John the Baptist brought repentance to the masses (making them beneficiaries of salvation)
Mt Lk
11:12-15; There are many parallels in Lk between Jesus and John. In fact John first
21:28-32; brings the Gospel to the masses (3:10-18 i.e. brings repentance to crowds,
sinners & tax collectors; see also Lk 7:29-30 i.e. Pharisees rejected
John/Gospel). Jesus preaches the Gospel in the Temple (20:1-8).
I can see no reason for Lk to omit Mt 21:28-32.
