Project Proposed: CONSUMER PERCEPTION FOR SELECTION OF AUTOMOBILE

Description of Project in brief:


My project was to map the Indian consumer perception regarding selection of Four Wheelers (Cars) and Two Wheelers in Indian passenger car industry,

Objective of the Project


1) 2) To know the consumer perception regarding selection of particular automobile. To know the effectiveness of various variables for selection of an automobile

Methodology:
For undertaking any project it is necessary to adopt a systematic research methodology. Research methodology is a plan of action to be carried out in connection with a research project. The present study was descriptive in nature which studied the consumer perception regarding selection of four wheelers (car) and two wheelers. After deciding these specific objectives of the study undertaken and the information needed, the next step was to plan the procedure of achieving these objectives. The option was to conduct door to door survey of the consumer for Primary information and Secondary information.

Schedule:

07th December, 07 07th January 07 Study on the consumer perception and development of an approach to the project through secondary research. 08th January 07 25th February Framing the parameters for carrying out the research and collecting the data from consumer chosen for the study. Analysis of the data and doing a comparison of the two wheelers and four wheelers industry and identifying the challenges for the Automobile Industry

26th February 07 till submission

Limitations of the Study: 1. Though, no effort was spread to make the study most accurate and useful, the sample size selected for the same may not be the true representative of the whole market universe, resulting in biased results. 2. Although all attempts were made to make this an objective study, business on the part of respondents might have resulted in some subjectivity. 3. This being the maiden experience of the researcher of the researcher of conducting study such as this, the possibility of better results, using deeper statistical techniques in analyzing and interpreting data may not be ruled out.
