PSALM 8 1. (Seed Thoughts V 1, EXALTATION.

MATTHEW 22 v 37 ; Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. The love of God is greater far than tongue or pen can ever tell.. It goes beyond the highest star and reaches to the lowest hell . If you have experienced the combined love and compassion of the Godhead, you would have need of nothing else. To belong to God and Jesus Christ will give us the experience of eternal life with them. Let us exalt and worship them continually. PSALM 107 v 31-32 ; 0 that men would praise the Lord for His good ness and His wonderful works to the children of men. Let them exalt Him also in the congregation of the people and praise Him in the assembly of the elders. PSALM 34 v 1-3 ; I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth My soul shall make her boast in the Lord, the humble shall hear thereof and be glad. 0 magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name for ever. V2. ORCHESTRATION. As the music in an orchestra plays in harrnony for the best results, under the direction of the conductor, so we should worship God in harmony under the direction of the Holy Ghost, and in sincerity and truth. ACTS 2 v I ; And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. How good it is when we can gather in one place with one mind to worship God as the Holy Spirit leads us. HEBREWS 10 v 25 ; Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another , and so much the more as you see the day approaching. We need to grow spiritual and to help and encourage each other to greater heights of spirituality. V 3, MOTIVATION; God ordained the Israelites to be His people and worship Him alone. Today we as His people are required to worship Him and to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ, as revealed in the Scriptures. There were times when the trumpets played while the people worshipped God. But the Christians are waiting for the trumpet sound announcing the coming of Jesus for His church. I THESSALONIANS 4 v 16 ; For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout , with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God and the dead in Christ shall rise first., so shall we ever be with the Lord. What better motivation that to know that we can be with Jesus Christ for eternity if we stand fast in our belief in Him and be obedient to His teachings. V 4. CONGREGATION. As we worship God in the congregation we can feel His presence and know the blessings of Jesus as the Holy Spirit conducts our praise and worship. JOHN 14 v 23 ; Jesus answered and said to him, if a man loves Me he will keep My words and My Father will love him, and we will come unto him and make our abode with him. PSALM 22 v 22 ; I will declare Your name unto my brethren, in the midst of the congregation will I praise You. We need the companionship of other people for we all have something to contribute to the strengthening of the saints and preparing them for the great days of praise and exaltation in heaven. V 5. AFFLICTION. When Joseph was taken to Egypt he suffered persecution but God raised him to a position of great responsibility When the unsaved pursue their own way they are living as "slaves in Egypt." But the goodness and compassion of God can forgive their sins through Jesus Christ and bring them in to the

family of God and into a position of responsibility towards the unsaved and the saints. 2 CHRONICLES 7 v 14 ; If My people which are called by My name shall humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and will heal their land. If we turn aside from Jesus and go back in to sin, then tribulation can be our lot, but true repentance will bring forgiveness and give us another opportunity to serve God and not satan.. V 6. TRANSFORMATION. From slavery to freedom. Joseph found his by his strong faith in his God. We too shall know the of freedom to worship God and receive the blessing that come to the family of God., as they worship God and thank Him for sending Jesus to be our Redeemer. Thank you God for sending Jesus, thank You Jesus that You came. Holy Spirit come and help us, glorify the Saviour's name ROMANS 6 v 16 ; But God be thanked that you were the servants of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart, that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, you became the servants of righteousness. I CORINTHIANS v 9-1 1 ; Know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God ? Be not deceived, neither fomicators nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inheirt the kingdom of God.. And such were some of you , but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit, of our God. God needs to hear our daily praise for our transformation by Jesus Christ. V 7. PRESERVATION. God protected and blessed the Israelites while they were obedient to Him and worshipped Him. He seeks holiness from all who would seek to be in His family. He forsakes all who would turn away from Him and seek to follow satan. Let us worship God in sincerity and truth.. ROMANS 8 v 28 ; And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to Ms purpose. ROMANS 4 v 7 ; Blessed are they whose sins are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. Stand fast in the Lord Jesus Christ and be not drawn away from Him by false doctrines, Our goal is eternal life with Christ and He will preserve those who having unerring faith in Him. V 8. COMMUNICATION. Many times God complained that Israel would not listen to Him or worship Him. They were usually punished for getting involved in the sins of the nations with whom they dwelt from time to time. DEUTERONOMY 3O v9-10; And the Lord your God will make you plentious in very work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your land, for good; for the Lord will again rejoice over you for good, as He rejoiced over your fathers. if you will hearken unto the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in the book of the law, and if you turn unto the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. PSALM 78 v I ; Give ear 0 My people to My law, incline your ears to the word of My mouth. We need to communicate daily with our God in prayer and praise and meditate upon His word to get His reply to us. V 9. SEPARATION. God' call to His people has always been, repent, turn from your sins and follow My teachings and I will forgive you and remember your sins no more. Give up those foreign idols, do not intermarry with the heathen races, or become entangled in their abominations. 2 CORINTHIANS 6 v 14, 17-18 ; Be you not unequally yoked together with unbelievers for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness ? and what communion has light

