About the Authors (AA1)

ShackelBerry/Zeras: Orange (AA2)
Hei my name is Shackelberry here on the forums. I play a 6x Heretic mostly based on the SPR stat. Me and the other authors decided to create this In-Depth info about the class heretic cause the devs were looking for guides for the class and the guides currently on the forum doesnt really sum up to being a guide in my opinion. This in-depth info will be a work of the community meaning that everyone interested can get access to it and edit in it. So Ill be looking forward to having people edit this guide/compilation of info and drop it in the dropbox created for this, so I can go through it and edit the original post which will be on the forums.

Alenael/DarkSeraphim: Light Blue AA3)

Forum name is Alenael but I am more commonly known by my Internet persona DarkSeraphim (Yes I use it everywhere I go). I am helping in conjunction with the other authors to write a very detailed and well documented class guide based on the class known as a Heretic within the game Battle of the Immortals (Referred to as BoI from here on). My personal build revolves around the use of Intellect for Crit and Spirit for my Mana and Mana Regen. I shoot for different percentages of Crit at different levels and dump the rest of my points into Spirit. My build will be discussed more in our Builds section. If you require any assistance feel free to whisper me and I will be glad to help you (/P DarkSeraphim HELP!!!!).

Rurua/Symphy: Purple (AA4)

My name is Rurua in the forums, and I hope you feel more knowledgeable after reading this humble guide we presented to you. Personally, I loved being healers and supporters in any MMO I touched on. They are likely one of the most needed roles but usually require a lot of devotion. Despite the need of good supports in the instances as of BoI, they lack the ability to level quickly by soloing unless you have good gear and a good build to follow on. Therefore, we bring you this guide, with varieties of builds that you might follow or change as you require; guiding you to path which we think it is recommended. Even those who are experienced should also take a look at some advanced factors in playing a Heretic, since there might be factors you did not know of. Ill stop now, and we hope this guide will be helpful to you.

Class Information (CI1)

Background (CI2)
Heretics come from a long line of religious fanatics. Once holy men, have now melded dark magic with light magic. Capable of dealing medium levels of magic damage, Heretics also have the ability to use magic defensively. Many of their abilities are capable of buffing or healing the caster. Heretics are a key component to any group encounter, whether it be against monsters or other players.

Description (CI3)
Heretic Zealous spell casters that control life and death itself. Heretics protect and mend the wounds of allies with light and corrupt enemies with shadow. Heretics are invaluable to any group, whether they stand against ancient evils or opposing factions. The heretic also remains a powerful single force with excellent durability and destructive power.

More Specific Information (CI4)

Heretics are a class that requires high stats to actually see any real difference in our ability to do damage or to heal. Despite of that, Heretics are probably one of the best soloing classes easily. As a heretic, you can: heal yourself and teammates, buff yourself and teammates, you have the second highest defense in the game, and still de descent amounts of damage when played correctly. For example, one of our main aspects when dealing damage is to not interrupt our auto attack which can add some enjoyment when playing by timing the use of spells to maximize DPS. However, when your overall attributes appear low you might feel like you are a leech because you generally do nothing but heal and auto attack (Which is a lot of the times what we do). But dont fret because being a good support member is a large part of being a Heretic. Do the job well and youre bound to get invited back by the members of that group! In all, if you are willing to sacrifice your mp to help your teammates, this class is for you! Being a support does have its own advantages and disadvantages when looking for a party, but if you do really like support classes or feel devoted to help others, you can read on to know more about it! And dont forget, having good pets to sync together with your character will help more than you have ever imagined.

Stat Discussion (SD1)

As mentioned before Heretics stats dont really seem to affect us very much. Instead most of our stats come from gear and its when we are wearing good (Or correct) gear that we notice how good of a class we can be. Below is some research done by a player named Iartnoob. Basically what these numbers show are the different effects of having a Full Spirit, Full Intellect, or Full Vitality build at the same level with the same gear. You can see at the bottom the small differences in damage/healing done when changing between these three different specs and how neither of them really stick out as being that much better than the others in any way.

