If you would not want your preferred GOP candidate to debate NEWT in a LincolnDouglas style debate (7 debates 3 hours) is that the person we want against Obama?

Funny that NOW and feminists had nothing to say when

Clinton was president.

John Powledge on Stockbridge Elections

Admittedly the new city council will have to work hard to overcome some personal differences to accomplish results. However, without replacing the old city council who obviously wasn't getting the job done (I guess they thought fighting with the mayor was more important than making the city a better place to live and work), we surely would not get the results we all want. So, indeed this is a victory for the people. Now let's hold them accountable! One last thing though. It is not the job of government at any level to create jobs. Government creates little or nothing of intrinsic worth anyway. What government can do is help business (the real engine of job creation) by cutting taxes, reducing regulatory burden, and basically getting out of the way so business can create jobs. This is the problem we have on the federal level. Obama and the Dems haven't done anything that will help business and therefore nothing that will help create jobs.

The vote on the E-SPLOST was a David and Goliath event. E-SPLOST backers included the Chamber of
Commerce, a Cherokee Bank President, an internal school campaign, elected officials including city Mayors and council members. In some cases, giving as much as $10,000. Even a local paper editorialized in favor of the ESPLOST. Those opposed to the E-SPLOST were just a group of ordinary citizens, with no budget and no official backing. But what they lacked in money and influence, they made up for with heart, waving at cars with their homemade signs. Illustrated by these two pictures. One, a picture of two signs, one by the E-SPLOST backers costing $100 to $200?? Each, located beside a homemade TEA Party B&W sign costing .08 cents. That is not a misprint, the backing for this sign is a discarded political sign, turned inside out, with a photo copy of a computer generated sign scotch taped to it-cost .08 cents. David Cosby, Canton TEA Party Patriot and board member, stated that, despite the lack of a formal campaign and the late entrance of the TEA Party weighing in on the E-SPLOST proposal, the TEA Party reduced the margin the E-SPOST won by nearly 20% (54 46%), down from the lopsided victory for the 2006 E-SPLOST vote of 72% to 28%. Tuesdays election saw the E-SPOST support eroded by a large margin. Cosby observed, This significant shift, with little or no money or campaign organization demonstrates the strength of the TEA Party influence. Further, the people want a conservative approach to spending, cutbacks in government and a reduction of county debt. He added, Our message resonated with the Cherokee families struggling to make ends meet.

From Our Chairman .... Congratulations to CCRP members who have been elected to leadership positions in the newly forming 11th Congressional District at an organizational meeting mandated by the recent redistricting process. At the meeting, held on Tuesday, November 8, three of our members were elected to office: John Wallace, a long time worker in local and statewide Republican issues was elected to the position as Chairman of the new 11th Congressional District Committee.

Devoted and ever involved Helmut Baxter was elected to serve as First Vice Chairman of the District Committee. Barbara Baxter who has served the Party for 20 years was elected to serve the new District Committee as Assistant Treasurer. All three of the aforementioned are serving on the current CCRP Executive Board. The Cherokee County Republican Party is indeed proud of these three devoted members. Their dedication is what Republicanism is all about.

Nov. 10, 2011

Local Network Leading The Way Into On-Demand Internet Television McDonough, Georgia SBN.TV announced this week that it will be phasing out its limited cable-based broadcasting and focusing exclusively on the more expansive and viewer-centric Web TV format. Having already established itself as popular Internet Television Network, SBN.TV will cease utilizing local access cable in favor of the more flexible on-demand online broadcast system on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011.

For 10 years SBN.TV has been providing quality local programming to their community through the local cable system, reaching a diverse audience in 6 counties and numerous cities in the southern metro area of Atlanta, Georgia. While producing an impressive array of successful and compelling programs that showcased local issues and viewpoints, the limitations imposed by cable provision meant that only about half the population had viewing access. Since launching the web TV version earlier this year, SBN.TV has expanded their outreach substantially by making their broadcasts available to 100% of the local community, all of Georgia, the US, and the world.

VISIT www.SBN.TV
Already ranked in the top 1% of websites in America, SBN.TV found itself uniquely positioned to be amongst the first innovative networks to seriously rethink the idea that traditional broadcast venues are, by default, the best way to deliver the most value to the most viewers. With more and more people using their smart phones, Ipads, and other devises to view news, shows, and movies; and with more and more televisions being equipped with internet connectivity options, the answer is clearly changing, and it is changing rapidly. As we move forward in the digital age, the needs and preferences of television audiences are changing, and SBN.TV is embracing that change. We are very excited not just about the future, but about what we are doing right now to bring TV to your computer, phone, tablet and IPTV. says Chuck Peterson, SBN.TV CFO. We now broadcast to a much larger audience than you may have realized. SBN.TV programs are being seen right now, and can be seen at any moment, not just at a certain time, in a certain area. Viewers will still find all their favorites, which they can now watch at their convenience, not just in their homes but anywhere they have access to the internet. Programs like The Art Corner with Sonja Vass profiling national, regional and local artists; Good Day Southside with Chris Vaughn and Chairman B.J. Mathis focusing on life, community, and politics in the southern crescent; Your Family Live from Focus on the Family; The Agenda with Ray McBerry featuring cutting edge political commentary and thoughtful perspectives on hot news topics; and The Business Spotlight, which focuses on business success stories and organizations that make a difference in our community; will all continue to provide a regional view of the topics that concern us all. Moving forward, plan on seeing even more exciting content and enhanced programming as SBN.TV focuses all its resources on developing the new format. Advertisers will also benefit from this evolutionary step. In addition to dramatically increased audience levels, SBN.TVs online format will have many more customized options for maximizing the buyers advertising dollar. According to Franklin, SBN.TV IT Specialist, More than just commercials, we can now offer banners, links, popup advertisements, event sponsorship, live broadcasting, targeted broadcasting, and much more. Judy Peterson, SBN.TV President, adds, "Well soon be offering other television stations under the SBN.TV umbrella, and plans are currently underway to open other economic markets in the Metro Atlanta Area. This allows sponsors and advertisers an expanded opportunity to showcase their products to more consumers at a lesser cost." As the network continues to launch more targeted advertising opportunities, advertisers will see greater and greater returns on their investment. Internet entertainment outlets like Netflix, YouTube, and Hulu have altered the way people think about television. Trends in electronic manufacturing are leaning heavily toward web-enabled televisions, and internet connectivity devises are already being sold for existing sets. Experts overwhelmingly agree that these separate mediums will soon merge. Considering that every major cable operator in the U.S. lost TV subscribers during the third quarter of 2011, it would seem that the future is now. Bold industry leaders like SBN.TV are positioned to be the pioneers leading the charge to the front of the television marketplace. Its sure to be an exciting time for all. You can watch the story unfold yourself (in real

