grandmas and the fact that she could tell the same story as grandma so in depth made them

She tells me of all these tales and in such language that ye would think she was an adult! What hae ye done? Did ye unleash- Shh my child Grandmother said. I simply told her the story of our ancient people the fae. She knows not of which ye speak so freely about. And furthermore I canna release anything. She will hae to learn on her own. The daughter in law bowed her head in submission and said my fault mother. Gwyndlnn looked over to her husband with Shahhara in his lap. The joy between them was so precious she wanted to bottle it up. Because she knew what was in store for Shahhara. Trials and test to come that would test her, mind body and soul. Chapter 1 Northern Ireland 1645, fall Get back here ye little bugga!! Ill get ye yet I will! Shahhara was now fifth-teen years old and near the age of marriage. Her parents were so proud of her and at how she matured over the ages. She was a beauty beyond comparison. She had long wavy black hair and beautiful violet eyes which was rare for her heritage. She ran freely through the meadows chasing butterflies when her parents werent nagging and she was doing just that now. AHA! Got

Sahhara sat in her grandmothers lap in their humble cobbled stoned kitchen, and begged her to tell her the story of the nine tailed cat again. Not again Shahhara its time for ye to go to bed now she looked up at her grandmother and spoke to her. Grandmother one day Im going to tell ye this story word for word the five years old smiled her famous toothless smile at her grandmother and skipped off to her pallet by the fire. That night as Shahhara slept her grandmother watched her in silence and prayed to the gods that she would grow up intelligent wise and knowing. Because there would come a day when Shahhara would be older and mature and when she did everything she thought was normal in her world will changed. The next morning when Shahhara woke up her parents had arrived from a tiring journey and were excited to pick their daughter up. To their surprise while at grandmas she had learned many things. They were astounded with the material and words and vocabulary she had picked up at

cha! Ye thought ye was gunna get away this time didnt ya? She held the butterfly gently in her hands and sat down in the field of lavender and proceeded to talk to the butterfly. How are ye doing today Mrs. Butter? Well Im doing fine I just had the worst day yester eve though. My little sister put vinegar in my tea! I couldna believe it! And then mother says she is expecting again. Thats just disgusting, ye think that they would hae half the decency to leave and go futter in the woods! But nae they choose to do it in the very house I sleep in and call home. She paused and looked at the butterfly it flapped its multi-colored wings as in agreement, and then she continued. and I have been hearing them whispering in the night time in some language I canna understand I think they mean to send me off to a brute! NOO THANK YOU! I rather just stay here and talk to you. Hmph from all the awful sounds mother makes when dad futters her Id rather not be married. Sounds like hes killing the poor lady. She paused again and looked out into the purple sunset and sighed. ye know Mrs. Butter, sometimes I think there is more to life than just telling stories my grandmother told me. I want to make my own. And I still remember over hearing my grandmother and mother speaking that day. I simply told her the story of our ancient people the fae. She knows not of which ye speak so freely on. And furthermore I canna release anything. What the hell is that to mean? Oh I better stop swearing mother says not respectable man wants an ill bred lady hell hell hell hell hell hell hell Shahhara laughed to herself at her defiance. No one

knew what she was saying but the butterfly, Mrs. Butter was never going to tell. Shahhara! It is time for ye to come in and bathe yer sister! Shahhara grumbled and sluggishly got up. She released Mrs. Butter. But not before promising she would be back to talk later on.

Chapter 2 Later that night as Shahhara laid in bed next to her sister telling her stories her grandmother had told her she heard a ruffling. She tried to ignore it but she couldnt. It got louder and louder. Then all of a sudden her cousin Jahydah came rushing through the window. AAhhh Jahydah!! her cousin smiled at her just said hi and waved her hand Shahhara gave Jahydah an annoyed looked. What the hell are ye doing here? Arent ye supposed to be sleep in yer home... because that what I was trying do! Shahhara said sassily. Aw cmon dont be a spoiled sport Shahhara. I was just jesting with ye. Anyway me and Brianna were creating a play we wanted to see if ye wanted to come by and help with it. Ye always seem to think of the best things to write! shhh Jahydah! Ye know our parents dont like us doing that!! Aw cmon ye have a natural talent for it! Jahydah I cant this time aw yer just being a sour grape. No Im not! Well prove it then cmon down to the den with me and Brianna.

