Frico products
Todays high and increasing energy prices often make heating costs substantial. Frico strives to develop products and systems that provide energy saving heating solutions and better heating comfort at the same time. Reducing energy losses and making optimum use of the heat is also important. Air curtains in doorways and openings, radiant heaters or ceiling fans where the ceiling is high are examples of products that contribute to large energy savings.
Air curtains It makes sound economic sense to create an efficient and invisible door that keeps the heat inside. Air curtains can be even more effective when used in air conditioned or cold storage buildings. Thermozone technology with its precisely adjusted air velocity gives even protection throughout the opening. Frico air curtains provide the most efficient separation with the lowest possible energy consumption, regardless of whether it is the heat or the cold that you want to keep inside.
Radiant heaters Frico radiant heaters imitate the sun, the most comfortable and efficient heat source available. The heat is emitted only when the rays hit a surface and the room temperature can thus be lowered while occupants experience a comfortable environment. This makes radiant heaters well suited for zone and spot heating, for example to avoid cold draughts from windows. Radiant heaters are easy to install and require minimum maintenance. They heat directly when switched on and give no air movement.
Fan heaters We are proud of the worldwide fame Frico fan heaters have gained. They are reliable and are designed for long life. Our range covers all needs. The investment cost is low compared to other heating systems. A great advantage of fan heaters is the option of combining heating and ventilation. Frico fan heaters are compact, low noise and light weight. They are available for electrical heating as well as for water heating.
Convectors The circulation of air that forms in a room where the air is affected by a heat source is called convection. The air gets warm and rises, then cools and returns to be heated again. Heat disperses effectively while the upward directed warm air stream is utilized to counteract cold draughts from windows for example.
Ceiling fan Ceiling fans push down overheated air from the ceiling to the living area. Losses are decreased and the heat is used to best effect.
Thermostats and controls The key to energy efficient heating and good comfort is the combination of heating products and good controls. Frico offers a wide range of thermostats and controls, read more under each product or in the Frico Catalogues.

Energy savings and good indoor climate In many buildings, such as shops, warehouses, industrial premises and goods terminals, doorways are open for a significant portion of the day. Expensive heated or cooled air will be lost, especially when the difference between the inside and outside temperatures is substantial. Opening without Thermozone The heated or conditioned air escapes through this unprotected opening. The result is energy loss and poor comfort.
Opening with correctly adjusted Thermozone A sharp separation between different temperature zones is obtained with a correctly set up air curtain. Thermozone creates a barrier that effectively prevents undesired air flows.

Choose the right air curtain For optimal air curtain effect, it is important to choose the right air curtain. Thermozone air curtains are available for doorways of any width and for heights up to 8 metres. They blow from above, from the side or from below. Choose between electrical, water heated or unheated versions. To get the most out of the product, the following hints are important to bear in mind. The installation height is crucial. The air curtain units should cover the whole width (or height) of the opening. Thermozone can be obtained in different lengths. For wide (high) openings, several units are mounted beside (on top) of each other. The units should be positioned as close to the opening as possible. For optimal performance it is important that the pressure difference between outside and inside is not too big. Control For optimal comfort and energy saving the air curtain needs to be controlled according to the requirements and conditions at hand. A quick and precise control is easily obtained. Thermozone AR 200
AR200 is especially suited for environments requiring unobtrusive installation. It is recessed in ceilings above entry doors and other small doors where the height is no greater than 2.5 metres. A low unit height makes it possible to install AR200 where ceiling space is limited. The recessed installation and low sound level makes AR200 very discreet. The visible bottom plate may be painted 1 / 1,5 / 2 m to make it blend even better with the premises. AR300 is especially suited for environments requiring unobtrusive installation. The recessed installation is very discreet and the built-in control contributes further to the concealed appearance. Installation height up to 3,5 metres. Easy to service via a large hatch in the bottom of the unit. The filter is cleaned from the outside. Height: 302 mm Depth: 595 mm Colour (frame and hatch): white, RAL9016 CE compliant. Control AR300 The built-in control of AR300 is designed to give the highest level of functionality while minimizing installation and daily operation. No additional wiring or external controls are needed. The air curtain operates at its maximum performance in all situations and is not dependent on day-to-day adjustments. When the door is open the air curtain separates outdoor and indoor air and provides heat if it is needed. When the door is closed the air curtain operates as part of the heating system supplying additional heat if indoor temperature falls below desired temperature. There are also possibilities to connect the air curtain to a BMS system for on/off control and alarm indication.

