To ensure that this pays off even faster, we have reduced the time required for servicing as well as the costs for maintenance and operation for the MultiClass to an absolute minimum in addition to increasing the ease of maintenance. Economy under the bonnet and on the bottom line

he overland MultiClass is a vehicle with a promising future in many regards. The new BlueTec EEV aggregates, among other things, turn the MultiClass into a solution marked by ecological and economical excellence. You now comply with the voluntary EEV emissions standard even without a diesel particle filter and surpass the quality of emissions required by the applicable Euro V standard. At the same time, foregoing the particle filter results in tangibly lower maintenance and operating costs. This means a lean line achieved by very economical means. But you can choose more than just your engine from an extensive modular range. Select from a variety of options for the transmission as well from automatic to the AS-tronic. The ZF-RAS trailing axle provides active steering support for more than just added comfort offering, for instance, easier manoeuvring, smaller turning circles and improved straight driving. It also reduces wear and tear on tyres. A further plus with regard to economy is provided by the modern cathodic dip painting (CDP) and undercarriage protection of the MultiClass with several components (also standard): excellent preventive care for a long bus life.

The new generation of Setra seats give you a choice of various models and many high-quality upholstery materials and you can also opt for seat features that correspond more precisely to your requirements than ever before. For maximum comfort, all seats now have suspension seat cushions and can be intuitively operated in every aspect. Service sets above the seats and optimised air-conditioning can be requested to round off the travel features.

You can, for example, choose door sizes, ComAir air-conditioning and technology for the destination indicator which precisely suit your main application. Thanks to its weight-optimised design, the sturdy scheduled service seating is surprisingly light. This saves not only fuel but also increases the number of passengers that you can accommodate. A space for prams or wheelchairs fits perfectly into the design concept. And with its straight front for scheduled service, the vehicles purpose is readily apparent from its exterior.

he comfort that awaits the driver in the MultiClass cockpit is perfectly adapted to suit this special purpose. It supports the driver not only at bus stops but also on long trips. Even on extended excursions, excellent conditions are given for high levels of concentration and relaxed driving. A refrigeration unit and a joystick for shifting, for example, are ergonomically integrated in the cockpit with particular practicality, along with many generous storage compartments and trays which keep everything neat and tidy. It is possible to remove the fare box prior to an excursion just as easily as you can put it in for scheduled runs: just one of many examples of the unparalleled flexibility of the MultiClass.

Consequently, we have made ergonomic design a priority for the functional scheduled service cockpit, which is evident, for example, in the extensive adjustment options and settings for the drivers seat. An intelligent multifunction display, centrally positioned in the drivers field of vision, provides easily legible information on critical data and occurrences in addition to serving for the purpose of onboard diagnosis. Appropriate protection for driver and passengers
he name Setra has always stood for high-level safety standards in coach building. The vision behind this also applies to the MultiClass tailored to your specific application. Its holistic safety concept, whose elements are interlinked across all vehicle components, includes various active and passive systems, for instance, which support the driver in critical situations and minimise the consequences should an accident occur. This makes it possible for the driver and passengers to enjoy that good feeling of travelling in safety. Making driving easier. For example, with a consistently ergonomic cockpit design for optimum operating comfort and a high level of user safety. Improving perception. Modern mirror systems and powerful lighting equipment such as Litronic Xenon lights further increase the high protection potential.

Supporting reactions. For instance, with the Electronic Stability Programme ESP. This tangibly reduces the risk of skidding, while the anti-blocking system (ABS) and traction control system (TCS) ensure safe braking and starting in every MultiClass. Minimising damages. Passenger safety is increased since less standing room is available: the more seats there are, the greater the protection. And this is even more the case since our seats have been tested in crash situations. The grips are just as accessible as the passenger buttons. And the MultiClass integrated roll bars make for a passenger compartment that can withstand great impact. Further safety features are the front axle with single wheel suspension as well as a chassis technology that corresponds to that of Setra coaches: both of which are a real plus in terms of comfort and safety.

The Electronic Stability Programme (ESP ) is an active system for increasing driving safety and driving stability. It tangibly reduces the risk of skidding when navigating curves and taking evasive action. Even in situations which experienced professional drivers could not contend with.

The passenger buttons also contribute to the high level of safety of the overland MultiClass. Not only are they available in large numbers, but they are easy to access from almost every part of the compartment. The compact S 412 HD: Its moderate length of just under 11 metres secures it the smallest turning circle in the MultiClass. It is perfect for scheduled runs on mountain bends and serves as an economical addition to your fleet.

The versatile S 415 H: Its high floor and correspondingly large baggage hold ensure it high levels of application flexibility. This makes it an excellent choice for overland tours as well as scheduled, occasional, shuttle and excursion runs.

The 12-metre class S 415 UL : The S 415 UL is unparalleled in its category. With its proven standard length, it is the ideal vehicle for a wide range of different applications: from excursions to overland runs.

The generous S 416 H: This longer sibling of the S 415 H is ideally designed for the requirements of combined usage. Passengers enjoy the interior without wheel housings and its impressive versatility including additional seats.

The combination S 416 UL : The S 416 UL succeeds in combining economy and comfort with particular excellence. With four additional seats and operating costs remaining practically unchanged this is the ideal choice for company transit and occasional runs.

Door with high panel (SV) The classic variation for overland applications. LED indicators Light emitting diodes: A durable system for a highly visible and intensively bright display.

The stable S 417 UL : Thanks to its three axles, it not only offers coach-standard driving comfort but can also take the weight of many additional features. And it is perfect for longer trips with its large baggage hold. Door with low panel (SV) The middle road ideally suited for city and overland operation. LCD indicators Liquid crystal display: Flat, space-saving, durable and with excellent font outlines. It is possible to integrate many other systems in addition to Setras proven destination indicators.

Fully glazed door (standard) The longest S 419 UL : Despite its considerable dimensions and 69 seats, it features an astonishingly small turning circle of just 23.64 metres. The reason: its front axle with double transverse control arm single wheel suspension that works together perfectly with the ZF-RAS trailing axle. Of course, all door variations are available for 2- and 3-axle vehicles. The perfect door for inner-city transit with your MultiClass.