Stat Distribution (SD2)

Vitality Vitality will give us more Health. 1 Vitality point equals 20 of Health over all 1 Vitality point equals # of HP Regen

Spirit Spirit gives Mana Regen and more total Mana over all. 1 Spirit point equals 15 Mana overall 1 Spirit point equals # Mana Regen

Strength Strength raises our Physical Attack 1 Strength point equals 1 of Physical Attack 1 Strength point equals 1 Accuracy

Intelligence Intelligence will grant us more Critical rating and more Magical Attack. It takes 35-45 Intelligence points to give us 1% to Critical (Need to confirm exact numbers) 1 Intelligence points give us 1 Magical Attack

Dexterity Dexterity raises our Evasion rating and increases our Accuracy rating. 1 Dexterity point gives us # Evasion rating 1 Dexterity point gives us 1 Accuracy rating 1 Dexterity point gives us # Critstrike Rate

Note: If marked with a # it means the number is currently unknown. Help by submitted its actual number if you know it.

Elemental Stats (SD3)

You may have seen that some of our skills use light/dark attack as amplifiers. At level 1 we have no points in either light or dark stats. Light and Dark stats can only be obtained through gems and gear. Hitting level 40 we gain a passive skill that increases our Light and Dark defenses called Resistance. Light Attack Improves the damage of a lot of your spells and heals. Light Defense Useful or facing other Heretics and some bosses. Dark Attack Improves the damage of a lot of your spells and the amount healed when using certain spells. Dark Defense Useful or facing other Heretics and some bosses. There are Fire and Ice Attack as well but they are useless for us but the resistance for them can be useful in PvP and in PvE content.

Status Stats (SD4)

Silence Resistance Helps fight against those who can cast silence on you. Sleep Resistance helps fight against those who can cast sleep on you. Freeze Resistance Helps fight against those who can freeze you. Stun resistance Helps fight against those who can stun you. Order of importance is: Stun -> Silence -> Sleep -> Freeze I based this list off what I have seen in PvP so far. Generally I see myself being stunned or Silenced and have yet to see a Sleep or Freeze on myself. These are all important stats however and we have hardly scratched the surface of the game so we are unsure on how important each will be in PvE and PvP content. This information needs to be updated but its really hard to determine what is and isnt that important just yet so we need some discussions within the forum about it all before we go off making random decisions about the actual importance.

Builds (BUL1)
While different builds may exist, the stat points that your characters earn themselves are really useless (Almost). With 40 points to spend (Equivalent to leveling from 20-40) you only get 600 Mana from full Spirit and about 1.2% to Crit if you are pure Intellect. From these examples your skill attributes you receive from leveling up generally wont give a whole lot when you began getting Soul Gear and gemming it all. Since your gear is what is important we are only going to discuss builds that revolve around going full points into a single attribute and the ups and downs of that choice and what bonuses you get from it. The below stats are considering you reach level 100 with all points spent into a single stat. Full Vitality 2400 HP and some HP Regen Cons: o Pros: o

HP Regen is useless for us since we can heal HP bonus is not great but you could do much worse with a stat

Copyright 2010 Adeline Gan (aka Symphy), Justin Witol (aka DarkSeraphim), and Simon Bgelund (aka Zeras). All Rights Reserved.

Page 10 Full Spirit 4000 MP and some Mana Regen Cons: o Pros: o o

Mana Regen is currently bugged making it useless The MP gained isnt too bad but at higher levels that isnt even going to put a dent in how much you have Also grants us more healing done which equals to about 200-250 points of healing difference at level 100

Full Strength 160 Physical Attack and 160 Accuracy (If you get 1 point each attribute spent) Cons: o Pros: o

Everything! This is a horrible idea nothing we have relies on Physical Attack Some Accuracy so we wont miss as often, yea thats about all

Full Intellect 160 Magic Attack and about 5% Crit Rating Cons: o Pros: o

The Magic Attack isnt a whole lot considering, but can still useful at lower levels The Crit from this is pretty nice bonus

