Dharma Study – for those who value the interdependence of life: People and Planet

Dharma Study is an independent forum set up by Study

Direct.

We are here to support and benefit individuals: we aim to

help their communities to orient themselves, understand,
consider and respond effectively to the demands of living
in times of change.

As Buddhist practitioners, we understand that faced with

issues and concerns it is not necessarily to government or
institutions, universities or academics, politicians or
leaders that we have to turn to.

As men and women, as members of community we can

look to other sources of help: those around us, the
marketplace, our communities – as well as our own unique response as citizens of
the planet.

We invite you to the Spirit of Life Centre, SOL Community on the Mani Peninsula,
Greece to explore practical community responses based on Dharma practice and
informed by Buddhist political ecology. We welcome members of Agora Forum
from the UK.

“Agora” is the Greek word for “marketplace”. SOL Community supports the values
and traditions of citizenship, participation and open society that made Greece the
“cradle of democracy” in its early days. The challenges we face, as citizens of the
planet, demonstrate it is time now for us to achieve together what we cannot
achieve alone.

SOL Community @ Eco-Campus, The Spirit of Life Centre,

Mani, Greece, welcomes thinkers and entrepreneurs, eco-
visionaries and scientists, artists, writers and teachers as
well as creative specialists, ecologists and all those whose
livelihood depends on Nature.

We comprise a network of members and specialists that

you can be introduced to, in order to meet, exchange
ideas, listen, collaborate and share ideas and contacts that
may be relevant to your career, enterprise or
organisational needs.

SOL Community
We invite those who want to comprise a network of like-
minded people - Community members and their friends who share positive values
and ethos.
We offer people the chance to live, work, study and do business with each other
from a position of respect, based not on manipulation or greed, but co-
operatively, with regard to the interests of People and Planet.

The services we offer

Our key points of specialisation are: people-ready organisation, sustainable
business development, eco-living, work-life balance, ethical enterprise, Social
Enterprise and community regeneration.

Our points of reference

Take a look at our points of reference: some of the people who inspire us, the
organisations whose values we share.

“To know what is going on, takes sense. To know what to do about it, takes wisdom”.
