Childrens Christmas Musical

December 4 at 6:00 p.m. in The Commons Presented by Chaparrals own 1st - 5th grade students. Cookie and cider to follow. Its just before Christmas and the tree ornaments have been awakened from their yearly hibernation by the movement of their storage box. Its time! As they begin to prepare for another season on the Watsons Christmas tree, they are greeted by a rather strange and un-Christmassy ornament: A Hula-Girl. The Star, the Snowman, the Angel and others give her a rather cool reception until another signicant gure from the mantelpiece shows up to explain to all of them what Christmas is about and how they each have signicance in Gods amazing plan of redemption through His Son, Jesus.

To encourage generosity and a giving heart, the childrens ministry will have all the offerings our elementary kids bring from now until December 18th go to World Vision. The children will be able to choose something that will benet children around the world from providing chickens, bibles, fresh water...our kids will be able to see their giving at work!!! Please encourage your child(ren) to bring an offering to their Sunday school class each week. It will bring them greater joy to give if they work for their offering. What a wonderful way to explain Gods love for all of us in giving his most generous gift, Jesus.

Club 45 - Follow the Star Childcare & Angel Tree at the Mall!
Calling all 4th and 5th graders! Each year our parents and students in Club 45 volunteer their time to oversee the infants and toddlers of the people who are part of the FTS program. It is a great way to volunteer AND if you do, we will take the money we would have spent on childcare and go to the mall to pick out Angel Tree gifts! To be able to participate in the Angel Tree you need to help in the nursery. Parents - we will need 3-4 adults and 4 children each night. The times will be 6:10 until shortly after the last group goes around which is about 8:15 - 9:00. Please let Stacy know if you would like to be a part of this fun group.

Youth Group
The talent show was great and so much fun to watch! Thanks to all the performers and volunteers who made it a fantastic night. Tonight from 5-6:30 is the nal Sunday night of the semester. Join us for pizza, prizes, games and fellowship. Luminaria assembly on Sunday, December 4th, from 11-12:30. We will be ordering pizza for lunch and are inviting parents to attend. Last year we had a great group of students and a number of parents help, enabling us to nish about 1,300 luminaria in just over an hour! We hope to have as many hands on the 4th so that we may be as efcient this year. Sign up on the youth website!!

Helpful Information
We hope your worship experience with us will be meaningful. To help you feel a bit more comfortable with our campus and morning programs, we have included a few recommendations. We are glad you are here today!
We would like to get to know you! Each pew has a Welcome Book in which you can let us know prayer requests, sign up for events and update your information. Please pass the Welcome Book down the row so we can hear from everyone! Communion/Lords Supper All followers of Christ are welcome to participate in our Service of Communion. If you have prepared yourself for this very special moment with our Savior, you are invited to his table. (1 Corinthians 11:23-30) Please take the emblems as they are passed and partake when you are ready. Some prefer to take it while it is in front of them before passing it along. Offering In our first two services, a special time for giving is set aside. Participation is an act of worship and voluntary. During our third service there will not be a time specific for offering but rather boxes are placed at the entry to allow for giving as you are led. Nursery We have a friendly, well-staffed and impeccably clean nursery located on the north side of the narthex. Please see an usher for directions.
