Project Plan Draft (PP): Softcopy of project plan submitted to Project Manager Dr. Tim
Ferris by 5 a.m. 25th August, 2006. The document includes the following

• Work Breakdown Structure.

• Statement of Needs.

Requirements Specification draft (RS): Softcopy of requirement specifications draft


submitted to Project Manager Dr. Tim Ferris by 5 a.m. 25th August, 2006. The document
includes the following
• Requirement Identifiers
• Requirement Descriptions
• Priority
• Traceability
• Group
• Verification

Feasibility Study (FS): Softcopy of feasibility study submitted to System group by 5


a.m. 1st September, 2006.

Functional Analysis (FA): Softcopy of functional analysis submitted to System Group


by 5 a.m. 15th September, 2006. The document includes the following
• Functional component constructed from requirement specification
• Functions categorized into different levels corresponding to requirements
• Requirement specification re-evaluation if needed.

System Design (SD): Softcopy of system design submitted to System Group by 5 a.m.
29th September, 2006. The document includes the following
• Subsystem & system design to satisfy each functional component
• Requirement specification and functional analysis re-evaluation if needed.

Test Plan (TP): Softcopy of system test plan submitted to System Group by 5 a.m. 13th
October, 2006. The document includes the following
• Sub system test plan for each facilities
• Integrated test plan for overall system

Portfolio Report (PR): Softcopy of portfolio report submitted to System Group by 5


a.m. 20th October, 2006.

Final Report (FR): Softcopy of overall project document submitted to Project Manager
Dr. Tim Ferris by 5 a.m. 27th October, 2006. The document includes the following
• Final integrated project document

Organizational Structure
The “Joy Flight to Space” project is conducted by a group of 13 engineering students
which are divided into four groups’ i.e. System, Technical, Non technical and safety.

Project Manager (Dr. Tim Ferris): is in charge of monitoring deliverables from the
whole team, ensuring the team progressing on the right track.

System group( Kyran McGlasson, Kamiran Pillay and Ullash Tiwari): is in charge of
coordinating and monitoring the overall system; their work involves in direct
communicating, negotiating with overall project manager – Dr Tim Ferris, chairing the
meetings, managing remaining group’s progress and integrating the final unified
documentation.
Technical group (Jun Zhou, Xuan Guo, Tam Ha Vu, and Min Ting Gladys Yong): is
responsible for researching, evaluating possible solutions to satisfy customer’s need and
at the same time to meet industrial standards and regulations.

Non technical group (Shobban Shingadia, Ashton D’sa and Sadichha Kafle): is
responsible for seeking means to support and enhance customer needs that related to
human resource, marketing, support facilities, legal regulation.

Safety group (Fan Sheng Kong, Tom Zhen Yu Wang and Koh Kheow): is responsible to
ensure safety of customers, passengers, staffs and to eliminate any critical risk that could
occur.
