RIPPED FROM THE OPERATORIES

AND LABS OF THE DENTAL CLINIC IGNORE THE CAST MARKINGS AND INSTEAD CONCENTRATE ON THE REMAINING TEETH AND THE EDENTULOUS AREAS WHAT IS THE CLASSIFICATIONOF THE FOLLOWING???

Class III mod 3. Most posterior edentulous area determines class. Size of edentulous area means nothing.

Bilateral distal extension = Class I with no modication spaces which dont include diastemas.

Bilateral distal extension with no modication spaces so a Class I.

Single edentulous area that crosses the midline with no regard to size of the edentulous area = Class IV.

A Class III with one or two modication spaces depending on whether #4 area will be restored. Remember we dont normally restore distal to a rst molar if it would result in a distal extension area so no replacement for #15. If you did restore it then it becomes a Class II which is less favorable than a Class III.

Class II mod 1.

Class IV

Class II mod 1.

Class II mod 3. Any beKer way to restore #s 7 and 10??

Class II mod 2. Stand alone abutment teeth like #29 have to be approached with TLC.

Class III mod 1.

Class III mod 1.

Pure Class III as it has no mods.

Class I mod 2.

Class II mod 1

Class I. a classic lower RPD and often opposing a complete denture.

Class II mod 1 or 2 depending on whether you restore #4.

Class II with 0 mods. A lot of hardware to replace one or maybe two teeth. Think about it!
