Reflection and Call to Worship May the word of Christ dwell in us richly; and with gratitude in our hearts may we sing
psalms, hymns and spiritual songs to God. Come, let us worship the Lord our God.
Collect Blessed Lord, who caused all holy scriptures to be written for our learning; help us to hear them, to read, mark,
learn and inwardly digest them that, through patience, and the comfort of your holy word, we may embrace and for ever hold fast the hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Saviour Jesus Christ, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
First Reading Nehemiah 8: 1-4, 8-12 Hearing the scriptures inspires Gods people to tears and celebration. Second Reading - Colossians 3: 12-17 As Christians gather in worship and listen to God, they are encouraged to show the
generosity to others that God has shown to them.
Gospel - Matthew 24: 30-35 Jesus urges his followers to pay attention to the signs of the times.