time!) at SBN.TV.

Everyone seems to be wondering why Muslim terrorists are so quick to commit suicide.
Lets have a look at the evidence: - No Christmas - No television -No nude women -No football - No pork chops - No hot dogs - No burgers -No beer -No bacon - Rags for clothes - Towels for hats -Constant wailing from some idiot in a tower - More than one wife More than one mother in law - You can't shave - Your wife can't shave - You can't wash off the smell of donkey -You cook over burning camel dung - Your wife is picked by someone else for you - and your wife smells worse than your donkey Then they tell you that "when you die, it all gets better"?? DUH,Sherlock!....It's not like it could get much worse.

Shirley Tyree This morning as I raked and composted my leaves for over 2.5 hours I thought how great it was to be an American. We voted for and passed the education SPLOSH with a 67% majority and as responsible conservative I paid the 1 cents since I did my own yard. I also picked up pecans and I got my work out to save on healthcare cost so then I thought I maybe right wing conservative since I probably made a profit. haha. How I got to go to work and look at a house for a client.

BETTY PARTAIN BOREN LEAGUE A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales. The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small. The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale. Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human; it was physically impossible. The little girl said, 'When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah'. The teacher asked, 'What if Jonah went to hell?' The little girl replied, 'Then you ask him'.

29 Days and Counting

29 days and counting until our "Gathering on the Constitution" in Mentone, AL on December
10.

Listen to our Founders and others as you decide if you should attend this Gathering:
"I know of no safe depository of the ultimate powers of society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control..., the remedy is not to take it from them but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power." Thomas Jefferson "Do not separate text from historical background. If you do, you will have perverted and subverted the Constitution, which can only end in a distorted, bastardized form of illegitimate government." James Madison "The Constitution on which our union rests, shall be administered by me according to the safe and honest meaning contemplated by the plain understanding of the people of the United States, at the time of its adoption,-a meaning to be found in the explanations of those who advocated (it) These explanations are preserved in the publications of the time, and are too recent in the memories of most men to admit of question. Thomas Jefferson, as President Our founding Fathers crafted a system that placed liberty above power. They did so with the knowledge that citizens play THE vital role in their own liberty in a free society. Dr. Timothy Johnson

For Gingrich, A Slow And Steady Climb To The Top

I think gradually I'm getting more and more rewarded, if you will, by support for having a serious, substantive approach to how do we govern America. - GOP presidential candidate and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich History is a recurring theme with Gingrich. He peppers his remarks with historical anecdotes and factoids. And hearing him is a little like sitting in on a survey class of world and American history. Not surprising, since Gingrich used to teach such a course before getting into politics. Gingrich spoke Thursday night at a candidates' forum in southern New Hampshire sponsored by the Granite State Patriots Liberty PAC. Along with history, Gingrich also addressed current events. He dismissed the congressional supercommittee trying to cut the deficit in Washington as a failure. He blasted the Obama administration for actively opposing anti-immigration laws passed by Arizona and Alabama. And he criticized the House Republicans, whom he used to lead, for not fighting back. "The idea of the Obama administration filing a lawsuit against an American state is just simply unimaginable," he said. "And the fact that we have not introduced an amendment and cut off all funding to the Justice Department to finance this, I think is just a failure of imagination among the House Republicans to understand: Cut off the money." Gingrich brought the group to its feet when the moderator asked him what he sees as the biggest constitutional failing of the Obama administration. Gingrich answered: "Not understanding which country he's president of."

Tea Party Patriots vs. Amy Kremer

"Today, in Cobb County Georgia, twelve jurors agreed with what Tea Party Patriots have been saying all along in its protracted litigation with Amy Kremer; Ms. Kremer's claims of "owning" the Tea Party Patriots intellectual property for her personal benefit had no merit. We are pleased to put this litigation behind us and to move forward with our efforts to help grassroots activists take back the nation for its citizens." Debbie Dooley

Gingrich Moves Into Top Tier of GOP 2012 Candidates

Newt Gingrich has moved into the top tier of Republican presidential candidates, according to two national polls released Friday. The rise of the ex-House speaker comes as other candidates in the race encounter hurdles. Businessman Herman Cain spent the last two weeks fending off sexual harassment allegations. Texas Gov. Rick Perry capped off a string of shaky debate performances with an awkward moment Wednesday when he couldn't remember the three Cabinet departments he wants to eliminate.
