Theme : English Language enlarges human experiences with greater understanding and compassion to nature.

Language of Nature Language is as much part of our culture as are the way we think, the way we dress, our inventions or our food. Language can be considered a reflection of our culture and since our cultural identity is dynamic, it is only natural that language should adapt to suit current cultural trends. We tend to apply the simplifications to others aspects of lives; all science has one aim, namely to find the theory of nature. When we speak of nature, we have distinct but most poetical sense in the mind. We mean the integrity of impression made by manifold natural objects. To speak truly, few adults can see nature. Most persons don not see the sun.Atleast they have superficial seeing. The sun illuminates only the eye of the man, but shines into the eye and the heart of a child. The lover of nature is he whos inward and outward senses are still truly adjusted to each other; who has retained the spirit of infancy even into the era of manhood. His intercourse with heaven and earth becomes part of his daily food. Therefore nature always wears the colors of spirit. Language is a third use which nature sub serves to man.Nature is vehble and threefold degree; 1words are signs of natural facts-to give us language for the beings and changes in the inward creation. Every word is used to express moral or intellectual fact, it traced to its root, is found to be borrowed from some material appearances. We say the heart use to express emotions, head to denote thought. Thought and emotions are word borrowed from sensible things and now appropriated to spiritual nature. Children and savages use only nouns or names of things which they convert into verbs and apply to analogous mental acts. 2 Every natural fact is a symbol of spiritual fact; particular spiritual fact is a symbol of particular natural fact.3Nature is a symbol of spirit. According to St. Augustines understandings about the essence of language is rooted in the abstract connection of verbal utterances from their internal workings or private essence. As I heard words repeatedly in proper places, in various sentences. I gradually learnt to understand what objects they signified; and after I had trained my mouth to form these signs, I used them to express my own desires. Every word has a meaning. The meaning is correlated to the word. It is the object which the word stands. Language-is a system of words used in particular discipline. This is Matthew Henrys simple advice for finding peace in troubled times, When the world burdens you ...find peace in nature! Lift your spirits in the garden. Seek the soltitude of the forest! Comfort your soul with nature! Escape to the

mountains! Seek the serenity of the lake! Refresh your spirit at the river! Comfort your soul by the sea... I used my language to speak for the nature. Mark Anjelo J. Balderama - 10-02-11 1st PLACE
