocated to your car until your buy them. Disabled if you dont have PPs to allocate. You cant subtract already bought PPs.

Market
The market offers you a central hub where to buy every item and widget available for your cars and driver.

Market Filters
Use the Market Filters to lter the items and widget list and nd what you want to buy for your car and driver. Filter Description The Category Filter organizes the list by the accessories' category, and is useful when browsing the market for a particular accessory type. The Bonus Filter organizes items by the bonuses offered by the accessories. If you want something with a bonus on power for example, set the lter to "power items". The Special Filter organizes special items, such as accessories that are marked as "new", "sale" or "favorite". Click the usable checkbox to just show accessories that you can buy and mount on the actual selected car.

Market Functions
Inside the dock in the market screen theres a series of functions that you can use: icon Function Back to the Main Screen. Opens and closes the Driver Sheet. Activates and deactivates the item highlighter. Changes the actual car with the previous one in your garage. Opens and closes the Car Sheet. Changes the actual car with the next one in your garage. Item colors Add item to favorites Only active when a colorable item is selected. If the item is already a favorite, becomes Remove from Favorites. Buy the selected item. When the item highlighter is turned on, the car is transparent except for the selected item. Notes

Game Options
You can access the Game Options window by clicking on the Game Options Icon. icon Function Opens and closes the Game Options window Applies the selected options. Disabled if no options have been selected or changed. Disabled if no options have been selected or changed. Available only in the joypad tab. Notes

Cancels the selected options.

Opens the Calibration Window for joypad calibration. Revert the options to the default values.

Controls
In the Controls Tab you can select you preferred control type from the three available in Victory: Keyboard, Joypad and Mouse. Keyboard If you want you can use just your keyboard to control your car. Just select the keyboard icon in the controls settings. Remember to adjust the keyboard sensibility and speed sensibility to your favorite setting. Joypad Victory supports the majority of commercial USB joypads. Just connect your joypad and restart the game to use it. You can calibrate your joypad and assign different commands to the different buttons in the Controls > Joypad section. Remember to adjust the joypad sensibility and speed sensibility to your favorite setting. You can also set a dead zone percentage to your joypad steering to better handle the car during straight stretch of road. In this section you can enable or disable the force feedback vibration if its supported by the connected joypad. Mouse You can even use just your mouse as the main controller in Victory: you can assign the different commands of the game to the main mouse buttons. Remember to adjust the mouse sensibility and speed sensibility to your favorite setting. You can also set a dead zone percentage to your mouse steering to better handle the car during straight stretch of road.

Video
Adjust your graphic settings in the video tab of the game options to best t your computer performances. You can choose from three main presets: low, medium and high quality, or customize the settings manually.

Sound
Adjust your sound settings in the Sound tab of the game options. You can change the main sound volume and opponents sound volume to change the engines and sound effects volume during the races.

The Game tab of the Game Options handles the different default in-game options and allows you to customize your game experience.

Driver
Create Driver
After the rst login you will be welcomed by the Driver Details form. Here you will choose your preferred nickname to be used in Victory. Hit the check button to check if your desired nickname is available or not. You can also choose your drivers nationality and gender. Note that you can choose whatever nationality you what, but remember that you cant change this rst choice and that you will be listed in your selected countrys rankings online. During the beta you are required to enter a valid beta key to enter the game. Before you start your career in Victory you have two important tasks: Create a Driver and Create your rst car. Enter a driver nickname: Your name can be up to 15 characters long. TIP: Pick a nickname which is easy to remember so your friends can nd and chat with you easily. Choose your drivers nationality. A country ag will be showed to your opponents and your driver will be listed in that countrys online rankings. Choose your drivers gender. You can play with male or female drivers, theres no differences in Victory.

Leveling Up
Your driver will earn Race Experience Points (Rx) by partecipating in Races. As you progress through the levels you gain new Performance Points that you can spend on your cars, access to more Car Classes and Race modes, new accessories and customization features.

Race Experience Points


Earning Race Experience Points (Rx) advances your driver through the different levels in Victory. Rx is gained when you nish races, the amount is determined based on how many players were in the race, players levels and your nal position.

Driver Level
New levels are attained as your driver gains sufcient Rx to 'Level Up'. Your driver level determines which Races you can participate in, as well as the class of cars and customization options available to you. You can see how close you are to leveling up by checking the Driver Inspector which runs across the top right of the screen.

Unlocks
As your driver works through the levels in the game, new events, car classes and series, customization options and events are unlocked. Each time your driver levels up, one or more unlocks become available in the various sections of the game (market, car creation, etc.)

Driver Prole
The Driver Prole keeps a running tally of how many Races and Minichamps you've run and won, as well as your driven miles and laps, your total efciency and your actual Race Experience (Rx) and level.

