The application of the sensor usually installed in turbine engine (GE), the function is to detect flame during startup the engine. If the sensor not detect the flame so sequence of startup the engine will fail. In my experience this not need complicated maintenance, just cleanning the glass at it surface.

The Models of Ultraviolet FLAME SENSOR Honeywell is LG1093AC01 through 09, This sensor used to detect the ultraviolet radiation emitted by a hydrocarbon flame, and from this sensor will produce a signal (current) to indicate when a flame is present. - Operating supply voltage : +320 to +350 Vdc - Wire connections: Black wire (supply voltage +350 Vdc), White wire (sensor output 0-40 mA, pulsed), Green wire (Shield/ground) - Temperature : -40 deg C to +177 deg C (source manual book honeywell)

When intervention on this equipment, caution...!!! dueto high voltage present, better to remove/disconnect cable power prior to connecting or removing the wiring to the flame sensor.

In the application actually Flame sensor can't stand alone, they need other amplifier/circuit which provides a flame/no flame status. The flame sensor is designed to interface with the Honeywell EG 1033 amplifier.

When I recieved the new one from the store, I measured the resistance between all wire, and the value is open loop ( LO Mega ohm), and from this when perform preventive maintenance or trobleshooting we can determine my FLAME SENSORstill good or not
