TEACs CD-W524E delivers unbeatable performance and value. Its 24X write and 10X rewrite speeds deliver unsurpassed performance, matching the fastest record and rewrite speeds available. Add to that an 80ms average access time, also an industry fastest, and a 40X digital audio extraction rate for fast audio ripping.

The drives 2MB data buffer includes buffer underrun prevention technology. This disc-saving feature suspends the recording process until the buffer is empty, so you can record safely while multitasking. In addition, the CD-W524E utilizes a ZCLV (Zone Constant Linear Velocity) writing strategy. This results in a faster average record speed than youll find with other drives.

The 24x10x40 is available in multiple configurations. The CD-W524E bare drive is perfect for integration and supports a variety of CD recording applications. TEACs retail kit comes with Roxios Easy CD Creator 5 for audio and data recording, Musicmatch Jukebox for MP3 ripping and burning and PhotoImpression for digital photo image editing. This kit supports Windows XP/98/Me/NT4 and 2000.