Jahydah smiled smuggishly because she knew baiting Shahhara would always work, and it did. Shahhara looked at her sleeping sister and nodded. She climbed out the little cobbled window into the dark and tip toed out to the den. When she arrived her creative juices started to fly and she had created a play in a matter of seconds. Now in this culture you have to understand that creative writing in young women is looked down upon it just isnt something that a young lady did. So after they were finished. The three cousins sat around and read their play out loud and laughed and giggled like any other teenaged girl would. Then the door blew open stunning them all. A deep baritone voice spoke. Shahhara it is time for ye to come. Ye hae been watched carefully over the past years and kept from the many hidden secrets of yer family. BUT NOT ANNA MORE! A mighty gush of chilly air ran through the girls secret den. They were all scared out of their minds. WH-wh-what do ye want from me? Shaharra asked. Step out and I will tell ye, what I hae to say isna fer yer kin to hear. Its for yer ears only my darling. I canna do what yer asking me to I dont even know ye! she said shaking. The voice got louder. I AM THE GREAT MRRLYN, GOD OF WIZARDRY!!! I WILL TEACH YOU THINGS YOUR GRANDMOTHER SAUGHT TO TEACH BUT FAILED AT! NOW COME CHILD.

Shahhara eased out of the small den and into the darkness. Where am I going? she asked Yer going to a place where yer magic inside ye can be released and skilled. He said. Oh for crying out loud child, stop being so scary looking! Yer not gunna die! Yer just gunna learn magic! Hae ye ever considered why when ye call to butterflies they magically come? Hae ye ever wondered why yer plays seemed to always come to life? Or why the butterflies seem to always understand ye. Or how about that time when ye were a wee tike and yer grandmum told ye the stories and ye magically were able to understand it. Or the fact that the words ye use arena just simply words. They are in fact magic dear cullien. The tall old wizard stepped out from behind the bushes and stepped in front of Shahhara. He was tall lanky with a white gray beard and gray hair. Dear lass ye are a child of the Sidhe legend the blood is passed down to the female children through yer grandmums blood. Im what? A Sidhe? But they are the elf people the fae! How could that be possible? Where are we going? Unhand me I must tell my mother! Tell yer mum! the god laughed at Shahhara. yer mum already knows dear cullien. Shahhara looked at the old man in disbelief. She wasnt sure about this man or the place they were going but she hoped that where ever they were going that she would get answers. The wizard then stopped and waved his hand unveiling another realm. Cmon now dinna be afraid lass Shahhara nibbled her bottom lip and stepped through. Immediately she was engulfed by a

different atmosphere, the air was warm; it smelled of trees here and there were so many other children her age! All of them just like her; she imagined had been forced to come here. Then a woman stood up and walked over to Shahhara. You child come here! What is yer name? Shahhara. The lady looked at her smiling and told her to have a seat next to one of the other girls. Welcome to yer new home. Here ye will learn a new way of life. Before ye leave this place ye will nae think the same, or view life the same. Ye all have magic in ye and here ye will go through a series of test. Some of ye in the long run willna last throughout and some of ye will stay. Those of ye that stay ye will grow up and use yer hidden magic and live in a life full of mystical wonderment. Are there any questions? All the girls shook their head no Except Shahhara. Maam what is yer name? My name is Morrigan With that she began telling the group of girls the sacred stories of woods. How they all came alive at night while the humans slept. She also talked of the sedhe people. Their people. She told them how at first no one could do the things they did. She told them why their parents were always so secretive when talking around them. That was apparently because they knew the time would come to send them off to the gods. Then after her lecture she gave them a sheet of paper. They all knew what the paper was for and immediately began writing. After they finished the Goddess took the papers looked at them and murmured to herself we have a lot of work to do With that she began

teaching the children the proper ways to spell the words of the ancient people. Months flew by that seemed like only a day! But at the end of all, Morrigan had taught them some vital information that they would take with them in their whole life. now ladies I have one last thing to teach you. Today you will all learn to ride a unicorn. Immediately after saying that, all the girls started to talk to themselves excitedly. Shahhara was one of the main ones, she loved unicorns and to actually learn to ride one would be amazing! She approached the horned horse and became nervous. When all the girls were beside the unicorns the teacher spoke. If ye all can learn to ride these darlings, ye can be transported to many places. Ye will nae be constricted to just this place in the world. Ye will be able to fly, go back in time, into the future. Anything will be possible beyond yer wildest imagination. Shahhara got on the sky blue unicorn. Then Morrgan said. As ye all ride off remember that with each different unicorn is a story and as you ride in the years to come make sure ye choose wisely because some of them ye may not like. After an amount of years passed, Shahhara became better at riding unicorns. She shared her riding with her friends she met. Often together they would ride. However Shahhara never forgot to write down the spells that she discovered on her new journeys. Shahhara returned to her home one day and to her surprise her father pulled her aside.

