Course Description
EDUL 7263 Critical Issues in Educational Leadership (3.0) Credit 3
Examines the current critical issues in educational leadership. Class participants will
have the opportunity to develop strategies to address critical issues found in the
educational arena.

First and Second Manuscript Guidelines – 12-20 pages, including an abstract and
minimum of 5 or more references. Note: Develop a unique title for your first manuscript
based on your dissertation. Develop a unique title for your second manuscript based on a
critical issue in educational leadership. You will lead a discussion concerning each
manuscript submitted. Submit two copies. Include a CD or floppy diskette if you want
your submissions considered for national publication.
Please prepare manuscripts following DOCTORAL FORUM format –
see www.nationalforum.com or The Lamar University Electronic Journal of Student
Research. You may also prepare your manuscript(s) according to specific guidelines for
other professional journals at the national level, i.e. NASSP Bulletin, Educational
Leadership, Education Administration Quarterly, Journal of School Leadership, and so
forth. A copy of the submission guidelines for other journals must be submitted for
approval by Professor Kritsonis.