Air curtains - Entrance
S10 series
The S10 range is BOSSs most popular modular air curtain system. Suitable for offices, shops, reception areas and other commercial premises, the S10 series combines streamlined good looks with high performance and low noise. Modules can be mounted singularly to cover doorways up to 1.5m, or combined to provide a continuous barrier over any width of opening and are suitable for doorways up to 2.7m high. The S10 series is supplied without controls. Remote switching and a control link allow any number of modules to be centrally controlled. High performance is provided by low noise tangential fans connected to powerful twin shaft motors for long service life. Construction is durable white powder coated steel galvanised steel chassis, moulded end caps and brushed aluminium inlet grille.
S15 series
S15 modular air curtains combine the same design characteristics as the S10 range, with higher output for larger commercial applications. Typically S15 units can be mounted up to 4.0m high, but still provide high performance and relatively low noise. S15 units are available in 1.0m and 1.5m modules and like all BOSS modular units can be linked together to form a continuous barrier. Remote switching and a control link allow any number of modules to be centrally controlled. S15 units also use tangential fans coupled to twin-shaft motors for reliability and long service even in the most demanding environments. Standard control boxes Each CB30N (water/ambient unit) or CB32N (electric unit) can be used to control single or multiple units and may be mounted up to 20m from the air curtains. These robust controls allow on/ off, high/low fan speed and high/low output (electric versions only) . Thermostatic control (RTI2) Air curtains may be controlled thermostatically either to switch the unit or the heating elements. Thermostatic control is most suitable where the air curtain is also being used to provide a heating service.

The BOSS architectural series has been introduced to meet the needs of architects who require the energy efficiency and comfort benefits of air curtains but also demand units that are in keeping with stylish interior design. The graceful curved profile of BOSSs LP range of air curtains meet the demanding requirements for prestigious locations, such as retailing, corporate head offices, hotels and theatres. Finished in mirror polished (option) or brushed stainless steel (standard finish) these units combine stylish looks with the same high performance and low noise of all other BOSS air curtains. Bespoke manufacture allows some tailoring of the units to meet the requirements of individual locations. In addition to stainless steel, painted finishes can be accommodated, either to a RAL finish or to match a customers sample. You are invited to contact our technical department to discuss specific applications. Architectural air curtains may also be mounted vertically using a special bracket set to provide stylish columns by the entrance door. S10/15 recessed series

Both S10 and S15 ranges are available as recessed units allowing safe and simple installation in false ceiling voids. In their recessed form S-range air curtains can cover openings up to 2.5m high (S10/R) or 3.7m high (S15/R), and 2m wide. Internally the air curtain components are identical to the standard surface mounted models and are supplied ready fitted in a robust steel mounting frame. The frame can be suspended from a load bearing structure using drop rods or other suitable fixings. The BOSS recessed system is quick and convenient to install as well as being very versatile. The supplied mounting frame ensures that the air curtain components are mounted securely and that safe clearances are maintained around the unit. Each recessed unit comes complete with a flush fitting ceiling grille. No controls are supplied but any of BOSSs remote control options may be used.