Full Dexterity 160 Accuracy (If you get 1 point each attribute spent), some Critstrike rating, and Evasion Cons: o

Low amounts of Evasion to really make a difference, according to some Slayers who went full Dexterity they cannot notice any difference in the amount of attacks they dodge so why should we? The Crit from this appears to be a bit more than a Full Intellect build however that is all this spec has going for it Some Accuracy so we wont miss as often

Pros: o o

Note: This section is still being improved please feel to contribute whatever information on the subject of builds you wish to us so we can improve this section and others.

Holy Verdict (SK2)

Casts light upon the enemy's dark heart, dealing magic damage and bonus light damage. Deals x% of Magic damage plus x amount of Bonus Light Damage Damage.

Comments: This is the strongest spell you have in terms of large damage from one attack. This spell starts off slow but with high crit, magic attack, and upgrades it will become a spell worthy of respect. I suggest only ranking it up to about rank 6 or so until you reach higher levels (60+). Do not waste time on this however if you do not have the gear ready because without a lot of Magic attack its damage suffers a lot.

Comments: Try and upgrade this whenever possible because it is a large amount of free damage you can do every now and then. If you fail to upgrade this too often it will become useless and do almost no damage at all. Try to shoot for at least one rank every 10 levels if every possible.

Soul Siphon (SK4)

Drains the life of the target enemy and recover HP. You deal x amount of HP Drained and then leave a Wound that corrupts its body from within, dealing x amount of Damage(Dark & Spirit) every second for 10 seconds. Increasing your Dark damage and Spirit will improve the life stealing effect. life-stealing

Comments: Dont worry too much about upgrading this too often. It does nice damage and has a nice effect so upgrade it whenever you have extra EXP/Coins or whenever you feel the cost of it has become low enough. During boss fights you should cast this on the boss at any chance the that you get as it does free damage and will heal you meaning you need to pay less attention to your own health.

Comments: This skill is one of the Heretics main spells that make them stand out among the other classes. This spell makes us useful in a group while doing events, dungeons, or PvP. This spell will make you very well loved (Or hated for the lack of using it) and can easily make the it) difference in completing an obstacle within the game. Like your XP skill you should upgrade this at least every 10 levels and you should take this skill over another should you have chooses.

Comments: The only AoE (Other than our XP Skill) that we get for a while. It does some descent . damage so try and upgrade it whenever possible but chances are leaving it at 1 will be just fine (Leave it to the other classes to DPS). However some dungeons and events really speed up some when you are able to deal damage so you may feel that ranking this spell up is very useful. If you want to rank up at least one damaging spell I suggest this one.

Comments: Great spell as well should be put under your buffs in terms of when to upgrade your skills. It is a bit expensive but well worth it when you reach rank 7+ (Blocks 4 attacks with a 57 Second Cooldown). Additional comments: PvE Usage: Foremost, I shall clarify this: The Attacks means any attack. One of the many usage is to use it on yourself before the bombs explodes during Spectre Island runs, at the 2nd boss. You would actually cancel off the damage of the bombs, allowing you to heal your teammates who had lost health due to the bombs. You could shield the magus ates teammates if they have lower health too. Another usage would be the final boss of that Island, before those Monkeys explode, you could do it too. A great skill if you used it against any timed high damage attacks. But however, it does not work on DoT [Damage over Time], so please take note.

Comment: Seems to me like it is a PvP spell that should be used first before using your other attacks as it decreases the targets resistances values which allows for more damage from you. It also stuns the target which can be an effective counter to many things. In PvE I dont see much use for this other than if its Resistance Decrease is effective against bosses and other mobs Resistance mobs.

