EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Friday 29, 2011 a busy and crowded afternoon at Agora superstore-tens of hundreds people are busy at shopping. All on a sudden an announcement attracted the attention of the visitors. Is there any ICON in the house? Today is a very special day for our valued ICON members. As we promised to surprise you every best possible way we can; todays shopping is completely free for you. You do your shopping and we pay your bills. ICONS feel special! This is not end of story. ICON always keeps providing such surprises to its members at several venues. It has promised to surprise its customer at every possible occasions and event. This is the first

premium telecom brand of Bangladesh. Interspeed Activation Limited is the authorized agency to promote ICON through market activations and events. However this promotion was not a always well coordinated. Due to Communication gap ICON activations and events could not be as successful as it should have been. This report will focus on Work team (ICON team of Interspeed Activation Limited) inefficiency due to lack of communication

Consulting Analysis
The purpose of our project is to materialize the opportunity to further research and an area of our understanding from the course Organizational Behavior. In order to dive deep into the problem we visited Interpeed Activation Limtied and took interview from their ICON team. Interview Questionnaire for Marketing Manager 1. What are the principle responsibilities of a Marketing Manager? 2. On what basis does a Marketing Manager build teams in case of activation projects and what was the nature of the work team in this case? 3. What is a Managers role as far as the utilization of a marketing team is concerned?

4. How important is the communication channel between the Marketing Manager and the team assigned? 5. What does a manager look into when building an efficient work force? 6. During your last brand activation project, ICON, there were some problems as far as the team was concerned. Who or what caused this discrepancy? 7. What role does a Manager play in situations such as the one stated above? 8. What was the nature of the discrepancy? 9. What preventive measures can a Manager take to avoid further work team problems? 10.Could you briefly explain the nature of communication between the Manager and the task force and the current problems that a Manager faces in terms of communicating information to employees in the status quo? Managing the organizational and technological Organizational Interface. Brand promotion vision and tactics was not clearly communicated to the ICON team of Interspeed Activation Limited During the activation ICON team member could not maintain coherence in their respective responsibilities It was more likely a wheel small group network as result every member of the team has to communicate with the Team Supervisor personally. Consequently, they could not enjoy much freedom and also they did not get enough power to take decision by themselves.

Since, almost all decision has to be rectified by the Brand Supervisor. This contributed to dissatisfaction among the team members. These team members are from different universities. Therefore, inferiority or superiority complex. Activation briefs are done through verbal presentation; it creates misunderstanding among the team members. Because when message are transmitted to another person through oral communication there are high chances of misinterpretations. Activation and event schedule are announced through e-mail. It is a common problem for all of us to check mail regularly and some of them could not know the proper time and venue of the activation or events.

Research instruments
We got above data through formal interview. At first, we took interview from each of the team members separately. We could talk to 7 employees of Interspeed Activation Limited. REPORT: COLLECTION OF RAW DATA: At first, we collected the raw data from provided report of INTERSPEED like the TURNOVER REPORT, ANNUAL REPORT, and HR MANUAL etc. FILTERING: Then we summarized the report analysis that was helpful for getting an overview of those report which were easier for relating to our thesis. PREPARE THE FINAL DRAFT: Then we make a final draft of our report which was collected from their reports for later editing. EDITING WITH CROSS REFERENCES: Then we used our references to make our report appropriate with real organizational preferences. CONDUCTING HYPOTHESIS TEST: At last, we conduct HYPOTHESIS TESTING to see whether the research of ORGANIGANIZAL BEHAVIOR is VALID/OR NOT to the real life.

INTERVIEW: DEVELOP QUESTIONEER: We made up several questioners for different designated people where they can answer to several questions helpful for our research. INTRODUCTION TO ORGANIZATIONAL ENVIORNMENT: Then we get introduced to their several organization environments like the number of employees, communication tools, number of office rooms, work environment etc. CONDUCT INTERVIEWS: Then we conducted interviews to their employees as per recommended. We took interviews of 7 employees & tried to be connected with our research topics. DEDUCTION OF INTERFERENCES & HYPOTHESIS TEST: Then we deduct the less important Q/A to make our report more relevant & short to our report.
