1.WhatistheprocedureofobtainingDIN? AspertherevisedprocedureforDINAllotment,anypersonintendingtoapplyforDINshallhavetomakean applicationineFormDIN1andshouldfollowthefollowingprocedure: 1.eFormDIN1hastofollowtheofflineeFilingprocess.FormoredetailsregardingthesamevisiteFilingFAQ's. 2.Attachthephotographandscannedcopyofsupportingdocumentsi.e.proofofidentity,andproofofresidence aspertheguidelines.PhysicaldocumentsarenotrequiredtosubmitatDINcell. 3.Alongwiththesupportingdocuments,verificationbytheapplicantforapplyingforallotmentofDirector IdentificationNumber(DIN)shallalsobeattached.ThisshallcontaintheName,Fathersname,dateofbirthand textofdeclarationandphysicalsignatureoftheapplicant. 4.TheeFormshallhavetobedigitallysignedandshallbeuploadedonMCA21portal. 5.Uponupload,PaythefeesforDIN1eForm.Onlyelectronicpaymentofthefeesshallbeallowed(I.e. Netbanking/CreditCard).NochallanpaymentwillbeacceptedunderrevisedprocedureofDINallotment. Theapplicantisrequiredtogethimself/herselfregisteredontheMCA21Portaltoobtainloginid,whichis necessaryforpaymentofthefees.Afterobtainingtheloginid,LogintotheMCA21portalandclickon'eForm upload'linkavailableunderthe'eForms'tabforuploadingtheeFormDIN1.eFormDIN1willbeprocessedonly aftertheDINapplicationfeeispaid. 6.Uponuploadandsuccessfulpayment, IncaseFormDIN1issignedbyapracticingprofessionalanddetailshavenotbeenidentifiedaspotential duplicate,ApprovedDINshallbegeneratedandifthedetailshavebeenidentifiedaspotentialduplicate, ProvisionalDINshallbegenrated. IncaseFormDIN1issignedbyanapplicantorbytheManagingDirector/existingdirectoroftheCompanyin whichtheapplicantisaDirectorortheCompanySecretaryinfulltimeemploymentoftheCompany,ordetails havebeenidentifiedasapotentialduplicate,provisionalDINshallbegenerated. 7.ProcessingofeFormDIN1 Incase,DIN1getscertifiedbytheprofessional(i.e.CA/CS/CWAinwholetimepractise),theDINwillbe approvedbythesystemimmediatelyonline(incaseitisnotpotentialduplicate).Incaseofsigningbyanyother signatory(i.e.director/ManagingDirector/secretaryofthecompanywithwhichapplicantistobeassociated), theMCADINcellwillexaminetheeFormDIN1andsameshallbedisposedofwithinoneortwodays. 8.IntimateapprovedDINtoyourCompanies OnapprovalofDIN,intimateyourDINtoallthecompany(ies)(withinaperiodof30daysfromthedateof approval)inwhichyouareaDirector,informDIN2.FormDIN2canbedownloadedandprintedfromthe'DIN' linkonthehomepageofMCAportal. 9.CompanytointimateyourDINtoROC AftertheDirectorhasintimatedtheDINallottedtothecompany(ies).TheCompany(ies)is/arethenrequiredto intimatetheDINsofitsdirectorstotheROCinFormDIN3withinaperiodofsevendaysofreceivingformDIN

2.(FilingofDIN3isapplicableonlyincases,wherethedateofappointmentofdirector(s)insuchcompany(ies),is priortoSeptember1,2007) 10.PostapprovalchangesinparticularsofDIN1 IfthereisanychangeintheparticularssubmittedinformDIN1,applicantcansubmiteformDIN4online.For instanceintheeventofchangeofaddressofadirector,he/sheisrequiredtointimatethischangebysubmitting eformDIN4alongwiththerequiredattesteddocuments. 2.WhatthingsshouldbetakencareofwhilefillingformDIN1?NoprefixeslikeMr./Ms./Kumari/Shrietc shouldbeusedinfillingtheapplicantsname.
