As we come upon the Silver Anniversary (25th) Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. observance presented by the City of Sanford and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Steering Committee, Inc. (MLK, Jr. Steering Committee), it is important to provide the most enjoyable family-oriented day of food, fun, and games for we must always REMEMBER! CELEBRATE! ACT! On Monday, January 16, 2012, the Rally in the Park will take place in downtown Sanford at picturesque Fort Mellon Park, immediately following the parade, which will be hosted in the Goldsboro community on West 13th Street. As we continue to strive to bring our diverse community together for this exciting cultural experience, we welcome and thank you for your support as a vendor. Attached are the vendor opportunity guidelines and application. Please read thoroughly the vendor guidelines before completing the application, as there are changes. Completed applications with the appropriate fee must be received no later than Friday, January 6, 2012. Please mail completed applications to: City of Sanford MLK, Jr. Steering Committee P. O. It is our goal to provide the community with the best merchandise, service and business experience during this celebration. In order to accomplish this, we have established the following vendor guidelines:

Vendor spaces are 10 x 15in size. If your set-up requires more than one space, additional spaces must be purchased at the vendor space fee of $100.00 per space. Fire Extinguishers: Each vendor cooking with grease or using frying vats and griddles are required to have a K-rated fire extinguisher. Each Vendor cooking with wood or charcoal must have a 3A10BC fire extinguisher. Food vendors using grease must have grease traps and are not allowed on the grassy areas of the park. Glass containers are not allowed (i.e., beverages must be in an aluminum can or a plastic bottle). You must complete and return the Application and Hold Harmless agreement printed on the back or attached as an additional page to the application.