Thermozone AC 600
Thermozone AC600 consists of a pillar with inlet hood, silencers and fans, as well as a floor channel with its slot at floor level. It is placed inside and next to the door opening. Air at high speed is pressed out through the narrow slot in the floor inside the door opening. The width of the slot and the blow angle are adapted to the opening. Complete slot with inspection hatch could be custom made. AC600 creates a very effective air barrier inside the the door opening, when pressing air at high speed out through a narrow slot. ADEA, air curtain control

ADEA is an advanced and user friendly control for air curtains. ADEA is ready to run directly after installation on account of the pre-programmed parameters. An outdoor sensor, room sensor and door contact govern the control, which adapts the heat and fan speed, according to the preset parameters, to the prevailing conditions. In its basic design the fan speed is controlled in 3 stages, but can, via a 0-10V signal, govern an external controller (ADSR54 or frequency inverter) to provide fully variable control. A control board needs to be added, ADEAIB for internal mounting (for AD300/400 only) or ADEAEB (IP55) for external mounting (for all units). Depending on the motor current, one or more units may be controlled with one control board. An extra control board ADEAGD1 is needed to control AG, AGV, ACC, RD and ADR air curtains. The control board also makes it possible to connect any Frico air curtain running with ADEA to an advanced BMS system. The extra control board is mounted on the ADEAB control board. One ADEA is needed for each opening, but it can control several air curtains.
Integrating air curtains AD200400 to a BMS system BMS control - level 1

The SBMS control box is used for connecting an AD200-400 air curtain to a Building Management System. The SBMS has a 24 V AC relay for on/off signals and a volt free alarm signal. Protection class IP44.
BMS control - level 2

Integrating AD200-400 air curtains to a Building Management System with ADEAEB/IB. Use the air curtain as an integral part of the buildings climate system by operating fan speed and heat output with the BMS. Includes an alarm signal for the fan motor (only AD300/400) and possibilities to guide the air curtains operations with a door contact. The level 2 solution requires 010 V signals to control fan speed and heat output.
BMS control - level 3

Advanced integration of AD200-400 air curtains to a Building Management System with ADEAEB and ADEAGD. Use the air curtain as an integral part of the buildings climate system. Manages on/off, fan speed, and heat output operations. The level 3 solution also gives indications of current running mode: on/off, fan speed, heat output and alarm signal. Includes possibilities to guide the air curtain operations with a door contact. The level 3 solution requires 010 V signals to control fan speed and heat output.

Is activated by a volt-free make. A MDCDC is included in MDC. IP44.
ADSR54, stepless fan speed control

For AD200/300/400 A/W. For unheated and water heated air curtains (single phase supply 230 V~, max 3 A). Controls the motor without causing disturbing electro magnetic noise. Can be controlled with an external 010 V signal. Max. input 3 A, 230 V~. IP54.
MDCDC, magnetic door contact

Indicates door status. Extra MDCDC are used when several doors are connected to a MDC. IP44.
RTRD7, 5-step fan speed control

GWB, wall bracket

For AG4000/4500/5000. GWB400 is used for AG4000 and GWB640 is used for AG4500/5000. 2 brackets are needed for units up to 1,5 metres and 3 brackets are needed for 2 and 2,5 metre units. The brackets are screwed into place in the wall. The air curtain is then suspended from the brackets using threaded bars. Can also be used for AGV4000 to fix the unit to the wall or the ceiling. ADPK1, suspension kit

