Assembling Procedures
1. Make sure all sealing areas of all

connecting parts (spigots, pipes or
fittings) are faultless and clean,
remove any excess varnish (tears) to
give a smooth and even surface.
2. Gently remove the EPDM

rubber sealing collar from
the stainless steel shell of
the coupling.

3. Slide in the rubber collar to one end of the tube until it reaches
the center of the collar.
4. The shell is then mounted on top of the rubber collar and
secured in place.

5. Push in another pipe or fitting from 6. Tighten the screw with a screw

7. To assemble a grip collar, simply attach 2

segments together first before it is snapped on
to the coupling.
8. The claw segments must be evenly wrap

around the coupling, pay attention that the claw

of the coupling.
9. Screw together loosely the grip collar

segments, and then inter- changeably tighten
the bolts crosswise so that the fastening parts
are drawn together in parallel, and preferably
with the same spacing.
10. When tightening the screws and nuts, seat the

washers behind the bolt heads and nuts.

11. Apply the necessary torque

(Nm) on all screws until firmly
locked with the use of a torch
wrench. Torque ranging from
12-65 Nm depending on the
pipe diameter.