Shahhara, you have a gift and I want you to use it, I know that you hae been gone to on the other side of the Sidhe people. I am not completely informed of the magics and the way that they work. But I want ye to use what you hae learned there and to take it and make it better. There is always room for improvement. With her fathers help Shahhara was able to better her spells. Finally as time grew short it was once again time for Shahhara to leave off to the Sidhe world. Myrrdin came to her again and he spoke to her. Shahhara ye hae learned a lot from Morrigan however Its time fer ye to move on. Ye are no longer a wee lassie. Its time fer ye to delve deeper into yer magic. Im sending ye on a journey. On this journey ye will go into the land of the unicorns. Here ye will ride some interesting creatures. Some ye will fall in love with and forget where ye are and some ye will just not like. But the ones ye dont like suffer through it. Dinna be afraid cullien Myrrdin said this because Shahhara didnt know what to expect and he saw her sweet eyes turn round. Now be off! When ye return from yer journey Ye will Im sure hae lots of new spells! Shahhara entered the world of the unicorns. She was amazed; She had never saw so many in one place! It amazed her she wanted to ride each one. Her favorite horned beast she discovered was so sweet and loving. But there were always those ancient unicorns she had to ride to learn. Over a period of three Sidhe years Shahhara had rode many of the unicorns. The things she saw were no way in comparison to what she saw in her early years of teaching. She

saw fire and brimstone, with goblins and dragons. She saw animals of every species, she saw the land of angles and for every angle she saw she saw demons. She didnt like every place that each unicorn took her but each unicorn had interesting abilities. One day Shahhara had an epiphany, she was building up her knowledge for some far more greater than just unicorns. But what was it? It was that instant that Myrrdin appeared behind her. Shahhara! Where are ye? Shahhara got up from the clear pool where the unicorns drunk from. I am here Myrrdin. What is it that ye require from me? Shahhara it is time for ye to advance once more, and I am sad to say this may be one of the hardest areas you have dealt with. But I will help ye. Ye hae been with the loose unicorns for far too long and well there are other things that I must teach ye about the world of sidhe before ye are to become of use to the elven queen. What? Where am I going? Dinna worry lass where yer going Im sure all ye have learned will help ye, I can only hope for the best. With those last words Shahhara climbed through a portal Myrrdin opened. She closed her eyes and when she opened them she wanted to turn around. These places made no sense to herWhy were there flying lizards breathing fire? Why were there small winged people on flowers? But most importantly who was this woman walking towards her in a sheer gown of daises? Hello Shahhara, my name is Druantia, I am the god of creativity It was brought to my understanding that you are of

sidhe ancient blood. Ye hae been studying right? It was all that Shahhara could but nod. She was awe struck at how this woman could be so tall and beautiful. Ye hae written many spells for Myrrdin had ye not? He has accepted them but, most recently ye hae written a spell that makes ye gain knowledge. I was told that when ye used it ye turned smart lass daft! Shahhara just looked to the grounds, because this was true. She remembers that day she had stayed up all night and worked on the spell right before it was due. When she went before Myrrdin that morning and used the spell, the poor girl started to slobber and stare off into the sun and make weird noises. Needless to say Myrrdin was disappointed. We are going to work on that spell and ye are going to use it on yer self. The goddess smiled smugly to herself and laughed. So, unless ye want to be as daft as that lassie ye better fix yer spell. The first thing Druantia made Shahhara do was learn to ride a dragon. Dragons were way faster than unicorns and could fly Shahhara to many more places than any unicorn could. She had to gather many different types of flowers and spices. She was never good at knowledge spells. So one fine evening she went to one of the small winged people she had become really good friends with them. She asked Cyndia what am I doing wrong? I keep changing my spell but nothing works. Cyndia looked at Shahhara. Yer spell is fine; you just have to have confidence. Druantia isnt as hard as Myrrdin but she still expects the best. Shahhara nodded her head in agreement.

Over a course of months Shahhara finally was able to finisher her spell. When she presented it in front of her fellow friends and Druantia she was nervous. However she never would have thought that it would have came out so perfectly. All the while she was so used to being told what to get that when this spell came along she had no clue what to do. It took her a while but she finally got the hang of it. This made Druatia proud and Myrrdin as well. My cullien it is time for you to go to the elves. Myrrdin said one day after her stay with Druatia. The elf kingdom will be harsh but life is always hard. There will be ups and there will be downs but remember what we all have taught you. Utilize dragons and unicorns for they will always be yer escape. With that Myrrdin misted off into a white light, leaving Shahhara on a grassy cliff by herself. Like clockwork a butterfly flew onto her shoulder. Hi Mrs. Butter. I havent forgotten ye, Ive just been busy. A lot has changed since we last talked. I am now about to enter the elf world as an assistant to the elf queen. I have been hurt many times and won many spell wars with my fellow peers but this I feel will be different. I feel that I will be challenged even more. I will be with an entire different race than what Im used to. I probably winna see ye vera often now. But our chapter is never closed the butterfly flapped its wings like it normally does as if it agreed and flew off. Shahhara just smiled into the sunset and entered her new world.