For AD200/300/400. Mounting kit for suspension mounting of the AD-range. Consists of 2 hanging brackets, length 1 metre, and 4 bracket fixtures (2 for the unit and 2 for the ceiling). Radiant heaters
Heating with radiant heaters is indirect. The heat is transferred from the radiant heaters at the ceiling to surfaces such as floors, walls, fixtures and the like, which in their turn give off heat to the air in the room. No losses occur on the way from ceiling to floor. Radiant heating can be compared to ordinary light. Dispersion and reflection occur in relatively the same way. Radiant heaters create a very equal temperature distribution between floor and ceiling. The expensive cushion of overheated air that is easily formed when using other heating systems can be avoided. In rooms with high ceilings, radiant heaters give significantly lower energy consumption. Total heating Radiant heaters heat people first, then the air. The operative temperature, being the temperature a person senses, is therefore a little higher than the actual air temperature. For a specific comfort level, use of a radiant heating system will allow a reduction in air temperature of a couple of degrees when compared to a conventional system, and every degree reduction will reduce energy consumption by approx. 5 %. Zone and spot heating With a radiant heating system, different zones within the same room can have different temperatures. It is therefore possible to divide any area into smaller zones and maintain a different comfort level in each zone. It is also possible to focus the heat on a certain spot, such as a single workstation. A spot heating application can be controlled much as spot lighting, with the level of heating being increased when needed. Complementary heating As addition to other heating systems and when expanding an existing system, radiant heaters are often a simple, inexpensive solution. For a water heated building, putting up a single or a few electrical heaters is often a smoother and more flexible solution than extending the water pipe system. Cold draught protection A cool surface such as a window has a chilling effect on the neighbouring air. Radiant heaters provide efficient and economical protection against cold draughts caused by windows by heating the windows surface. The colder the window, the more radiant heat it will draw. The radiated heat automatically migrates to where it is most needed, which facilitates the creation of a comfortable indoor climate.

There are many advantages with radiant heaters:
Economy
Heat people and objects first and then the surrounding air. This allows the temperature to be reduced while maintaining comfort. Produces instant heat, thus much quicker than traditional heating systems. This is especially useful outdoor and in buildings that is used occasionally such as sport centres and country houses. Reduced night temperture possible with right controls thanks to quick heat-up time.
Safety
By positioning the heaters at high level the risk of getting in contact with the heater is greatly reduced. The heater is also protected against damage. Some radiant heaters are ideal for premises with fire risk or highly explosive environments (see radiant heaters SZ and SZR).
Simplicity
Easy and flexible installation. Requires a minimum of maintenance.

Space
By putting the heater on the ceiling, valuable wall and floor space is saved.
Comfort
Using the radiation principle air is not heated directly. This results in a soft, draught-free, comfortable indoor climate and an even temperature. Does not cause any air movement, as traditional heating systems often do. Reducing the spread of dust, bacteria or odours improves the quality of the indoor environment.
Discreet
The system is completely silent. Mounting on the ceiling or recessed in a false ceiling gives a discreet heating.
Choose the right radiant heater

Radiant heaters are available in various designs it is primarily the installation height, the surrounding environment and the type of heating wanted (see page 32) that determine the choice of product. Our radiant heaters are divided into three main application areas: "Offices, shops and public premises", "Industry and large premises" and "Outdoors" but most of them can be used in several application areas as you can see in below table. Comfort To acheive good comfort, it is essential to choose the right type of radiant heater. An infrared heater equipped with halogen lamps at approx. 2000 C provides intense, short-wave radiation. It is well-suited to outdoor use or in rooms with high ceilings. For a similar but softer heat an infrared heater with tube elements at approx. 750 C can be used. The heat emitted from these radiant heaters can be compared to the radiant heat felt from an open fireplace. A Thermocassette with a large element surface and a surface temperature of approx. 100 C, provides longwave heat radiation, giving comfortable heating and good dispersion in rooms of normal height (2,7 m). In a building with high demands on comfort, a larger number of heaters with low output should be used instead of fewer heaters with high output. When zone- or spot heating an area, the heaters should be placed so that the heat comes from at least two directions. This is especially important when the heaters are mounted at lower heights. Below table and the examples on the following pages will help you to choose the right radiant heater.

Construction
The Comfort Panel SZR radiant panels are made of a 1 mm thick galvanized steel plate. A 1 mm thick oblong-shaped copper tube is fixed to the panel. A galvanized cover plate is welded to the panel in order to hold the pipe in place and to secure the best surface contact between the pipe and the panel. An insulating layer of mineral wool (30 mm thick) protected by an aluminium sheet (25 micron thick) is supplied with SZR to be mounted on the top of the panel.

