What is CPR Emergency response is a term for a series of appropriate actions and precautions in the event of a disaster. No matter the type of catastrophe, proper emergency response can protect family members and even save lives. CPR (or cardiopulmonary resuscitation) is a combination of rescue breathing (mouthto-mouth resuscitation) and chest compressions. If someone isn't breathing or circulating blood adequately, CPR can restore circulation of oxygen-rich blood to the brain. Without oxygen, permanent brain damage or death can occur in less than 8 minutes. CPR consists of DRCAB D Danger R Response C- Compression A Airway B Breathing

is unable to breathe is gasping or wheezing is unable to talk, cry, or make noise turns blue grabs at his or her throat or waves arms appears panicked becomes limp or unconscious

Summary Basically this course is very important to us that exposed to accident in our working environment. Based on what we learn, it help to save human life and know how to act when it happen. This knowledge teaches us how to do CPR when human cannot breathe or unconscious. Fast action need and the procedure must follow to make sure human life is saved. We also exposed the type of burn, fracture and choking. Every single accident has difference procedure. For example, burns include three types of burns which are 1st degree, 2nd degree and 3rd degree. This is important to us to know what type of burn before we do something. If not, we can make it become worse. So I this course is important and every employee should take this opportunity as their knowledge for future reference when accident happen. PREVENT IS BETTER THAN CURE.
