smooth muscle of prostatic capsule. Common side effects
Dizziness, headache, weakness, drowsiness, mental
depression syncope, first-dose orthostatic hypotension,
palpitations
Interactions with other patient drugs, OTC or herbal Lab value alterations caused by medicine
medicines (ask patient specifically) May cause elevated serum sodium levels.
Additive hypotension with acute ingestion of alcohol,
other antihypertensives or nitrates. Be sure to teach the patient the following about this
medication
Continue taking medicine even when feeling well. Take at
the same time every day. Do not double doses. Follow diet
and exercise routine. Change positions slowly, may cause
dizziness.
