SPONSORSHIP APPLICATION FORM.

Lyon March 25, 1992.

Dear Mrs. Aidé Galdo:

Club Deportivo Cienciano is currently playing in the San Geronimo Soccer Tournament,
for this reason we are contacting you.
to ask for your help as a sponsor, collaborating with the Club in an economic way to be
able to acquire T-shirts.

We offer to put your company's brand on these shirts.

With nothing more to add, we send our best regards.

Club Deportivo Cienciano.

Sponsorship

As a non-profit organization, Clean Up the World relies on the sponsorship and support of a
number of companies and organizations to continue its work.
As mentioned above, the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), Veolia
Environnement, Brambles, National Geographic Channels International (NGCI), the
Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and Qantas are
currently its partners, sponsors and collaborators.

To cover or offset the costs associated with clean-up activities, members may seek
sponsorship or logistical support from businesses and community organizations or
government agencies.

There are two forms of sponsorship:

 Commercial / sponsorship agreement - the company contributes money or

materials to your organization in exchange for e.g. the company's brand name
appearing on your promotional and campaign material.
 Donation - contribution of money, materials or services to help the environmental
campaign without expecting anything in return from your organization. Before
asking a
company or organization to sponsor your campaign, it is important to be clear about
what you can offer and how this relationship can benefit the sponsor and the
campaign.

Before approaching a potential sponsor, ask yourself the following questions:

 Will it cause a conflict with any international sponsors or partners, e.g. are they
competitors?
 Does the sponsorship fit your campaign? Is your sponsor as interested as you are in
repairing the environment, or do they simply want to make a good impression by
partnering with the campaign rather than having to take action? (make sure that the
potential sponsor is not involved in actions that harm the environment)
 What will the sponsor want in return? Do the benefits you have to give the sponsor
cost more than what you get in return? Can you offer them what they want?
 How much time do you need to devote to this sponsorship relationship to make it
work? Is the effort required to attract the sponsor and give them the benefits greater
than the benefit obtained from their financial support? If so, it may not be worth
your
sponsorship.

He is prepared to answer a series of questions about your campaign, including how you will
use the money and who else is involved. Be as specific as you can
as to what you want and share the vision of your project in a way that will get the sponsor
excited about your involvement.

Clean Up the World has provided a sample letter (see below) to request sponsorship that
Members can use to approach a potential sponsor.

Benefits offered
To ensure that the sponsorship obtained at any level becomes a positive experience for
both parties, follow the steps below:

 Write a brief document explaining the agreement and the benefits it will bring. Add
the financial terms and have both parties sign it. Make sure the
advantages are easy to obtain and measure.
 Set up frequent meetings with your sponsor to keep them up to date on the progress
of the campaign and how they can get involved.
 In addition to the basic agreement, think of other ways to involve your sponsor:
invite them to meetings to organize the campaign or invite their employees to
participate in your activities as well. They may be interested in promoting their
activities when conducting their own marketing and advertising campaigns.
 If you place your logo on the materials, always ask permission before printing them.
 At the end of the activities, provide your sponsor with a brief report of results,
achievements and successes and a letter or certificate of appreciation
(your Partner Kit contains a sample certificate that you can use for this purpose).

Dear Sirs: First of all, I would like to send you a cordial greeting and ask you not to
take it amiss if I address this letter to you without having the pleasure of knowing
you beforehand.

The reason why I am doing this is to ask for your collaboration to prevent our team
"Los Manzanas" from being relegated to the fourth division.

It is well known that your beverage company represents a social icon in our town and that
is why we are requesting a sponsorship agreement with you.

Our T-shirts have never carried advertising and this is a unique opportunity for your brand
to become even better known within the region.

If you are interested in the proposal, please reply with a positive or negative answer, or
contact our office at 943 333 444. to make an appointment.
Thank you for your time and the inconvenience this may cause you.

Sincerely,

Paco López