Suspension
SZ panels can be mounted horizontally, vertically or in an angle. The suspensions are not supplied with the radiant panels, and must be provided by the customer or ordered separately. These can be made using threaded rods, chains or perforated brackets, and they must be adjustable. The length of the suspensions must be proportional to the total thermal expansion of the radiant panel.

Thermoplus
Thermoplus is mounted above windows and gives an efficient protection against cold draught. The slim shape also makes it suitable 2-3m for heating areas with limited space, like for example bathrooms. It can furthermore be a cost-effective and flexible alternative to floor heating. A front panel of white enamelled aluminium makes it scratch-resistant and discreet. The slim shape makes it practically invisible when mounted in the ceiling angle. Brackets for wall mounting are included. Fixtures for ceiling mounting are extra. Type EC, for dry rooms. Controlled by a separate thermostat or output control. Type ECVT, for wet rooms. Infrared heater IH
IH is an efficient heater and a perfect choice for exposed outdoor applications where design is important. There are two versions of 1,8 - 3,5 m IH, which allows a number of permutations. IHW gives a comfortable heat in the occupied area from close range and also wider heat distribution. IHF has more direct heat distribution and is designed to be installed higher up. ERP electric heating control ,

ERP is a modern, variable control that precisely adapts energy use to the current demand. Intended for single-phase or 2-phase electrical heaters. The control is connected in series between the mains and an electrical heater. The current is electronically switched by a triac without any moving parts. Therefore, the ERP is silent and maintenance free. ERP makes the temperature of the heaters even, for maximum comfort. The current is switched at zero phase angle, to eliminate network disturbance. ERP has a built-in temperature sensor, but external sensors (extra) can be connected and be mounted in a room or incoming air channel. For larger power outputs a slave unit (ERPS) can be connected. Fan heater Tiger 29 kW

Tiger is a range of fan heaters for portable use. The compact and robust design makes them suitable for use in workshops, garages and shops. Tiger can easily be hung on the wall. With the mode selector, the thermostat can be set to control just the heat or both heat and fan. The latter means that the fan is running only until the set temperature is reached. Thermostat with setting range 5 35 C. Tiger 2 kW and 3 kW have plugs for connection to earthed wall sockets. (3 kW requires 16 A fuse.) Fan heater Cat

Cat is a range of compact and robust fan heaters for wall mounting. The heaters are well suited for the heating of buildings such as smaller warehouses, garages, workshops and shops. Output selector with two steps. Thermostat range 535 C. With the mode selector, the thermostat can be set to control both heat and fan or just the heat. Cat can also be controlled via external output selector, thermostat and timer if so desired. With a mixing cabinet, heating can be combined with ventilation by mixing return air with fresh air. PA1006 is a compact door heater which heats the incoming air and gives increased comfort on the inside. When wall mounted, the unit can act as a stationary fan heater. Type Description
PTA01, automatic temperature control

The PTA01 can be used to lower the heat when necessary, for example over nights and weekends. The control consists of an electronic time switch (24-hour/week setting) and an electronic thermostat with an external sensor. The time switch alternates between day and night mode. IP55.
PBS01/02, mixing cabinet

Saves energy by mixing return air and fresh air in choosen proportions. Supplied with outer wall grille and masonry frame. Damper controls are extra.
PHR01, control lever for mixing cabinet

A control lever is used to control the mixing cabinet manually. The rod (not included) for the lever should have a diameter of 8 mm.
PSM01, damper motor

The damper motor is used in combination with PSA01 when several mixing cabinets should be controlled (one damper motor is included in PSA01). IP54.
PLR15/30, air director

Directs the air stream vertically or horizontally. PLR is snapped on the front of the heater. Torsional (turning) angle 0 35.
PSA01, automatic damper and temp. regulator

