Performance ===================================================================== 2.1 CPU Speed ------------BioShock 2 is optimized for multi-core processor machines. If the game is run o n a single core machine then a processor of at least 3GHz or equivalent is requi red to get reasonable performance. The higher the clock speed of the processor the better the game will run. Most multi-core machines will be optimum for BioS hock 2. 2.2 Video and Sound Card Drivers -------------------------------It is recommend that you update your audio and video card drivers to the latest version provided by the card/computer manufacturer. To obtain the latest driver s for your equipment, visit the card/computer manufacturer s website. 2.3 Memory ---------Memory or RAM can sometimes greatly affect game play. Machines with less memory will access their hard disk more frequently to load data, which causes sporadic pauses in game play. Machines with a lower end processor and video card that ha s 256 MB of RAM or less, should make sure that there are no active running progr ams in the background. This will optimize performance and make the gaming experi

ence better for the user. For good performance we recommend at least 2 Gigabytes of system memory. For op timum performance we recommend at least 3 Gigabytes of system memory. 2.4 Better Performance for your Game -----------------------------------A faster graphics card on a slower PC may receive significantly increased frame rates and performance benefits when Shadow Maps are turned off and Texture Detai l, High Detail Post Processing, and Real Time Reflection mapping are also turned off. If performance issues are observed then it is recommended that the you select a lower screen resolution and lower Graphics Quality setting from the Graphics Opt ions screen. If you are not using an EAX(R) compatible sound card then disablin g "reverb" from the Audio Options screen will also improve performance. ===================================================================== 3. Some older machines that have AMD dual core processors may experience problems r unning the game. If you have such a system, you should first visit the AMD websi te (www.amd.com) and obtain the latest processor drivers from the Support & Driv ers Page. 3.6 NVIDIA Quadro Support -------------------------BioShock 2 does not support the NVIDIA Quadro range of graphics cards. Playing Bi oShock 2 using this range of cards can lead to serious performance, stability an d gameplay issues. 3.7 Single Core Affinity Support -------------------------------BioShock 2 is not designed to run in Single Core Affinity Mode. By using this Software you consent to the Licensor's use of relat ed data, including public display of your data such as identification of your us er created content or displaying your scores, ranking, achievements and other ga meplay data.
