The RRDCTA Championship Show is open to the entire horse community. Even non-members are invited to compete at this show. The only classes that you must qualify to ride in are those marked as Championship Classes. The show will have regular dressage and combined tests as well. All scores earned at the Championship show will be counted when calculating year end awards. Just like at the USDF regional championships, this show will be double judged, and all riders (even those NOT in the championship classes) will receive two tests for every class they enter- getting two sets of comments from the judges. Scores will be averaged to determine placings but will be recorded individually for year end awards. Riders may enter a regular class as well as the championship class. Example, a rider may enter the Training Level Championship Test 3 and compete in the regular Training Level Test 3 class as well.

Changes made to qualifications for Innaugural Championship Classes: As this is the first year of RRDCTA competition, the board has voted to change the qualifications to compete in the championship classes. In addition, volunteer requirements for 2011 have been lifted. Dressage: A minimum of three scores in any test (1, 2, or 3) of one level received at an RRDCTA show, ONE must be 60% or higher. The championship test will be the highest test of the level. For example, even if you got your qualifying score of 60% at Training Level Test 1, you will ride Training Level Test 3 in the championship class. The only exception to this is Intro Level, which will ride Intro B for the championship. Riders and owners must be members at the time scores are received. Combined Training: A minimum of two scores received at an RRDCTA show in one division, ONE must be 40 or lower. Riders and owners must be members at the time scores are received. Sport Horse In Hand: A minimum score of 60% received at an RRDCTA show. Handlers and owners must be members at the time scores are received. Ride Times: All times are to be considered tentative. Competitors showing three or more horses do so at their own risk. While show management will try to allow adequate time between rides, we can not guarantee a certain amount of time. Refunds will not be given if times are not satisfactory. Ride Times will be made available January 27, 2011. Unless indicated otherwise on your entry, ride times will be sent via email. Attire/Equipment: Attire should be neat and workman-like. Colors must be conservative. Equipment rules described by the USEF will be followed for all classes. ASTM/SEI approved helmets must be worn by ANY rider schooling or competing over fences. Show attire is encouraged for riders competing in championship classes.
