BIOGAS We are into the business of converting Waste to Energy through our offered Biogas Plants.

These Biogas Plants are designed to generate energy from liquid and solid wastes. We are also specializing in canteen waste treatment plants, combined sewage and canteen waste treatment plants etc. We have Biogas plants from 4 Kg to 400 tons waste per day. We are also reckoned for the supply MSW (Municipal Solid Waste) treatment plants for power generation. Liquid wastes - We have plants to treat liquid wastes like Industrial Effluents, Sewage, Dairy, Distillery, Sugar, Solid wastes like kitchen, canteen, poultry, cow dung, food processing and agricultural wastes Semisolid wastes like slaughter house effluent, steep liquor, sorbitol, starch washings Biogas Types : Small Biogas Medium Biogas Municipal Solid Waste Biogas (MSW Biogas)

Small Biogas The impending scarcity of petroleum threatens the world's fuel supply, mankind can face this threat successfully with the help of biogeneous methane, but the world is prevented from taking full advantage of this technology, because its practitioners ignore the basic tenet of science, namely that output of work is dependent on the energy available for doing that work. The current practice of using low calorie inputs like cattle dung, distillery effluent, municipal solid waste or sewerage, makes methane generation highly inefficient. By using feedstock having high calorific and nutritive value to microbes, the efficiency of methane generation can be increased by several orders of magnitude.

Advantages of Biogas: Smokeless cooking gas Manure as a byproduct Decentralization of energy generation Environmental balance / Pollution control General Specifications: 1.Biogas Plants are the first portable plants anywhere in the world 2.Molded in one tough piece by state of the art Rotational Molding process manufactured from Grade

Basic Qualities: 1.Molded in one touch piece 2.Leak proof and strong 3.Light weight and easy to carry anywhere 4.Special bottom design for use on ground or underground 5.Easy to shift as per needs 6.Tested and tried for use under toughest of the conditions 7.Easy to repair in case of accidental damage 8.Designated to last for decades 9.Made in UV stabilized black color for higher absorption of heat Just 2 Kg of such feedstock produces about 500g of methane, and the reaction is completed within 24 hours. The conventional biogas system, using cattle dung, distillery effluent, municipal solid waste, sewerage etc. use 40 Kg feedstock to produce the same quality of methane and they require about 40 days completing the reaction. It is an extremely user-friendly system, because it requires daily only a couple of kg feedstock, and the disposal of daily just 5 liters of effluent slurry. Methane burns with a blue flame, without producing any smoke or soot. It is therefore an environmental friendly cooking system. In rural India, women generally burn traditional fuel such as agro waste, woody biomass, and cattle dung in their cook stoves. These fuels produce pollutants in the form of smoke, soot, and carbon monoxide. Large quantities of oilcake of non-edible oilseeds are already available in India. Their availability is likely to increase in future as the production of bio-diesel from non-edible oils takes off. Banana rhizomes are another category of raw material, which remains unutilized today. Similarly, kernels and seeds of citrus, litchi, mango, tamarind etc. are available in large quantities with the respective fruit processing industries. Farmers always have rain damaged or insect damaged grain, spoilt fruits, rhizomes etc. that can be used as feedstock in this biogas system.

The treated water can be used directly in your garden as it has excellent organically rich fertilizer properties and no foul smell or can be connected to the existing drains 13.The size of our plant is very compact, can be installed in the area close to the generation of waste, and is fully automated. The Principle:

The basic concept of our design is based on a process known as Upward Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) developed by Dr. Lettingah in the Netherlands. Brief Process Description: The entire treatment plant is essentially one big tank split into 3 sections - anaerobic digestion section, aeration section and filtration section. A treated water storage tank would be required to store the treated water as per your requirements. Anaerobic digestion section: All the food waste is brought to the shredder and loading table. The segregated waste is further sorted on the loading platform, loaded into the shredder along with water, and converted into slurry form. The slurry is connected to the inlet chamber. The sewage water is brought by gravity to the inlet chamber. The inlet chamber has a bar screen of size 2 m x 1 m x 1.2 m depth below invert to prevent plastics, metal, glass and other biodegradable material from entering the anaerobic digester. The inlet chamber is connected to the anaerobic digester. The anaerobic digester is made in RCC with top cover in MS reinforced FRP. The anaerobic digester contains internal proprietary modules made in FRP reinforced with Mild Steel. It has internal baffles, partitions and launders for anaerobic treatment & reduction in BOD and COD levels takes place. Aeration section: The aeration tank is made in RCC. A twin lobe blower of 100-m3/ hr capacity carries out aeration. Proprietary diffusers and module system made in FRP reinforced with Mild Steel carry out aeration. It is completely covered with top cover in MS reinforced FRP. Filtration section: The aerated water is then pumped with a Kirloskar 10 m3 / hr flow rate pump into a dual media filter (DMF). It contains dual media filter bed inside for removal of residual suspended solids. The operating

