It is the time that the duration of driving and uninterrupted service time may be extended, as well as
reductions in the duration of the daily rest in the following situations: in case of road mishap, vehicle

traveled, situations that must be evidenced by documents; as well as, when it is necessary to ensure the
operation of services of public interest on an urgent and exceptional basis.

Any work other than driving, for the same or another licensee, inside or outside the transportation sector,
including but not limited to: loading or unloading, cleaning and technical maintenance, tasks aimed at

transportation operation (customs, administrative, among others) and fuel loading.

4. Driving times and breaks for federal motor carrier drivers.

Every driver must take a 30-minute break when:

a) You have driven up to five continuous hours, or;

In freight transportation, routes must be organized considering the following:

a) On routes that involve a maximum driving time of 14 hours, the driver must have a break of no less than

4.2 of this Standard.

4.7. The maximum driving time in 24 hours may never exceed 14 hours.
7. Surveillance 7.1. Compliance with this Mexican Official Standard is the responsibility of the Ministry of Communications and
Transportation and the Ministry of the Interior, through the Federal Police, within the scope of their
attributions.

The Secretariat, without prejudice to the powers vested in the Ministry of the Interior, through the Federal

the powers vested in each of them.