Efciency
Efciency calculates through various parameters your drivers race efciency.

Cars
Overview
Creating a new car from scratch is one of the most satisfying features of Victory. In Victory you can create and customize a new car just by clicking on the new car icon in the main screen.

Create a Car
Car Blocks: The Block System! !
Our cars are divided in three blocks: the front, center and rear block. You start the car creation by choosing those three blocks: in this way you can completely change the basic shapes of your car. Select your favorite three blocks and continue to the car painting section.

Car Paint
The second part in the car creation system is the Car Paint. In this phase you can modify the esthetic of your car by selecting and buying car colors, patterns, templates, stickers and forms. First you can select your Primary and Secondary car colors: the primary color affects the vast majority of you car surface and the secondary one is used in some minor parts and as a secondary color for other items and accessories. Patterns and Templates are a fast and easy way to customize your car, theyre divided in dozens of categories and you can apply them just by selecting one. Remember to buy it to effectively place it on your new car. You can rotate, scale and change the opacity of the patterns, you cant do that with templates, but theres some colorable templates available under the dedicated category. For more advanced and creative users theres also two more big chances to customize the car: stickers and forms. Stickers and forms can be selected from the dedicated windows and placed on your car ad a new paint element.

Once an element is on your car, there are six ways to customize it: Move moves the element on your car. Flip Flips the element. Rotate Rotates the element on its center point. Color Changes the color of the element. It's not possible to change the color of the stickers. Mirror Creates a duplicate of the selected element on your car. Scale Increases or decreases the size of the element. Stickers are limited to only scale within a locked aspect ratio. You can place and combine an unlimited number of paint elements to create your dream car, be creative! Remember that ever single paint element, template, pattern, etc has a cost, that you can pay both with Victis or G1s. Check out the shopping basket to see how much your car is going to cost you. Click Buy Car to buy your customized car and go back to the main screen.

Car Attributes
As well as visual performance it's possible to upgrade the Performance of your cars too. Each car in Victory is described by six different attributes:

WEI - Weight
The weight of your car is very important, a light car can reach highest speeds. Lightens non-suspended masses (tires +rims)and suspended masses (car body) More acceleration Medium enhancement in braking Little enhancement in lateral grip Little enhancement in traction

AER - Aerodynamics
Aerodynamic forces are generally proportional to the square of the air speed, therefore car aerodynamics become rapidly more important as speed increases. Decreases body car CX (air resistance coefcient) and increases the efciency of the wings. Increments max speed Increments acceleration at high speeds More efcient wings Note: efciency of the wings is dened as Lift/Drag where lift is the force that push car toward asphalt and drag is a air resistance. So more efciency means less drag using the same constant lift or more lift having the same drag (car setup settings)

TRA - Traction
Traction refers to the maximum frictional force that can be produced between surfaces without slipping. The more the traction you have, the more you acceleration you can have when you start your car and during tracks with frequent corners or slow downs. Increaseslongitudinal G force supported by tires. Less drifting in acceleration at lower speed andlower gears

GRP - Grip
Grip describes the total cornering envelope of the car by the friction component of the tire, the mass of the machine and the downforce generated. The more the grip, the more you easily turn your car. Increases lateral G force supported by tires. More speed in the corners

BRA - Brakes
When you reach a turn its time to brake and the more your car can brake efciently, the best your nal position will be, thats for sure. Increases brake power. Decrease braking distance.

POW - Power
Power inuences the engine power of your car, the more power you have, the more speedy and powerful your car will be. Theres never enough power, believe us. Increases engines torque curve and, as consequence, the power. Increases the maximum speed Increases acceleration (especially at low speed) When you create a new car every attribute is set to zero (0). You can increase your cars attributes in two ways: unlocking and then buying Performance Points (PP) in the Develop Section and Performance Items in the Market Section.

Performance Points
You unlock 2 PP every time you level-up during your actual class level range. Rookie Cars unlocks 2 PP for every level from level 1 to level 20. Semi-Pro Cars unlocks 2 PP for every level from level 21 to level 40. Pro Cars unlocks 2 PP for every level from level 41 to level 60. If you create a car when you already leveled the relative class levels you automatically receive the maximum PPs for that particular car. For example if you have a level 23 driver and buy a Rookie car, that car will automatically have 40 PPs unlocked, ready to be allocated. Each time you unlock a PP you can see that the Develop Icon gains an alert, thats the number of performance points that you have unlocked on the current selected car in the garage. Enter the Develop Section from the Main Screen to buy and allocate your unlocked PPs. Just click on the + and - near each attribute to modify the distribution of your unlocked PPs and the click on Buy to permanently modify your cars attributes accordingly. The nal value of each attribute is the sum of the PPs and Items Bonus that you have on that particular attribute. You can distinguish the twos as the PPs have full colored dots and the bonuses are represented with colored dots with a black stroke.

