Dunagan Test Set

The Dunagan Test Set is used in the determination of specific gravity and absorption of fine and coarse aggregates. In addition, silt determination and analysis of the constituents of fresh concrete can be made using the equipment supplied. Furnished complete, the set also includes a large container with cover for washing materials during field tests and for use in transporting the equipment. A short stirrup and weighing pan are included for dry weighing; such as for making sieve analysis of aggregates for use in concrete.

ELE Buoyancy Balance (8,000 g)

The ELE 8,000 gram capacity Buoyancy Balance system is designed for use in determining the particle density (specific gravity) of aggregates between 63 mm and 5 mm. A mechanical lifting device is used to raise the water tank and immerse the specimen suspended below the balance. Rock Classification Hammer

Lightweight and portable, with carrying case. Includes rubbing stone for surface preparation.
This lightweight and portable impact hammer is used for rock classification tests. The hammer is similar to a device used for many years for strength classification tests of mass concrete. Cylindrical cores, usually NW size, are held in a horizontal position and the hammer mechanism impacted against the core to obtain rebound readings. A series of readings is taken along the length of the core to get the average rebound number.

The strength of rock can be quickly determined in the field on core or irregular lump samples by using the Digital Point Load Tester.The frame, loading jack and digital readout are supplied as an integral unit mounted on the base of the carrying case.