Gear Discussion (GRD1)

Gears often make great differences in a character in most MMORPGs, and it makes much more in BoI. Getting ready different sets of gears for different purposes would make you a better Heretic, although it might be troublesome. Once you start getting Soul Gear and start to gem it you are able to make more eccentric gear for different purposes. For starters, buy the gear from the badge vendors. Those are bought from the NPC that specializes in Heretic gear just outside the Knights Jail. So we will not go in too deep into the aspect of obtaining gear, because the important stuff is what you do with the gear you obtain. Generally the set bonuses on a piece of gear will out way any individual item and if it doesnt chances are you are looking at a blue item and not a green one. You can usually toss any green pieces you locate while doing a dungeon away while hoarding the blue ones to use or sell yourself.

It also means, although that gear might be for Magic Attack, there is still a chance that it will contain stats like Strength and also Dexterity. There is a chance for a non-perfect gear having better stats that you need than the perfect one. But ultimately, the perfect ones have better bonuses overall. The following tables show the minimum and maximum stat that each corresponding level accessories will give. Accessories [Rings& Necklaces]

Gear Builds (GB1)

Builds for PvP Heretic (GB2)
As a PvP Heretic, there are slight differences to what gem you should embed into your gears. And these are the following which might do you good: Rank of Importance of Gems
Rank of Importance 1 2 3 4 Type of Gem HP Gem Light Attack Gem Critical Strike Gem Physical Defense

Comments: No matter which build you want to go in PvP. HP is the key of survival. Heretics are weak in the HP sector, so we needed more HP gems to boost our HP up. Light Attack serves as the main attacking and healing boost, especially at Heal and Holy Verdict. Critical are needed as well, to boost our damage and heals through luck to a higher range of damage. Might be better for healing since you can heal yourself or others times two the amount you could heal. I placed Physical defense but not Magic Defense due to the fact that we have Silence. And usually physical damage is much more painful and for magic damage: Against Heretics, you have Light and Dark Resistance. Against magus, a single Silence will render them useless. Also, magus does have specific elements of spells, so you can easily block them off using elemental resistance gems.

Builds for PvE Heretic (GB3)

As a PvE Heretic, there are slight differences to what gem you should embed into your gears. And these are the following which might do you good: Rank of Importance of Gems
Rank of Importance 1 2 3 4 Type of Gem Light Attack Gem Critical Strike Gem Magic Damage Gem Health

Comments: In PvE based, we will be putting more into Attacking. Even if it is for instance runs, this build works fine, but perhaps switch health with Magic Damage and you are done. Light Attack increases damage overall, you would be spamming Holy Verdict anyways. Also, it aids your healing too. Sadly to say, we Heretics need to do critical to do decent damage. So if you want more damage, go for more critical. If you wish to have stable yet average-high damage, go for Magic Damage. Lastly, health is always the key for survivability, and to fend off sudden PKs, allowing you to run away.

Gem Embedding Info (GE1)

Not all gears give you all four slots and some only offers two slots or even only one. This is where you can pick choices to customize your character for PvP or PvE. Caution: There are two types of gems, one being offensive another being defensive. Offensive gems are usually based on attacking ability, from Physical Attacks to Elemental Attacks and to Critical Strikes. Defensive gems ranges from Physical Defenses to Resistances and to HP/MP.

Offensive PvP Build Gem Setup (GE2)

Full setup on Healing and spell damage. Setup for Heal and Spells w/ Hit Rate Setup for Spells w/ Hit Rate. Luck Based. Overall increased in healing and damage.

Comments: This is pretty much straight forward. Light attacks are the best towards damage followed by Magic Attack. But the reason why Critical Strike is higher is due to the fact its for PvP. In PvP, raising small amounts of Magic Attack might not really work, unless its a big boost. Ill suggest doing more critical rather. But then again, its your choice. Accuracy comes into the picture where you have already two main gems embedded. Thought that it could help out in hitting Slayers or some other players who boosted Evasion.

