Present classroom commands showing flash cards.

Present and review classroom showing flash cards. Write on the board useful phrases such as May I come in? Read them aloud for the students to repeat. Students write the phrases into their notebooks and illustrate them.

Volunteer go to the board and acts out a classroom object and the rest of the class guesses it.

Show flashcards to review vocabulary.

Practice

Throw a ball to some students and ask Whats your name.

Use TPR to practice classroom commands.

When students get finished, name the object and the color. Have the students color the picture. Show flashcards once again and ask Whats this? What color is it?

Write the numbers 1 10 on the board. Read the number words several times for the students repeat. Have the students write the appropriate number next to the word into their notebooks.

Divide the board into 4 sections. An then write: three books, ten pencils, 7 crayons and 1 teacher in each square. Have the students copy the statements and draw pictures.

Circle the number Have the students write the numerals 1 10 on into their notebooks. Then say Circle the number (2) and so on. Invite volunteer to the activity on the board.
