What is Snap-On Smile?

Snap-On Smile is a comfortable, removable dental appliance that requires no prepping, no injections, and no adhesives. Its patented design is flexible, incredibly strong, and expands over patients teeth. It does not impinge on the gingival tissue nor cover the palate, as its retention is completely tooth-borne. Snap-On Smile is non-invasive and easily removable, making it completely reversible.

What is it made of?

Snap-On Smile is made of a special resin, which allows it to be made as thin as .5 mm without compromising strength. It is the only appliance that can be fabricated with varying thicknesses throughout one appliance to afford a more natural contour and look. It is durable, resists stains from cigarettes, wine and coffee, and allows patients to eat while wearing it.

Can it be customized?
Snap-On Smile is available in multiple shades and designs from which you and your patient can choose. It can be made to cover a quadrant, called a Snap-It!, or full upper and lower arches to fit almost any patients needs. Upper and lower appliances can be worn simultaneously.

What is the order process for Snap-On Smile?

After patient consultation, you, the dentist, take upper and lower impressions and bite registration. Along with the patient, you select the preferred shape and shade. Your office then sends the completed case to DenMat for fabrication. Your patients custom-made Snap-On Smile will be delivered to your office. Bring the patient in for an office visit to adjust the appliance as necessary.

Is there a warranty?
Snap-On Smile comes with a 1 year warranty that can be extended with purchase for an additional year. Snap-It! comes with a 3 month warranty that can be extended with purchase for 1 year.

Is speech affected?
Speech can be affected for the first several minutes of wear, though this varies by patient. The instructions that come with a custom-made Snap-On Smile include a list of verbal exercises to help speed up the patients acclimation process.

How does the patient care for the appliance?

The appliance is easily cleaned. Snap-On Smile offers a full line of aftercare products which include: Snap-On Smile Cleaning Powder When mixed with water, the cleaning powder removes superficial stains and debris; simply soak the appliance for 15 minutes. Snap-On Smile Anti-Bacterial Gel Protects teeth and freshens breath when applied to the tooth compartments of the appliance prior to insertion. Storage case Patients receive a case for cleaning and storing their appliance.