Lowers the temperature and reduces the air intake when the demand is lower. Consists of timer and thermostat with sensor, potentiometer and damper motor. If an exhaust fan is used, it can also be controlled with PSA01. IP55.
PTRP drying room kit ,

Consists of exhaust air fan, thermostat and timer. The exhaust air fan works alternately with for example a fan heater for shortest possible drying time and minimal energy consumption. A complete kit includes Panther fan heater with output 6-12 kW.
PFF15/30, exhaust air fan

Can be used for example in combination with the fan heater/mixing cabinet to obtain good ventilation. Air flow approximately 1400 m3/h or 2600 m3/h.

Fan heater SW is suitable for heating of buildings such as industrial premises, work shops and warehouses. Thanks to Frico technology which optimises the air flow through the battery, extremely low sound levels are obtained. The sound level can be as low as 35 dB(A). The basic unit consists of an integrated motor with an axial fan and a water-supplied heating coil and a corrosion proof casing of hot zinc-plated powder lacquered steel panels. Delivered with air director. The heater can be mounted on the wall or on the ceiling, and water connection can be done either on the right or left side. The airflow can be controlled in three steps. Ceiling fan ICF

Ceiling fans are used primarily to equalize the temperature in rooms with high ceilings, such as industrial and warehouse buildings, gymnasiums, and shops. Several controls as well as downrods and blades of different sizes are available, making it possible to adapt ceiling fan ICF to almost all premises. Ceiling fan ICF pushes the hot air from the ceiling and thus lowers the temperature there, the heat losses through the roof and walls are reduced and in many cases, heating costs can be reduced by up to 30%. Industrial ceiling fan ICF has a functional design and white colour which blends well in most premises. The low sound level makes it even more discreet. Can operate clockwise and counter-clockwise. Convectors
The rotary movement of air that forms in a room where the air is affected by a heat source is called convection. The air gets warm and rises then cools and returns to be heated again. Heat disperses in the room while the upward directed warm air stream is utilised to counteract cold draughts from windows for example. The ribbed pipe radiator is our oldest product that is still produced. The design is essentially the same as when it was first developed in the 1930s. The robust and durable construction is still very popular and has even found a new market in modern houses with large windows where ribbed pipe radiators are used for discrete heating and protection against cold draught. Our aim is for all our products to become classic. They should have a design that lasts, high quality and the best performance.
Ribbed pipe radiator

Frico ribbed pipe radiators are very robust and durable.The ribbed-pipe flanges give a large heat-emitting surface and make the radiator compact. Equipped with protection grille for higher safety. Areas of use are for example wardrobes, dressing-rooms and small store rooms. Type 126 is equipped with an output selector 01/32/31. Resetable overheat protection covers the whole length of the unit. The radiators are to be mounted horizontally on the wall with the overheat protection on the upper side of the unit. Colour: dark green, RAL 6005. CE compliant. 125-32B, 125-42B and type 126 are approved by Det norske Veritas. Frost guard
Frost guards are small, compact and give off a lot of heat despite their small size. They are appropriate for heating or frost protection in many different locations such as food cellars, pump houses, junction boxes, storage areas etc. Wall fixtures are included. FML must be mounted in a horizontal postition with the knob on the right hand side. FMS is mounted in a vertical position. Equipped with 1 metre cable, earthed plug and thermostat. Fan convector PF
The fan convector is designed to operate using less energy than ordinary radiators. The airflow equalises the temperature difference between floor and ceiling, which gives a higher efficiency and lower energy consumption compared to radiators without fan. The lower surface temperature allows painting of the front plate by the user if required. The standard version of PF is painted white. The circulating airflow created by the fan convector makes it suitable for installations where rapid heating is desired. The fan is very quiet with a sound level below 30 dB(A). Approved by SEMKO and CE compliant.
Fan convector PFW, water heated

Effective heating can be maintained with considerably lower water temperature as the fan distributes the heat from the radiator quickly and efficiently. The product is adapted to todays low temperature heating systems and replaces conventional radiators. The unit is equipped with a filter.