Comments: It is a good thing that the gems are split up into two sections and here is why. With the diverse family of gems, we now have the defensive section. These gems might be more favorable to most players, especially the HP gems. There is no need to explain why HP is first, without HP you are died, simple. But on the other hand, there might be debates about Physical or Magic Defense. But to me personally, you have your slience, so that would seal of magic attacks, hopefully. And your main threats are actually the stunners, so having more physical defense would help you fend off attacks from Slayers and other high DPS classes. Now now, what about magus? Well, we have resistance gems for them, so that would cripple their damage against you. You have your own Resistance which increases Dark and Light Resistances, so those relevant gems wont be that important.

Comments: Yes, same as PvP. Since Dark Attack doesnt affect the Dark based skills a lot, going for Light is a better choice. Again, Light Attack increases our damage ability, namely Holy Verdict and our normal attack. Also, Critical strike to increase our damage potential since we cant do much damage as other classes. Lastly, Magic Attack also do increase damage, but not to healing. You could swap Critical Strike with Magic Attack, if you want stable damage.

Comments: Pretty much the same but without resistances like in the PvP build. I guess all of them should be easily understandable. But if in doubt, this would be helpful: Choose Physical if you are grinding at Physical Monsters more, Magic if it is Magic Attacking monsters. Although I would say, a balance of the two would be the best.

Pet Discussion (PD1)

Pets can be very useful anytime in BoI. Because of this having multiple pets that do different jobs is usually a preferred method of staying on the top of your game. Generally as a Heretic you will need 2 separate pets. One being a Support pet, healing/buffing, and the other being a DPS Pet, for damage/tanking.

Support Pet (PD2)

A support pet is going to be the pet you want to always bring with you into dungeons and instances and maybe into many PvP situations. The reason why is because a lot of your time will be spent healing and not actually attacking an enemy. A support pet will continue buffing, healing, etc. while you are also healing. But a pet designed for raw damage would not attack unless you are attacking. A support pet should be made from one that gains Spirit as it levels. The reason behind this is so it will have a lot of Mana to Buff/Heal with. You also want to teach it support spells of course. A good one to start with is a spell called Focus. It will buff you giving you 10% increased Spirit for 30 seconds (Advanced version gives 20% increased spirit). This buff will always be up and have no downtime (Unless your pet dies) so it is a great free buff to start you off with.

DPS Pet (PD3)

A good off-hand pet would be a pet that either focuses on STR or DEX, because this will boost your overall killing speed when you solo those long and dreadful kill X of Y quests. A good thing is to get a pet with high growth, dont focus so much on quality unless its perfect, high growth equals to stronger pet, where high quality equals to faster leveling of the pet. For a DEX based pet I would go with the Dark Elf pet from Rainbow valley, most of the time it comes with a 5% more to DEX passive, if youre lucky enough to get it with a free attack slot, you should immediately go and buy get either Shadow strike or Advanced Shadow strike to boost your killing speed even further. I use this Dark Elf and am currently level 63 and my Dark Elf is 46 and it out damages me skill-wise.

Craft Discussion (CD1)

Research (CD2)
Not going to say much about this craft. There will be a point where you will be wondering why you cant level your other crafts anymore. The reason for this is because your research skill level isnt high enough. So do remember to keep this craft leveled according to the rest of your crafting levels, otherwise youll be stuck with leveling it for a day before you can level the others.

Alchemy (CD3)
I dont care what you say but picking up Alchemy as your craft when you start the game will really help you out (Or having a friend who picks it up). With it you can make some very good food early on that will save you a fair amount of coin and time restocking your food supplies (As well as having to stuff your face with food every 30 seconds). Later on you can create potions with it as well that also help out but become ineffective as you get into the higher levels and your overall mana becomes much larger.

Refining (CD4)
A long side leveling alchemy you should remember to level up your refining skill, so that you can combine more stuff and get higher tier of the former item. Ex. Copper ore refines into Copper chunk or Fine copper. This will help you on some quests later on, where you need at least level 10 in refining to solve some quests, including scenario and crazy shopping.

