Effect of Image: Makes us feel as if we are there hearing these couples quarrel and bicker and comprehend what they are feeling by watching them. MOOD Setting/ Image/ Feeling: Contemplative Effect of Image: The mood Shakespeare makes us feel is contemplation. Because we begin to think about how we really dont understand love, and how the characters dont understand love, but they still let their emotions control their actions. SYMBOL Symbol: The love potion The love potion represents love in general. Meaning: The love potion symbolizes how erotica and unexplainable love really is. It demonstrates how people in love can become so confused and how those who believe they are in love, let their emotions control all their actions, just as the potion made them confused and controlled their further actions. THEME What was Shakespeares purpose for telling this story? Why so you say that? Shakespeares purpose for telling this story was to prove that we as people do not really understand love. We dont understand how love works or how it happens. We just truly believe that it is happening. We just let our feelings control our actions and words.