with darkness ? Wherefore come out from among and be you separate says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing and I will receive you . And will be a Father unto you, and you shall be My sons and daughters says the Lord Almighty. 2 CORINTHIANS 7 v I Having therefore these promises dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit perfecting holiness in the fear of the Lord. ROMANS 6 v 16-18 ; Know you not that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey, whether of sin unto death or of obedience unto righteousness. But God be thanked that you were the servants of sin, but you have obeyed from the that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin you became the servants of righteousness. V 22. But now being mad free from sin and become servants to God, you have your fruit unto holiness and the end everlasting life. V 10. DECLARATION. PSALM 81 v 10 . I am the Lord your God who brought you out of Egypt PSALM 18 v 1-2 ; I will love You 0 Lord my strength, the Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my strength, in whom I will trust, My buckler and the horn of my salvation., and my high tower. This same God is alive in heaven and watches over His people. V 21-22 ; For I have kept the ways of the Lord and have not wickedly departed from my God. For all his judgements were before me, and I did not put away His statutes from me.. What a blessing awaits us as we follow God's commandments. Let us declare the name of our Saviour and He will confess our name before the angels and His Father in heaven. V I 1. APPRECIATION. Israel lacked it and often turned their backs on God who dealt drastically with them. ROMANS I v 23-24 ; And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds and four footed beasts and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts to dishonour their own bodies. between themselves. Even then they hated God more than ever. What a contrast between them and those who love and worship God. PSALM 66 v 1-4 ; Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. . Sing forth the honour of His name make His praise glorious. Say unto God, How terrible are You in all Your works; Through the greatness of Your power shall Your enemies submit themselves to You, all the earth shall Page 4 worship You and shall sing unto You, They shall sing to Your name. Selah. v 8.. 0 bless our God you people and make the voice of His praise to be heard. Let us continue to meditate on the word of God then we shall draw closer to Him and know Him better. PSALM 63 v 3-5 ; Because Your loving kindness is better than life my lips shall praise You. Thus will I bless You while I live, I will lift up my hands in Your name, My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth will praise You with joyful lips. V 12. REJECTION. The lusts of the flesh had a great pull on the Israelites. . The heathen nations encouraged the Israelites to join them in worshipping their evil gods and going into adultery. God punished them on each occasion for their sin against Him.. Scripture shows us numerous verses that indicate God will punish those people who once worshipped Him and then turned away from Him to go back into the world and its evil practices. God has promised to remove their names from the book of life.. EXODUS 32 v 32. And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever has sinned against Me, him will I blot out of My book. The unsaved are not written in the book of life, so when the saved who do have their names in this book sin

against God their names are blotted out if they do not receive forgiveness. PSALM 69 v 28 ; Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not written with the righteous. V 13 ; RESTORATION. JOHN 3 v 16-17 ; For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whose believes on Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved. No matter how bad things were in the Israelite camp, God still wanted them to repent and turn to Him again. When the lust of the flesh overcame them God had to deal severely with them These were people who earlier had a good relationship with God. . EZEKIEL 33 v I ; Say unto them As I live says the Lord, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked but that the wicked turn from his way. Turn you, turn you from your wicked ways, for why will your die, 0 house of Israel ? Let us not be seen in trespasses and sin, or only lukewarm in our discipleship with Jesus. I JOHN I v 9 ; If we confess our sin He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and to cleanse us from a unrighteousness. I PETER 2 v 9 But you are a chosen generation. a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people that you should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvellous light, V 14. INTENTION. God had always wanted to bless Israel protect them against their enemies, and send the Israelites forth to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. . He will always bless those who are obedient to His statutes and will worship Him, DEUTERONOMY I v 26-29 ; Behold I set before you this day a blessing and a curse. A blessing if you obey the commandments of the Lord, your God which I command you this day. And a curse if you will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which you have not known. This statement stiff stands today and God is ever listening to the voice of His people as they show whose servants they are. V 15. RECONCILIATION. ISAIAH I v 16-18 ; Wash you, make you clean, put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes, cease to do evil. Learn to do well, seek judgement relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. Come now and let us reason together says the Lord, though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow. Though they be red like crimson they shall be as wool. 2 CHRONICLES 7 v 14 If My people which are called by name shall humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Reconcile means to be friends again instead of enemies and to know that our sins are completely forgiven and we are back again to the fellowship we had before we sinned. What a heavy price Jesus had to pay to make possible a reconciliation between God and man. . If we forgive others then God will also forgive us. V 16. MANIFESTATION - If we live a life of sin the results are tested to those people who get to know us. ROMANS I v 28 ; And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind to do those things which are not convenient. So these people chose to forget God and accepted the way to hell , despite all the warnings they had from the Holy Scriptures. GALATIANS 5 v I ; Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, And be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage., Hold fast to the gospel of Christ and do not let it slip away Joshua could say in JOSHUA 25 v I5 ; And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom you will serve,.Whether the gods your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the

gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell , but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord I'm not ashamed to own my Lord, or to defend His cause. Maintain the honour of His word, the glory of His Cross. Jesus my Lord I know His name, His name is all my trust Nor will He put my soul to shame, nor let my hope be lost. At the Cross, at the Cross, where I first saw the fight And the burden of my heart rolled away It was there by faith I received my sight, And now I am happy all the day.