ThermoWarm is a range of very compact and easily positioned radiators with ribbed flanges and encased tube elements suitable for public premises such as dressing rooms, stockrooms and rest rooms. The TWTC can also be used in corrosive and aggressive environments. The ribbed flanges provide the radiators with a large heatemitting surface, and thus, a lower surface temperature. The TWT200 has a covered front which reduces the surface temperature further, to 60 C. All models are easily mounted on the wall and have a thermostat with a setting range of 035 C. The front plate is easy to remove for cleaning. A resetable overheat protection covers the whole length of the unit and it releases if the convector is covered. On/off control (for slow systems) or proportional control (for faster systems) in the same thermostat. TD10 has adjustable P-band and time of cycle. Internal and/or external sensors (external sensor RTS01 available as an accessory) give the possibility of selecting the sensor function e.g limiting external sensors (min/max). Save reduction either by built-in manual switch or via external timer. CE compliant.
Capillary tube thermostats with alternating contacts

For the control of heating and cooling, valves and fans. The housing is of thermal plastic. For 230/400 V and approved for 16 A at 230 V and 10 A at 400 V. KRT1900 and KRT1901 have internal dial. IP55. KRTV19 has an external dial with an adjustable stop for the maximum setting. IP44.

Two-step control is appropriate for the gentle and economical control of heat output in fan heaters and air curtains. KRT 2800 has an adjustable temperature difference between the steps (14 C). For 230/400 V and approved for 16 A at 230 V and 10 A at 400 V. IP55.

VR 20/25, valve set

For control of water flow to water heated air curtains. The valve set consists of the following: AV20/25, stop valve JVF20/25, adjustment valve TRV20/25, on/off 3-way control valve BPV10, by-pass valve SD20. actuator on/off 230V~ The stop valve (AV20/25) consists of a ball valve which is either open or closed. It is used to turn the water flow off and on. The water flow can be fine-tuned manually with the adjustment valve and can also be completely turned off. The water flow may be read off the valve. The kv value for JVF20 is 3,5 and for JVF25 it is 5,5. If the 3-way valve (TRV20/25) is closed, the flow through the by-pass valve is low to ensure presence of warm water in the heating coil. This leads to instant heat supply when needed and some degree of frost protection. The actuator (SD20) works on/off. The valve set is available with two different valve dimensions: VR 20 - DN20 (3/4) and VR 25 - DN25 (1). The by-pass valve dimension is DN10 (3/8). To regulate VR20/25, a suitable thermostat has to be added.
TVV20/25, 2-way control valve

TVV20 has a pipe dimension of DN20 (3/4) and TVV25 of DN25 (1). Pressure class PN16. Maximum pressure 2 MPa (20 bar). Maximum pressure drop TVV20: 100 kPa (1 bar) Maximum pressure drop TVV25: 62 kPa (0,62 bar) The kv-value is adjustable in 3 steps:

SD20, actuator on/off 230V~

SD20 regulates the heat supply. Works on/off. A 5 second closing of the valve prevents sudden pressure changes in the pipe system. IP40. TVV20/25, 2-way regulation valve and SD20, actuator provides a basic form of water regulation, without the possibility of adjusting or shutting the water flow off, e.g. when making maintenance. A suitable thermostat is chosen to regulate TVV20/25 and SD20.

How is sound measured? Sound level is measured in decibels (dB). The dB is a logarithmic unit used to describe a ratio. If the sound level is increased by 10 dB, the result is twice as loud (as perceived by human ear). It is also useful to know that two equally strong sound sources give an added sound level of 3 dB. Assume you have two entrances with two air curtains in each entrance, all four units with a sound level of 50 dB. The total sound level will then be 56 dB. The first opening will have a total sound level of 53 dB plus an extra 3 dB from the other opening.