PvE Discussion (PvED1)

Solo (PvED2)
While soloing you should just auto attack everything; pull out a pet that can do some decent damage and it will speed killing things up a bit. I suggest you auto attack because while casting spells you tend to interrupt your auto attack at times. This causes you to miss using your most damaging moveauto attack. Yes you heard me your auto attack will easily do the same or more damage than your other abilities and each attack is initiated quickly and requires no mana. This allows you to save food/potions and allows you to focus on more important things like whos winning the ball game.

In the Team (PvED3)

No matter what you are told or what you may believe, you are a healer and everyone expects you to be one as well. In a team keep a watch on everyones health and heal them up if you feel they are getting to low. Try to help out as much as possible by auto attacking the target the people in your group are targeting so you do not gain agro (hate) yourself. If you are having issues healing or dont feel its a very fun concept then you may want to reconsider playing a Heretic. Sometimes when in groups you may want to stow your pet thats meant for damage and pull out a pet better suited to helping the group. A fine example of this is a pet that brings buff to you or other party members or is able to heal. Remember if you do your job well in the group there is a good chance you will be invited back next time!

Instances (PvED4)
Dungeons are almost the same as when you are playing in a group. The largest difference of course is enemies hit a lot harder and you are expected to heal even more. Try to keep everyone topped off at full health for most of the dungeon. Some events may happen that make this challenging (Like large AoEs and other things the bosses do) but try to keep calm and continue healing. The most important person to keep alive is yourself, because, without you the group has no healer. So always take priority of healing yourself back up to full. The next priority is the tank, because, without him the boss may tear through everyone else with large hits. After yourself and the tank heal whoever currently has the lowest amount of health until everyone is back to full health. Dont forget to use Bless while in dungeons on yourself and others. Its really helpful for a DPS or Tank to continue doing their job when giving them 1k+ mana every 30 seconds (This is considering rank 1 usage). Angels Barrier is another great ability to make sure to use when you/party member start getting low on health. It can also be used to avoid large incoming damage or an onslaught of crits on the tank. It never hurts to keep debuffs on the boss as they will heal you and do damage to him. You should also spend time auto attacking the boss while not doing any of the above. Finally make sure you and the rest of the group understand exactly what is going to happen during the encounter you are attempting. It can make all the difference doing a quick rundown of an encounter before attempting it.

Skill Ranking Priority (PvED5)

The idea of this section is to give you an idea on what spells go over other spells. Its completely your choice on which skill you should rank up and when you should rank it up and these are merely suggestions for you to take when ranking your skills for PvE content. To read this I have split spells into 3 separate groups. Group 1 is the most important group with Group 3 being the least important. Listed under each group are a list of Spells and the order I feel there importance should be when thinking of a PvE experience. I only go up to level 55 spells by then you should understand more about your character and be able to make your own decisions.

Group 1 Heal Bless Soul Link Death Return Fortification

Group 2 Angel Barrier Holy Verdict Ode of Doom Resistance

Group 3 Soul Siphon Exorcism Chain of Life Silence

PvP Skill Breakdown and Usage (PvPD3)

Now, lets go into each and every skill and breaking down them to usage and usefulness in PvP areas. Just as a reminder, this section is purely written by prediction and estimations, the actual PvP techniques must be further studied and developed by each and every player. This is just a guide on which skills are useful and which arent. Of course discussions on usefulness as well, but its you, the reader that see fit which one is better than the others.

Name: Heal
Category: Restorative Comments: Well, this skill is one of the staple skills for any situation. It is the skill that makes us Heretics, so there is no need to further explain this.

Name: Resistance
Category: Self Passive Buff Comments: We can actually compare this skill to Champions. But with a lower defense increase but some light and darkness resistance. This self buff is great when facing Heretics as they do Dark and Light Damage against you. It also does well against Slayers who focus on Dark Damage. The increase in Physical Defense would not be too great, but it would be still great to have extra defense against attacks.

