INNOVATIVE & PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS for DENTAL IMPLANTS

Identification of Angulation Problems

Restorations cannot be placed on angled abutments. Abutments must be parallel with each other.

Current devices cannot reliably achieve this.

Providing an Innovative Solution to Angulation Problems

A 4 piece system which always ensures perfect parallelism of the abutments

Only prerequisite lies in vertical placement of the implant bodies

Introduction to System Components

Unlimited Options To Compensate For Angulation

AS EASY AS

System Components: Permatooth Transmucosal Collar

1 Left-Hand Threaded
Transmucosal Collar

Implant specific for internal, external hex or octagonal designs Extended flanges 1-3 millimeters from left-hand thread Single unit crowns engage flanges for anti-rotational security

System Components: Fixation Screw

2 Right-Hand Threaded
Fixation Screw

Titanium construction Implant specific Right-hand threads wont loosen against internal surfaces of left-hand threaded mounting Titanium construction bases

System Components: Permatooth Mounting Base

3 Left-Hand Threaded
Mounting Bases

Made of precious metals Three varieties for optimum design flexibility and control over angulation

Once installed, fixation screw cannot loosen

System Components: Abutment

4 Angled Abutments

Can be prefabricated or castable Prefabricated abutments can be affixed to the mounting base, or custom cast in the lab Multiple abutments can always be aligned parallel to each other giving total angulation control

Criteria for Selecting a Mounting Head

How far can the Mounting Head extend above the tissue? Mounting Heads with flanges are used where irregular tissue contour must be followed to create a gingival finishing line for crowns. Flat Mounting Head surfaces can be technician altered in the horizontal plane from 1 degree to any reasonable maximum. Cylindrical and Conical Heads are Optimal

Criteria for Selecting a Mounting Head

Is the Transmucosal Collar subgingival? Cylindrical Head is optimal if subgingival. Conical Head is optimal if there is protrusion through the gingiva. Spherical Head is best for all-purpose angulation solutions.

Sample Cases
Transmucosal collars with fixation screws in place.

Spherical mounting heads attached on another restoration.

Sample Cases

Perfect anatomically, hygienically & functionally correct restoration.

Current Status and the Future

Developed in partnership with the Canadian National Research Council (CNRC). FDA REGISTERED In licensing negotiation with other technology holders for development of compatible implant bodies utilizing new dental materials under development.

Review of Permatooth System

January 28, 2008
We were greatly honoured to speak with Dr. Gordon Christensen DDS, MDS, PhD, CRA Oral Health Institute about the Permatooth Mounting System.

Dr. Christiansen was in town as a keynote speaker for the 124th Manitoba Dental Association Annual Convention and was good enough to spend a couple of hours to offer some first impressions.
We are optimistic with Dr. Christiansens review of the Permatooth Implant Mounting system. He left us with these encouraging words It is a very impressive system and one that appears to have significant potential.
