Epilepsy warning ======================================================================= Some people may suffer mental confusion or epileptic seizures when exposed to certain strobe effects or flashes of light. Certain graphics and effects in computer games may trigger an epileptic seizure or loss of consciousness in those people. Previously unknown tendencies toward epilepsy could also be stimulated. If you or someone in your family have an epileptic condition, please consult your doctor before using this game. If you experience symptoms such as dizziness, altered vision, eye or muscle spasms, fainting, disorientation or any sort of involuntary movement or cramps while playing the game, turn the device off IMMEDIATELY and consult a doctor before continuing to play.

End User License Agreement (EULA) ======================================================================= The existing manual, the original software and the packaging provided are protected by copyright and trademark law. All copyrights and ancillary rights reserved. All material may only be distributed through authorized dealers and is exclusively determined for private use. Carefully read through this license agreement prior to using the software. By applying this software product, you accept and are bound to the terms of the EULA.

1. Software product license 1.1 According to this end-user license agreement, you are granted the following rights:

This end-user license agreement is a valid agreement between you (as a natural or legal person) and JoWooD Productions Software AG. By purchasing this original software, you are granted the right to use this software on a (1) computer. JoWooD Productions Software AG does not grant you any rights of ownership of the software this license does not represent a sale of the software. You are owner of the CD-Rom on which the software is stored, JoWooD Productions Software AG remains the sole owner of the software on the CD-Rom and the documentation associated with the software and remains the proprietor of all intellectual and industrial property included therein. This non-exclusive and personal license grants you the right to install, use and display this software product on a compatible computer. Every other use, especially unauthorized leasing, distribution, public presentation or other demonstration, e.g. in schools or universities, any form of copying, multiple installation or transfer and any other process by which this software or parts of it are made available to the general public (also via the Internet or other online systems), is prohibited and requires prior written consent. The original software as well as the manual may not be edited, changed or translated. Decompiling and recreation of a security copy is prohibited as it is not required for use of the original software. The end-user license agreement grants no rights whatsoever in relation to other JoWooD Productions Software AG brands.

2. Description of other rights and limitations 2.1 Limited warranty Over a period of 90 days starting from the date of purchase (receipt), JoWooD Productions Software AG guarantees that the software substantially runs according to the included printed documentation. All liabilities from JoWooD Productions Software AG and your sole entitlement are decided by JoWooD Productions Software AG and consist either in the total refund of the costs applied or in repair or reimbursement of the software product that does not correspond to the limited warranty provided by JoWooD, given the original software (including packaging and the manual) and a copy of the proof or purchase are sent back to JoWooD Productions Software AG. This limited warranty does not apply if (i) the original software was purchased for commercial or industrial means (this is strictly prohibited) or (II) damage to the software is a result of an accident, misuse or false handling. Any warranty or liability entitlements granted by law in front of the dealer you have purchased your copy from, are not replaced by nor limited by this agreement. In the case of entitlement to a reimbursement as a result of a defective CD, contact the dealer where you bought the software product. Do not forget to include the original CD and the proof of purchase.

2.2 Liability limitations JoWooD Productions Software AG declines any possibility to be made liable for any special, coincidental, indirect or following damage (particularly for lost turnover) occurring as a result of the use or incapability of use of the software product, according to the laws applied and available. This also applies if JoWooD Productions Software AG previously pointed out the possibility of such damages

occurring.

3. Choice of law and safeguarding clause Austrian law applies for all legal questions occurring from or in coherence with this agreement. If, in any case, terms of this agreement become invalid or inapplicable, the rest of the agreement remains unaffected.

minor bugs ---------- in the message for settling disputes a wrong character name was displayed - the player recieved messages for failed interactions for family members not in the group - children can no longer be the victims of a pick pocket - problems with deceased beloved - when a farmer changes his field the animals remain - when the mother of a child is not in the party the name of a child can not be given - when a party character was working and then removed from the party he/she continued working - the AI was inspecting the same business far too often - wooing display stays up when wooed person is deselected - when building the smithy a message was displayed which was missing the heading and the icon - problems with slider bar in farm productions menu

- when loading a savegame while playing a tutorial, the tutorial texts would continue to be displayed - the burglar protection wasnt displayed properly on buildings - wrong date in diary - the measure "follow me" will from now on work only for wooed, employees and family members - the wedding jingle wasnt played - in chapter 7 of the tutorial, the last step was not playable - the money sums in the messages "take a bath" and "dance" are now displayed balancing --------- divers changes in the robber and thief class - tax: the tax is now deducted straight away when buying goods, not at the end of the round - dynasty characters can now perform all the measures of their employees exept for demand ransom spy on building and kidnap - dynasty chars now gain experience for every hour worked in their business except for the robber class - divers changes in the efficiency of the businesses - AI now puts more goods on the market - none player characters now also buy on the market - the amount of level 1 and 2 goods on the market were reduced on game start - the production processes of the tavern were simplified and consumption brings more profit now gameplay -------- the upper limit of the businesses owned for a title was raised commoner = 2, citizen = 4, patrician = 8, nobleman = 16, landgrave = 32, baron = 64 - the wages of employees continuously increase during the game - the impact of level 2 productivity upgrades for buildings was reduced - the choices for possible spouses are now limited to a maximum difference of one level of office above that of the player char

Multiplayer game ================ If >The Guild 2< is played via network with an activated firewall you have to open the following ports: - (TCP/IP, UDP) 2801 - (TCP/IP, UDP) 2816 - (TCP/IP, UDP) 30180 If >The Guild 2< is hosted on a computer which is connected to the internet using a router, experts(!) may proceed with the following steps: - activate Universal Plug and Play (UPNP) on the router - additional Ports: (TCP/IP, UDP) 15666 (Host-/Server-Port)

- include [HostIP="192.168.1.1:2801"] in the Config.ini in order to define the locally used ip interface and the port