pressure is maintained at 3.5 kg / cm2. The DMF is provided with a backwash arrangement and multi port valve. The water is then passed through Chlorination system. It comprises of chlorine contact chamber, dosing tank and pumps. The dosage will be decided at site and may vary from time to time depending on the effluent quality. The treated water can be stored and used for landscaping, gardening. Biogas utilization system: Which consists of biogas storage in neoprene rubber balloon with enclosure room and its subsequent utilization in canteen as a cooking fuel? Biogas Compression system, piping, safety items, automation items and two burners will be provided.

Control panel: Made in Mild Steel with powder coating, which houses all the switchgear, indication lamps, and automanual control for complete operation of the plan.

Municipal Solid Waste Biogas Plant

Advantages of Biogas Plant: 1.Installation of our biogas plant will enable you to very conveniently treat your entire biodegradable waste and thereby maintain a clean, hygienic, pollution free environment and also avoid all hassles of storage and transportation of waste 2.Hygienic surrounding and airtight top covers for the system, hence no smell and foul odor from this system 3.No flies and mosquitoes problem, birds and stray dogs, cattle menace and also no rats and rodents problem 4.Electricity requirement is very low 5.Water consumption is very low 6.Saving in terms of transport and labor costs for disposal of above waste from source of generation to the disposal site 6.Biogas, a renewable source of non-conventional energy generated, is proportional to the waste loaded per day 7.Maintenance cost is low since the operation of the equipment is periodic 8.We also undertake annual operation and maintenance contract or only preventive maintenance contract on separate mutually agreed terms and conditions 9.The biogas produced provides smoke free fuel to your kitchen, can be used to fire boilers or for electricity generation 10.The government has allowed 100% depreciation in the year of installation for this non-conventional

source of energy and environmentally friendly waste disposal system 11.The high quality manure generated, which would be weed less can be used directly in your garden as it has excellent organically rich fertilizer properties and no foul smell 12.The size of our plant is very compact, can be installed in the area close to the generation of waste

The Principle: Biomass in any form is ideal for the Bio-methane concept, which is the central idea of the Nisargruna Biogas plants. BARC Mumbai based on thermophilic microorganisms and microbial processes develop the design of the biogas plant. The plant is completely gravity based.

Brief process description:

The segregated wet garbage (food waste) is brought to the plant site in bins and containers. It is loaded on a sorting platform and residual plastic, metal; glass and other non-biodegradable items are further segregated. The waste is loaded into a Waste Crusher along with water, which is mounted on the platform. The food waste slurry mixed with hot water is directly charged into the Primary digester. This digester serves mainly as hydrolysis cum acidification tank for the treatment of suspended solids. For breaking slag compressed air is used for agitation of slurry. Compressed air will also help in increasing aeration since bacteria involved in this tank are aerobic in nature. The tank is designed in such a way that after the system reaches equilibrium in initial 4-5 days, the fresh slurry entering the tank will displace equal amount of digested matter from top into the main digester tank. Main digester tank serves as a methane fermentation tank and BOD reduction takes place here. The treated overflow from this digester is connected to the manure pits. This manure can be supplied to farmers at the rate of 4-5 Rs. per Kg. Alternatively municipal gardens and local gardens can be assured of regular manure from this biogas plant. The biogas is collected in a dome (Gasholder) is a drum like structure, fabricated of either mild steel sheets or fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP). It fits like a cap on the mouth of digester where it is submerged in the water and rests in the ledge, constructed inside the digester for this purpose. The drum collects gas, which is produced from the slurry inside the digester, as it gets decomposed and rises upward, being lighter than air. 1 GI piping will be provided up to a distance of 50 m from the Biogas plant. Biogas burners will be provided. The biogas can be used for cooking, heating, and power generation purpose.
