TALLYING THE VICTORY POINTS
As normal, players receive a number of Victory Points equal to the points value of enemy units/characters that have been destroyed, that are fleeing at the end of the game, or that have fled off the table. Also as normal, players receive a number of Victory Points equal to half the points value of enemy units that have been reduced to half their original number of models and of enemy independent models reduced to half their starting number of Wounds. [Do not count these Victory Points if points have already been scored for the unit being wiped out, as described above.] Players score a number of Victory Points equal to a quarter of the points value of the armies involved in the battle for fulfilling their Primary Objective (e.g., 500 Victory Points in a battle between 2,000point armies). Players score a number of Victory Points equal to a tenth of the points value of the armies involved in the battle for fulfilling their Secondary Objective (e.g., 200 Victory Points in a battle between 2,000-point armies). Once all Victory Points are tallied, use the Victory Points Chart on p. 198 of the Warhammer rulebook to determine the outcome of the battle.

other one randomly. Other Scenarios. Players can apply the Battlefield Objectives rules to scenarios other than Pitched Battles. Note that not all objectives will work for all scenarios. GM & Secret Objectives. With the assistance of a neutral Game Master, players can roll their Battlefield Objectives in secret. The GM can then secretly assign things like scenery objectives and targets for assassination, which are normally worked out between the players. The GM can opt to have players reroll Battlefield Objectives like Rescue, which may not work well with Secret Objectives. Cards. Instead of rolling for Objectives, players can use the Battlefield Objective cards, which are available online (see above for a link to the page). By using the Battlefield Objective cards, players ensure that no two Objectives in play will be the same. If youre playing with a GM and Secret Objectives, we highly
recommend using the cards and removing Rescue from the deck. Stacked Deck. Each player draws Battlefield Objectives as normal, but may remove an agreed upon number of cards (about three to six cards) from the deck before doing so. Both players should prepare the cards starting with a complete deck. Thus, with the Stacked Deck option, it is possible for players to have an Objective in common. Change Victory Point Values. Players can change the number of Victory Points the Primary and Secondary Objectives are worth. More or Fewer Objectives. Players can play with one, three, or more objectives, and can adjust the points value of each accordingly. As a rule of thumb, no matter how many objectives are in play, the total potential Victory Point value of each sides Objectives should be at least a third but no more than half of the points value of the armies in play. Thus, if the battle is being fought
between 2,000-point forces, the total number of Battlefield Objective Victory Points available should be between 667 and 1,000 for each side. For such a battle, players might choose to play with three Objectives the Primary worth 400 VPs, the Secondary worth 300 VPs, and the Tertiary worth 200 VPs for instance. Add or Delete Objectives. You can add Objectives of your own design (blank cards are included in the downloadable deck for you to customize). You can drop Objectives from the list or deck. You can change the odds of generating particular Objectives by adjusting the D66 numbers in the left-hand column of the table. For instance, you could drop results 53-66 from the chart and then add those numbers to the top of the chart, such that a result of 11 or 53 would be Table Quarters, a result of 12 or 54 would be Center Objective, and so on. Including multiple versions of the same card in the deck is also an option.

However, the captive can be killed by template weapons and spells that affect all members of the captive unit. If the captive is killed, then you cannot fulfill this Objective. If all members of the capturing unit are destroyed and the captive survives, leave the captive model in place, where he can be recaptured by any friendly or enemy unit that comes into base contact with him.