Each car has two performance limits: you can allocate a maximum of 40 PPs per car and buy performance items for a maximum of +40 per car. The sum of allocated PPs and Bonuses is also the sum of each attribute of you car and is called Performance Index. As the two performance limits are 40, the Maximum Performance Index for a car in Victory is 80. You can check the Performance Index of your cars also in the Main Screen, in the Car Inspector on the right.

Other that with performance points, you can increase your cars performance by changing your default car items. You can enter the Market Section to buy new items, depending on you car class and driver level you will nd hundreds of different items, divided in twelve main categories: icon Category Windshields Notes Esthetic items, they can be colorable.

Car Sheet
You can check out your car items in the items tab inside your car sheet. You can open your car sheet from the Main Screen or inspect other cars by clicking the car sheet icon. Car Sheet Opens the Car Sheet of the currently selected car.

Move your mouse on items icons to see their characteristics with the item inspector, select an icon and click on delete or add to favorites to remove an item from your car or add to your favorites items an item when youre inspecting an opponents car. icon Function Car Delete Car Develop Notes Permanently removes the current car from your garage. Enter the Develop Section with the current car, the number are the PP you have unlocked but not yet bought.

Notes Enter the Market Section with the current car, the number are the favorites items that you have not yet bought. Enter the Paint Section with the current car where you can modify paint elements like stickers and templates. Permanently removes the currently selected item. Disabled if no item is selected. Car Setup
You can change the car setup of your car just before a race or from the main screen by opening you car sheet, in the setup tab:

Downforce
Downforce is a downwards thrust created by the aerodynamic characteristics of a car. The purpose of downforce is to allow a car to travel faster through a corner by increasing the vertical force on the tires, thus creating more grip or by decreasing it to have more speed on the straights.

Gears
You can have shorter or longer gears: the longer the gears are, the more speed you can reach on long straights, the shorter the gears are, the more acceleration you can achieve after a brake.

Aerodynamics Balance
Change the aerodynamics balance of your car to have a more oversteering or more understeering car. Use this to inuence the handling of the car at high speeds.

Mechanical Balance
Change the mechanical balance of your car to have a more oversteering or more understeering car. Use this to inuence the handling of the car at low and medium speeds.

Suspensions
You can change the suspensions of your car to be more stiff or soft, depending on your favorite driving style and on the kind of track you will race on.

Brakes Bias
You can change the bias of your brake force to be more strong on the front or rear wheels.

Online Multiplayer
Online Lobby
The rst screen in the Online section of the game is the Online Lobby, where you can search and create Races. New Races can be created by any player and can hosts other players: when you want to play Victory you can enter an already created Race or create one new Race and wait for other players to join yours.

When you create a new Race you have to select the Car Series & Class of the cars that can race in it and the race mode you want to play.

Then you must congure the different options of the Race, like the starting track, track rotation, collisions mode, laps number, etc.

Inside a Race
When you create or enter a Race you always enter as a spectator of that race: just click Enter Race to enter the Race.

The Car Status Panel


The more you race, the more you car attributes degrades. Every attribute can reach a -2 status after some race: you can then restore your attributes by buying Attribute Buffs in the Car Status Panel before each race.

You can buy Attribute Buffs packs in the Market or you can buy single Attribute Buffs in the Car Status Panel before each race. There are different levels of Attribute Buffs for each attribute, from +1 to +5 bonus.

Car collisions are disabled until your car reaches the tracks rst intermediate of the rst lap, then are enabled. Car collisions are enabled for the entire race. The race will last the number of laps indicated inside the icon. There will be no track rotation: next races will be held in the actual track. The server will cycle through all the tracks in the actual zone. The server will host the next race in a random track of the actual zone. In the next race the winner of this race will be placed in the rst position in the grid lane. In the next race the winner of this race will be placed in the last position in the grid lane. The players are randomly placed on the grid lane. Your personal lap record on the actual track. The world lap record on the actual track. The regularity bonus starts at 100% and decreases each time the driver drives outside the track or hits the borders or the other cars.

An abandoned USAF military base located in a remote section of the American Wastelands, Fort Fast has become the perfect location for the Racing Authority to host fast paced races, where you the rubber meets put the pedal to the metal and use the off road dunes for your advantage.

Rock Island
Race through the remnants of Rock Island's villages, an abandoned outpost off the shores of England. Isolated following the Great Reunion, these settlements are now the perfect place to host the most technically challenging tracks in Victory.
