All 6 headings were chosen for the chart (name, price, price with GST, price per item, selling price, prot). The chart has 1 or 2 errors. It is clear that the work has been checked over and that a peer has checked it.

Use the chart to the right by following the steps below: _____________________ 1.Read through each point BEFORE you start working. 2.Set a goal: Where would you iike your work to be? Lightly colour each box with a yellow pencil crayon. 3.Create your chart, keeping the the rubric in mind. 4.Check your goal: Honestly look at your work and shade in the correct boxes with a blue pencil crayon. It is okay if you colour over a yellow box.

Chart

At least 3 headings were chosen for the chart (name, price, price with GST, price per item, selling price, prot). The chart has fewer than 8 mathematical errors. It appears as though the work was not double-checked.

At least 4 headings were chosen for the chart (name, price, price with GST, price per item, selling price, prot). The chart has fewer than 5 mathematical errors. Some effort to double-check work and to discuss with peers is evident. 2 to 3 of the following were included: clear title, clear headings for the columns, rulers were used, the numbers line up within the chart. Approximately 80% of class time was used towards this task (thinking, writing, discussing, producing). The suggestions are thoughtful and consider the purchasing price, selling price, and prot.

Appearance

2 or fewer of the following were included: clear title, clear headings for the columns, rulers were used, the numbers line up within the chart. Approximately 60% of class time was used towards this task (thinking, writing, discussing, producing). There is little discussion about what we should sell and there is no connection to the math.

All of the following were included: clear title, clear headings for the columns, rulers were used, the numbers line up within the chart. What should we sell? How much should we sell it for?

We need to nd and use information from all over the internet, from yers, and from store visits to make the best decisions possible. Why is it important we think this through? Calculating GST will give us a more accurate purchasing price. Thinking about the number of items in each box will help us to determine the price per item. Keeping all of the information together in a chart will help us to make informed decisions. Considering how much were buying and selling each item for will help us to build information

about our prot and our overhead costs. This planning process is extremely important to meeting our objective, which is: How can we create a cafe that satises everyone in our school and raises money for an educational eld trip?
