Learning Activity 14

Evidence 1: Dialogue "Evaluating product and service".

For a professional in any field of action, it is necessary to use English as a tool for
communicating his or her ideas and assessments about a management process in a
business in which he or she is directly involved.

With this evidence, you will acquire the vocabulary, grammatical structures and phrases
to be able to perform fluently and coherently in English when participating in an
evaluative activity of the processes, as well as to present solutions and discuss them in
order to make improvement plans, always for the benefit of the company of which you
are a part.

According to the above, in order to develop this evidence, it is important to read and
analyze previously the training material called Presenting and improvement plan, as well
as the complementary material Improving business processes.

After these readings and in order to fulfill the purpose of this evidence, develop in a
document the following points:

1. Develop a two-person dialogue in English, in which you evaluate the

management process of the company where you work, or of a company you
know, taking into account the following:
 Use the present perfect tense when talking about processes that have been
implemented.
 Use conditionals, in order to propose some modifications and activities to be
implemented for process improvement.
 Include information questions (Wh questions) in which one speaker asks and the
other answers.
 Represent the dialogue graphically using cartoons and names for the characters.

R//

Luisa: Please inform me how the telephone management process in the

collection area is?
Matias: It basically starts whit the reception of our client's databases by a
secure transfer site

Luisa: After the reception they do in your area?

Matias: The load of the information is generated to the management

application of our company and the work lists are generated for the different groups of
collection consultants in this process it is also defined if they are going to manage in a
virtual way some obligations that by the analysis of data they we already have we know
that they pay without the need of an advisor.

Luisa: Matias, what are the work lists you are talking about?

Matias: Lists of predictive or manual dialing, or where applicable only of virtual

management with text messages or voice messages, and subsequently in mixed form.

Luisa: Matias Whit that already start the telephone management?

Matias: Don't, before this and parallel to the generation of work lists strategies
are generated for the collection management of the financial obligations that are
charged.

Luisa: And with that you can call debtors to collect?

Matias: Yes, it is defined that it must be generated by an automatic bookmark

and that it must be generated with manual dialing in order to obtain communication with
the debtors.

Luisa: Which telephone management ends?

Matias: It will only be when the client fulfills his promise of payment otherwise
the process of telephone management by advisor is generated again and supports are
made by virtual management each time with an intensity and greater tone in search of
having collection of arrears.
Luisa: ok, thank you. Matias.

2. Make a glossary of terms based on the supplementary material mentioned above,

with the terms that have been useful to you in creating the dialogue, this should
be composed of the term and its definition in English; if you consider it necessary,
you can use the online monolingual dictionary of your choice.
