Su propsito final es crear sinergias entre los agentes socio-econmicos, para lograr que el desarrollo de nuestra sociedad sea ms sostenible, justo y respetuoso con nuestro planeta. El trmino ECOMMESIS hace referencia al estudio y simulacin de los principios directores de los ecosistemas naturales, para mejorar su eficiencia y reducir los impactos ambientales. Propone como solucin para permitir el desarrollo humano sostenible, la imitacin de los ecosistemas naturales. La Direccin Tcnica de ECOMMESIS est formada por equipos de trabajo especializados en diferentes campos como son: movilidad sostenible, educacin y comunicacin ambiental, participacin ciudadana, formacin, economa ecolgica, investigacin y gestin ambiental, coordinados por ambientlogos. Desde ECOMMESIS comprendemos la necesidad de aunar esfuerzos entre los diferentes especialistas que puedan aportar su visin o labor en pos de una nueva cultura ambiental, ms respetuosa y preparada para los cambios que suceden en nuestro planeta da a da.

Adems contamos con profesionales de otros campos como son derecho, periodismo, ingeniera, diseo y publicidad, ciencias de la naturaleza, economa y sociologa. Este hecho nos permite abordar de una manera realmente multidisciplinar los proyectos para buscar las soluciones, social y ambientalmente, ms sostenibles.

La comunicacin ambiental es una lnea de trabajo muy importante, pues la informacin es esencial para tener al da a los ciudadanos de a pie. Tal es as que ECOMMESIS desarrolla y colabora en programas de emisoras de radio locales, prepara artculos de difusin cientfica y/o tcnica para publicaciones universitarias, colabora en programas de TV, etc.