Name: Angel Barrier

Category: Self/Targeted Active Protection Comments: The one skill that makes people hate Heretics. Time it well to block off a series of combo skills and you will laugh off their stupidity of wasting their skills on you. It is possible as this skill does not cause much animation cancelling and at higher levels, this skill would be surely an asset to you while PvPing since you can block more attacks with a shorter spell cool down. Usage: This skill can be used on yourself and also others. You can cast it on an ally that is being attacked to prevent any further damage for a few seconds and also heal his lost HP back. If it is used on you, make sure you do not attack players as it would reduce the duration of the shield, try to support others using buffing skills and also healing. Doing this would maintain the duration of the shield to its maximum.

Name: Fortification
Category: AoE Allied Buff Comments: Having higher HP is good and in PvP situations, it is always a plus. But just be sure you cast it more than once since it only affects 10 people around you if it is a big PvP battle. If not, keep it always up when PvPing, to gain extra HP.

Name: Silence
Category: Targeted De-buff/Disable
Copyright 2010 Adeline Gan (aka Symphy), Justin Witol (aka DarkSeraphim), and Simon Bgelund (aka Zeras). All Rights Reserved.

Page 34 Comments: One of the essential skills in the PvP area. This is one of the most useful disables; cast it on those who use spells like Magus, or enemy Heretics to prevent them from healing and buffing. Usage: It has a kind of long cool down. So it is up to you to select the player you wish to stop from casting spells. However, I would target Magus and Heretics first. After all, they are the main backbone of the PvP fight, AoE spells and also healings. If it is a 1v1 situation, this spell would usually be the tideturner, but really, its all based on your prediction and judgment. Try to figure out the spell cool down of your enemy.

Name: Chain of Life

Category: Self Passive De-buff on Enemies Comments: A great skill to fend off attacks and run away when in trouble. Or in big PvP battles, use it to run to a fellow teammate to allow him to assist you more. Do not underestimate this skill, the reduction in movement speed and attack rate, does not only aid you to run away, but also allowing you and your friends to chase the target.

Name: Soul Link

Category: AoE Active Buff Comments: For this skill, it would bring more effects when you are stronger, as the increase is percentage based. But anyway keep it up as always and it follows Fortification as well. They work the same way anyways, just that this adds damage.

Name: Bless
Category: Targeted Active HoT Comments: A good support skill that can be casted on those who need some recovery of HP and MP. The healing still works when you are stunned or silenced, so keep it up at all times if you are in a 1v1 situation. If its a mass PVP, its all up to you.

Name: Soul Siphon

Category: Targeted Active DoT/Life Drain Comments: It can be a bad or a good skill depending who you are targeting. Do note that Heretics have dark resistance and the amount of HP drained is based on the damage you do to it. So try to select targets that have lesser dark resistance for the best life leech. Usage: A good skill that could do damage and still drain back HP. If you are a Heretic that adds more Dark Attack, this might be your healing skill. But for those who prefers more Light Attack, do rely on your heal more. However, this spell would still do decent damage if you are going for Pure Spirit, so try to use it as often you can.

Name: Exorcism
Category: Targeted Active DoT/Life Drain Comments: Same as above, just that this skill drains HP by intervals. However the main difference is that this DoT effect lasts longer.

Name: Death Return

Category: AoE Nuke/De-buff Comments: Well, it reduces damage to players, but it is a great skill to get rid of monsters that are attacking you during PvP. But I guess its just that. The reduction of attack rate is great as well but due to its high consumption in XP. Try to time well as to get a winning edge.

Name: Ode of Doom

Category: AoE Damage/De-buff Comments: A great skill but it is not for doing damage. The paralyze effect is great though. But then again, it is all about when you use it. Combine with other allied Heretics for a longer effect.

Name: Holy Verdict

Category: Targeted Nuke Comments: Important and might not be important, this skill does Light Damage. I would think most players will have fire and ice resistances up, but I might be wrong. In the case where they ignore light resistances and went for fire or ice or both, this spell would work great on them. But then again, the damage from this spell is still pretty average as compared to the others. Usage: I feel that it is common sense but, you have to know that fellow Heretics that are PvPing you have resistances to light as well. So do not use at them unless you have no other targets.
